Yes, the quest for a new and true investigation of the 9/11 attacks seems like a lost cause. Still, some brave souls go out on a limb and press the issue with politicians and media celebrities. For these brave, persistent souls, I am compiling a list of short, to the point questions to ask...

1. If the president is told, "we're under attack," and he doesn't take on his duties as commander in chief of the military -- is that technically treason ("aid and comfort" to the "enemy")?

2. How many NORAD fighter jets were assigned to protect America on January 20 2001 -- the day Bush took office -- as compared to on 9/11?

3. If the 28 redacted pages of the Congressional Joint Inquiry into 9/11 implicate the Saudi Arabian government, as Senator Graham has said, isn't it time to expose this and to tell the American people the truth?

4. If America is fighting a "war" on terrorism, then why are they supporting terrorist groups called "MEK" and "Jundullah" right now, as reported by Seymour Hersh in the New Yorker?

Isn't Cheney's continued linking of the Saddam regime to al-Qaeda and the 9/11 events the most "outrageous conspiracy theory" of all? Did it not have more real-world impact than any other conspiracy theory? Note that he did it again yesterday:

Should 9/11 have been responded to as a crime against humanity, or as an act of war?

Is it untrue that 9/11 was employed as the justification for military actions and domestic policies that would have otherwise been politically difficult or infeasible? Is it untrue that each of these actions and policies was explicitly desired and planned in advance by the main players of the Bush administration?

Do you justify the appointment of Philip Zelikow as the executive director of the 9/11 Commission? Does not this appointment on its face indicate a cover-up?

The Family Steering Committee is pleased that former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and members of his Administration will be giving sworn testimony before an audience of Families of 9/11 Victims and the American public.

Since the Commission is responsible for fulfilling the Congressional mandate to investigate all facts relating to 9/11, the following questions for the Giuliani Administration and the Port Authority of NY & NJ must be addressed at the May 18th –19th hearings in order to facilitate informed decisions and recommendations.

I'll post some commentary soon, once I'm all comfy here. Meantime I need to kick things off by asking some questions which some of you can probably answer more easily than I can find the answers on my own.

1. Is there a convenient way to see all replies to my posts here? I'm currently just refreshing the "news" page and looking for new comments, and then hunting those down one page and one comment at a time. That's not very efficient. I see in the help section that I'm supposed to be able to do this by "clicking 'recent posts' in the 'Site Sections' panel at the top panel of the left sidebar." Problem is, there is no "Site Sections" item anywhere on my screen. There is a "site features" page but that's a dead end.

2. Is there anything like a user's guide for this site, or is the stuff behind the "About * F.A.Q. * Site Features * Contact Us * Rules * Help" bar it?

3. Who appointed Philip Zelikow to the commission? Bush? Cheney? Other? Who assigned the duties to the various commission members and staffers?

4. Should I submit some poll ideas? I notice it hasn't been changed since I got here a week or 2 ago....
