F-16s scramble against airshow planes

"A dozen planes flew into the area, causing the North American Aerospace Defense Command to scramble its fighters. The four antiques intercepted were escorted to nearby airports and forced to land. The others were warned off."

What happened to waiting for over an hour before intercepting planes?

(CBS) PELLEY: One last thing. So important for the American people to understand. When your airplane approaches Manhattan this week, you will look out the window and you will see that the World Trade Center is gone. Many Americans, Mr. President, to be frank, believe that you look out that window and you say to yourself, "Good. Somebody got 'em." They believe our countries are enemies.

Bush on the Constitution: ‘It’s just a goddamned piece of paper’
By By DOUG THOMPSON
Dec 5, 2005, 07:53

Last month, Republican Congressional leaders filed into the Oval Office to meet with President George W. Bush and talk about renewing the controversial USA Patriot Act.

Several provisions of the act, passed in the shell shocked period immediately following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, caused enough anger that liberal groups like the American Civil Liberties Union had joined forces with prominent conservatives like Phyllis Schlafly and Bob Barr to oppose renewal.

GOP leaders told Bush that his hardcore push to renew the more onerous provisions of the act could further alienate conservatives still mad at the President from his botched attempt to nominate White House Counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.

An Open Letter to the New Generation of Military Officers Serving and Protecting Our Nation
By Dr. Robert M. Bowman, Lt. Col., USAF, ret., National Commander, The Patriots

Excerpt:

"Our oath of office is to "protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." Might I suggest that this includes a rogue president and vice-president? Certainly we are bound to carry out the legal orders of our superiors. But the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) which binds all of us enshrines the Nuremberg Principles which this country established after World War II (which you are too young to remember). One of those Nuremberg Principles says that we in the military have not only the right, but also the DUTY to refuse an illegal order. It was on this basis that we executed Nazi officers who were "only carrying out their orders."

Dawdler in chief: The suspicious behavior of George W. Bush during the 9/11 attacks

"Sandy Kress, Bush's unpaid education advisor, was puzzled. Bush was always on time. But on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, he seemed to want to linger, talking about politics and mutual friends in Texas." [1] So wrote Ronald Kessler in his account of the Bush presidency, A Matter of Character. The time in question was around 8:30 a.m., a quarter of an hour after American Airlines Flight 11 had broken communication with air traffic controllers. The 9/11 attacks were now underway. While many odd things took place that morning, Kress's observation highlights another curious detail: On September 11, 2001, President Bush was running late.

Two Highly Effective and Easy Actions On or Before 9/11.

There are two very easy and highly effective actions to take; one immediate and the other one, on or before 9/11.

The immediate action is the signing of a petition "Call to Investigate Alleged Capital Crimes Committed by Bush Administration." The target of this petition is John "slippery no backbone" Conyers who likes to talk through both sides of his mouth.

Even a whif that such crimes are being investigated would mean the political end of the Bush regime.

The second action item was started by a blogger right here and we have both acted on it; we have informed Federal Judges in Connecticut and California of acts of treason by the Bush administration. The intent is to take the issue of Impeachment away from the politicians. Actually, impeachment would be totally bypassed and we go straight to Treason Trials.

Shatter the Lies: O'Neill Tells '60 Minutes' Iraq Was 'Topic A' 8 Months Before 9-11

Anyone remember this?

"Long before "9/11 changed everything", former Secretary of the Treasury Paul O'Neill reveals that within days of taking office, President Bush was already planning the invasion of Iraq and the overthrow of Saddam."

Polls continue to show many Americans believe Iraq had something to with the attacks and many people see the Iraq war as a response to 9/11. Paul O'Neill was very clear about the Iraq agenda being rolled out 10 days into the first term.

The following CBS clip really needs to be included on any 9/11 DVD material that is being compiled.

"It was all about finding a way to do it. That was the tone of it. The president saying ‘Go find me a way to do this,’" says O’Neill. “For me, the notion of pre-emption, that the U.S. has the unilateral right to do whatever we decide to do, is a really huge leap.”

Family Security Matters Advocates Bush become ‘President-for-Life’

Family Security Matters Advocates Bush become ‘President-for-Life’

By Arabesque

"If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator."[1] George Bush, December 18, 2000

An organization called “Family Security Matters” with links to Dick Cheney promotes the idea that Bush should be dictator for life:

He could then follow Caesar's example and use his newfound popularity with the military to wield military power to become the first permanent president of America, and end the civil chaos caused by the continually squabbling Congress and the out-of-control Supreme Court.  President Bush can fail in his duty to himself, his country, and his God, by becoming ‘ex-president’ Bush or he can become President-for-Life’ Bush: the conqueror of Iraq, who brings sense to the Congress and sanity to the Supreme Court. Then who would be able to stop Bush from emulating Augustus Caesar and becoming ruler of the world? For only an America united under one ruler has the power to save humanity from the threat of a new Dark Age wrought by terrorists armed with nuclear weapons."[2] Philip Atkinson, Conquering the Drawbacks of Democracy [sic]

Bush Quote about the Iraqi government

There is a News article posted at Yahoo from Montebello, Quebec.
"Bush Acknowledges Frustration in Iraq"
By DEB RIECHMANN, Associated Press Writer

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070821/ap_on_re_ca/bush;_ylt=Arlqlu._kLU9HSVaGQozlfIUewgF

The following is what Bush said about the Iraqi government.

"The fundamental question is, will the government respond to the demands of the people," the president said. "And if the government doesn't ... respond to the demands of the people, they will replace the government. That's up to the Iraqis to make that decision, not American politicians."

Maybe he ought to start listening to himself because Bush has made it clear that his government isn't responding to the demands of the American people. So does Bush mean that the American people should replace the Bush government ?
