The author, who has had several novels appear on best-seller lists, believes the topic is timely, especially with oil reaching the $100 a barrel mark.

Japanese Senator for 9/11 Truth Calls for Movement to Step Beyond Internet – Steve Alten Answers the Call

Japanese Senator, Yukihisa Fujita, a member of the main opposition party in Japan, gained world renown through non-US media and in the US via youtube, for his assertion on national Japanese television that 9/11 was an inside job. He recently spoke several times about the importance of www.PatriotsQuestion911.org in waking him up to the lies of 9/11. He stated that the architects, engineers and physicists like Professor Jones have made the case of controlled demolition well, and now it is time for politicians to be organized, and connect internationally and make joint petitions to the US Government or Congress, and to request the United Nations have independent investigations of 9/11.

Steve Alten dreams big.

In his fantastic 1997 first novel “Meg,” he imagined a gigantic prehistoric Megalodon shark that surfaced from the depths of the Pacific Ocean to terrorize mankind.

In Domain (2001) he visualized the cruel, violent human sacrifices of ancient Mayans.

In “The Loch” he explored the possibility of a real Loch Ness monster.

Now Alten is deadly serious in “The Shell Game,” a thriller that tackles the large and looming issues of the end of oil, the next 9/11 terrorist attacks and ultimately the end of civilization. Alten will speak and sign his book at 7 p.m.

In the last 48 hours, N.Y. Times best selling novelist, Steve Alten, author of, "The Shell Game," was recently shocked and dumbfounded that he’d become the victim of harassment, when someone not only put a map of his home and his personal private phone number and home address up on the internet, . . . but also either remotely accessed or intercepted personal private email between he and his publicist . . .

Having been a patriotic citizen working to expose the deceptions leading us to war, I’d personally become fascinated with Alten’s new novel, “The Shell Game.” I’d contacted him through his website after a high school English teacher told me about “The Shell Game,” because it dealt with oil, war, and deceptions leading us to war.

So, when I learned this novelist had become increasingly a victim of bizarre harassment, I suspected “why” this may have happened, and then decided it might be instructive to explain it to others. So I wrote this oped this morning. For this, in my opinion, represents yet another event in the chronology of a movement for truth that has been attacked and maligned for years now.

Commercial fiction and 9/11 truth have formed a strange marriage, and a mutually beneficial relationship. The original 40,000 book print run of “The Shell Game” is almost sold out even before the book has even hit the bookstores. A big part of that success may be from the growing support of the 9/11 truth community who has come to largely enthusiastically realize, although for a few some times begrudgingly, that “The Shell Game” will, in the end, help draw a much larger audience to the 9/11 truth movement.

Using fiction to fight for factual truth, was a stretch for some 9/11 activists, but the tide is quickly changing. For example, within one day, one prominent 9/11 truth activist went from condemning use of “The Shell Game” as a 9/11 truth spreading tool, . . . to wholly and enthusiastically endorsing it to help open the public mind to 9/11 truth. This is a growing pattern. The more 9/11 truth activists learn about this upcoming blockbuster book, the more excited they become.
