DRG has a new book coming out "9/11 Contradictions". I hope in this one he no longer promotes the "no plane at the Pentagon" theory, or at least acknowledges that it's controversial and not accepted by most people that question the official story. This article in The Canadian is the first in a series, very intelligent analysis of the Secret Service violations of standard procedure in Sarasota.

"The Secret Service’s failure to hustle Bush away seemed even stranger in light of the reports that Vice President Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, and several congressional leaders were quickly taken to safe locations. Should not protecting President Bush have been an even higher priority? As Susan Taylor Martin of the St. Petersburg Times put it on July 4, 2004: "One of the many unanswered questions about that day is why the Secret Service did not immediately hustle Bush to a secure location, as it apparently did with Vice President Dick Cheney."

This talk is based on David's book "Debunking 9/11 Debunking" and brilliantly rebuts Popular Mechanics and other defenders of the official conspiracy theory, and shows how their arguments do not stand up to empirical analysis.

Pointing out that most objections to the alternative theory that 9/11 was an inside job, are based on purely a priori arguments and a propagandistic use of the term "conspiracy theory", he shows that if we get empirical about 9/11, we can quickly see that the official story cannot be true.

The stimulus for my writing this book was the appearance in August 2006---just before the fifth anniversary of 9/11---of four publications intended to bolster the official account by debunking the alternative view, according to which 9/11 was an inside job. The most explicit and well-known of these publications was a book by Popular Mechanics entitled Debunking 9/11 Myths.

David Ray Griffin, one of the nation’s preeminent scholarly critics of the official version of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, will visit the Denver/Boulder area in October 2007. Griffin is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy, Religion and Theology at the Claremont (California) School of Theology and the author of more than twenty books, the most recent of which are Debunking 9/11 Debunking and Christian Faith and the Truth Behind 9/11.

Tuesday night was Dr. Griffin's presentation of "9/11, Evidence, and Faith" presented by Columbus911Truth.org and TruthOhio.org. He spoke to a crowd of about 200 people (that's a lot for Columbus) at First Congregational Church and received a standing ovation before moving on to a Q&A session. We had people come from all over the state, including organizers from Dayton 9/11 Truth, We Are Change Cleveland, and Cincinnati 9/11 Truth.

It has been six years since the events of September 11, 2001. It has been 3 years since the release of the 9/11 Commission Report. Yet there appears to be a growing number of questions surrounding this seminal event.
We all heard how 19 Arab hijackers commandeered four airliners and steered three of them into their targets. The fourth was overtaken by passengers and caused to slam into a field.
We were told that Arab extremists led by Osama bin Laden had orchestrated these attacks from Afghanistan. We were told that they hate Americans because of their freedoms.

This event constituted the grossest breach of national security since Pearl Harbour. Many wondered how such a massive failure of intelligence was possible.
The American public demanded that there be an official enquiry into the attacks. The Bush Administration waffled for over a year until finally, after intense pressure from families of 9/11 victims, it awarded 14 million dollars to put together a commission.

On friday, the 9/11 Truth Movement, along with Professor David Ray Griffin, was suggested as a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize in Kristiansand, Norway, where Loose Change Final Cut had a testscreening on saturday, by Berit Ås and Per-Aslak Ertresvåg of the 9/11 Press Conference Group (see http://www.911pk-gruppen.no/Welcome.html).

It was a debate on "Religion and war – two sides of the same coin?" that David Ray Griffin had an introduction on the subject for about 20 minutes.

After the debate he talked about 9/11 inside job. And I also got his autograph in my book "The New Pearl Harbour".

Today it was an pressconference (see http://www.911pk-gruppen.no/) where David Ray Griffin talked a lot about 9/11 and his new book "Debunking the 9/11 debunking". The reason for the pressconference was to stimulate the norwegian mainstream-media, whitch is very silent about 9/11.

Hi all,

I checked out JREF for the first time in awhile today, and finally their own Ryan Mackey has offered an answer to David Ray Griffin's latest book - at least the NIST chapter. It's an MS Word document totaling 198 pages.

I've read the first several pages where he gives a general overview. I don't have the time or energy to get into it in depth tonight (or for that matter this whole weekend). I would like to read it all, but perhaps some of you can beat me to it. I am open to all sides of an argument and this would indeed be the first lengthy critique to any aspect of Griffin's book. That being said, much of what I've read so far isn't impressive; he basically says, (in a long-winded way designed to fill up space), that "YOU are claiming controlled demolition, so the burden of proof is on YOU, not on NIST."

Anyone out there want to help me out? I'm interested in what people think are the paper's strong points and flaws. I think it's important that Truthers and Debunkers put their strongest stuff out in the open to be examined objectively.

9/11: Here it comes again

The last time I checked my stack of screeners, I did not see a single television special being produced to observe the sixth anniversary of the attacks on New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.

That has not stopped another group of highly creative people from generating their own commemoration of the events of 9/11. I refer, of course, to conspiracy theorists.

This morning I found an email in my inbox from one Guy Smoot, who identified himself as a graduate student in classics at Rutgers University, arguing that 9/11 "was an inside job." I think it was the classics part that got me — that was my major in college, too, and I've always thought it helped develop my critical-thinking skills, which seem to be missing, or underutilized, among the 9/11 conspiracy crowd.

After establishing through a web search that Mr. Smoot probably was who he claimed to be, I read his letter more carefully and wrote a response.

Statement to this website 8/27/07: "The 9/11 tragedy is the most successful and most perverse publicity stunt in the history of public relations. I arrive at this conclusion largely as the result of the research and clear writing by David Ray Griffin in his fabulous books about 9/11. I first met him when he was a speaker at a scholarly conference unrelated to 9/11. After this call, a firestorm of 9-11 truth began to rage until, after multiple callers had proclaimed their doubt about the government's story, a poor Republican woman had to bemoan how she was depressed that there wasn't enough talk about Al-Qaeda and other Islamo-extremists. She then proceeded to talk about how Janet Reno was the worst AG because of Waco and Ruby Ridge. You'll find no Janet Reno apologist here. People are pissed. And they're beginning to understand who at. Let's take it to court.
