"The so-called 9/11 Commission has already been meeting. In fact, this is its eighth session. The fact that former Clinton and both former and current Bush administration officials are testifying gives it a certain tension, but this is not 'what did he know and when did he know it' stuff. History Channel - 9/11 Conspiracies, Fact or Fiction? A Review

The History Channel released a new documentary about those who question the “official story” of 9/11.  While “9/11 Conspiracies, Fact or Fiction” is professionally edited, and interviews many different commentators, it is also highly biased.  It frames the entire discussion in this way:

“Conspiracy theory. Conspiracy Theorists claim... Conspiracists say... Conspiracy, Conspiracy, Conspiracy!”

Cue Music and Response:

·        "Expert"

·        "No, that's not true" (Without explaining why: Begging the question)

·        The government is too incompetent!

·        We're an EXPERT! See the Graphic!

After some twenty dozen mentions of the dirty word "conspiracy", we come mercifully to an end. 

While Popular Mechanics continues its lame and pompous efforts at defending the official "conspiracy theory", their "debunking" efforts are objections that have been frequently answered elsewhere.  Take for example, their section on the controlled demolition theories.

About a quarter hour into my half hour interview with her Wednesday, Penny Dodge, chief of staff for Oregon's Congressman Peter DeFazio, asked me what a "false flag" attack was. I explained it in a few words.

A false flag attack is one in which you attack your own people, then blame it on a group of people you want to attack. It's a radical stratagem for instantly creating hatred, and it's common, historically speaking, all the way from ancient to modern times. For example:

Relatives of Sept. 11 victims upset by plans to move this year's commemoration have reached a deal with Mayor Michael Bloomberg that will allow them to mourn at ground zero, the mayor's office said Thursday.

Bloomberg said he met with the families and agreed to their proposal that they be allowed to descend briefly into the seven-story pit that was the World Trade Center's basement to pay their respects.

The city announced last month that the sixth anniversary ceremony could not be held at the 16-acre site, as it had been each year since the 2001 attacks, because construction there made the area too dangerous for such a large gathering.

But Bloomberg said Thursday that the families' proposal for "a very limited and controlled level of access" to the pit had been deemed safe by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which owns the lower Manhattan site.
