This is a documentary commentary on 9/11 Truth and the 9/11 Debate: Jon Gold Vs. For the last couple of days there has been a flurry of negative (one-star) reviews, ratings and comments at the Amazon page for The New Pearl Harbor Revisited by David Ray Griffin, driving its overall rating down from 5 to 4 stars and piling up negative votes on favorable reviews of the book. James B of Screw Loose Change seems to be the leader of the operation to drag down the ratings. The common feature of all the negative commentary is that none of its authors seem to have actually read the book. Some have admitted as much, but Amazon has permitted their reviews to remain. Here at 911Blogger many people have in fact read the book. It would be very helpful to the future readership, and to the 9/11 truth movement, if everyone who has read it would go to Amazon and review it and rate the other reviews. Dave Weigel of Reason Magazine published an article called Free Paulistine on September 3rd. A part of the article contains the following quote:

I was reading your paper published at the Journal of 9/11 Studies, and I was wondering why you misrepresented the Angus-Reid poll on page 16:

“An Angus-Reid poll comparing responses from 2002 and 2006 found similar results, and that in 2006, only 16% of Americans believed that the government is telling the truth about the events of 9/11[16].”

If you go to the poll, which you footnote, you find that that question does not even ask people whether they believe "the government is lying about the events of 9/11":

A blogger at Daily Kos has repeated an invitation from Screw Loose Change to enlist liberal bloggers in the fight against 9/11 Truth. The blog by "kia ora" (snippets below) reflects the split personality of liberal Democrats on this issue:

Dear Dr. Jones:

In a recent letter you criticized me, and Mark Roberts, for failing to notify you about questions that we had regarding your misrepresentation of a photograph of firefighters at Ground Zero searching for their fallen comrades with a flashlight. In this you expressed the hope that we would contact you in the future regarding such issues. While it is true that I had failed to contact you directly, although I am not sure how you missed this issue since it was publicized throughout the 9/11 conspiracy theory community, I had in fact contacted you on concerns I had about your misrepresentations of fact regarding other 9/11 issues previousy, but you failed to respond. Not being one who likes writing e-mails for the purpose of being ignored, I stopped trying.

Screw Loose Change, a blog devoted to adoring the 9/11 Commission Report, has officially declared its broader goal. "Screw government transparency," says Pat. "Somebody has to rail against those 9/11 Twoofers, who want a new investigation of 9/11. New investigation? What for, when you have the bipartisan 9/11 Commission Report?"
