BBC's Third Tower: 30 Pieces of Good News

The one-hour BBC program The Third Tower should have a positive effect on spreading the truth about what happened to WTC 7. Despite its attempt to debunk by twisting and omitting facts, there is much to cheer about.

Here are 30 examples from the program:

1) There is a WTC 7, many have never heard of it.

2) No plane hit WTC 7.

3) WTC 7 fell down.

4) Several videos of WTC 7 falling down are shown.

5) The collapse is compared visually to a controlled demolition.

6) Barry Jennings tells of hearing multiple explosions in WTC 7.

7) Barry Jennings was told while in WTC 7 "Get out of there, get out of there now", which sounds very suspicious.

8) Barry Jennings' time-line is not contradicted by anything Barry Jennings says.

9) After seven years, no final report on the collapse of WTC 7 has appeared. The 9/11 Commission never mentioned the collapse of WTC 7.

10) The program will generate sales and Internet hits of 'Loose Change'.

The BBC Conspiracy Files programme on the third tower was shown on the 6th July. On the surface it seemed to be a pretty fair, balanced programme but all the alternative stuff appeared at the beginning and most people would have forgotten about it by the end of the programme. The 'swiss cheese' comments about the holes in the steel was shown at the beginning to demonstrate something dodgy only to be dismissed at the end as nothing important.

Steven Jones's work wasn't given enough time and they showed a brief clip of his lecture in Boston). The positive thing about this is that the BBC have done us a huge favour by finally admitting there was a third building collapse.

If Matt Taibbi had even one percent of Gore Vidal's intellectual grasp of American history, perhaps then it would make reading his presumed 'leftist' opinion about 9/11 a little easier to stomach. (I presume that Taibbi pitches from the left, because his screed is published at Alternet.org and AfterDowningStreet.org.) Fortunately, we don't need him. Gore Vidal is still among us, and it is his image and voice in the new Italian documentary 'Zero: an investigation into 9/11', that expresses a critical perspective of 9/11 that will ring true to the ears of those who will hear, and will help to free the prisoners currently living out the Allegory of the Cave, mesmerized by shadows of terror, cast upon the wall by the likes of yellow journalists like Taibbi.

This article isn't really new for anyone who's read the Fourteen Points letter and my previous posts; i created this as an overview of some of the points and the issues, both for people who are seeking info, and for activists to use. Also to maintain and expand visibility for the letter; OpEdNews.com is crawled regularly by Google- and i'm still experimenting with keywords, tags and spelling to see what happens with search "alerts" from Google and Yahoo by email; for some reason the PRWeb release from 4/22, which had been in a Google News alert that night, just showed up again today in a News alert.

While filming my documentary about Steven Jones, one of the issues I've tried to uncover is the exact reason Dr Jones was placed on paid administrative leave. BYU repeated this statement to the press numerous times: "The increasingly accusitory and speculative comments being made by Dr Jones regarding the collapse of the WTC."

I don't know about anyone else, but I find this explanation to be quite vague. What were the accusitory/speculative comments exactly? Did Dr Jones violate academic standards? Does this have anything to do with BYU's stance on being "polically neutral?" Was it because of Dick Cheney's visit several months later? Was it the man threatening Jones? Does BYU beleive in something called freedom of speech? All of these questions I would like to have answered. A rational person would think that BYU would want to quell any kind of speculation this event may bring to the public mind. However, my experiences show quite the opposite.

Sixteen months ago, Brigham Young University and Steven Jones parted ways, but he said this week he isn't bitter about the academic divorce.

He certainly hasn't curtailed his volatile research on the collapse of the three World Trade Center towers after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

(Yes, three towers fell, not just two. If you didn't know that, Jones is particularly interested in reaching you with his message that some other group, in addition to al-Qaida, likely contributed to the collapses.)

In fact, Jones is the lead author of a paper on the collapses published April 18 in a civil engineering journal.

The journal article does not list his past tie to BYU, and that's a big Mission Accomplished for university leaders, who felt they acted to protect BYU's reputation when they worked out a retirement package with Jones and he left at the end of 2006.

Prof. Steven E. Jones (Journal of 911 Studies.com) has reported the successful publication of a new peer-reviewed paper concerning the destruction of the World Trade Center. We wish to congratulate him and his colleagues on this outstanding achievement, but also to honor him for his moral character and his wonderful, civil demeanor. A letter has just been published in The Open Civil Engineering Journal published by bentham.org -OCIEJ is a mainstream, peer-reviewed scientific engineering journal. This event is significant because the authors, Dr. Steven E. Jones, Dr. Frank M. Legge, Kevin R. Ryan, Anthony F. Szamboti, James R. Gourley are known for hypothesizing that on 9/11 WTC 1, 2 & 7 were destroyed by controlled demolition. In their open letter they seek to reach agreement on grounds for "productive discussion" on the subject of the destruction of WTC 1, 2 & 7, based on the 14 points outlined in the letter Fourteen Points of Agreement with Official Government Reports on the World Trade Center Destruction, which in turn are based on assertions of fact already made by NIST and FEMA.

April 16th through April 22nd has been designated the Week of Truth in a concerted effort to break 9/11 Truth into the mainstream dialogue by pushing a book, The Shell Game, by Steve Alten, to the top of the New York Times Bestseller List. Simultaneously, truth is breaking out in other places, the movement, and truth are on the upswing.

April 16th-22nd was designated the ”“Week of Truth” in a concerted grassroots campaign by 9/11 Truth activists to break 9/11 Truth into the national dialogue by pushing a compelling work of fiction, The Shell Game to the top of the New York Times Bestseller list and get the author, Steve Alten, back on national television and radio shows. It might be easier to herd cats than to get a large, diverse, growing movement to focus on any one particular action. The movement is not monolithic and there are distinct disagreements on many aspects of 9/11, although even government officials are finally beginning to come to the consensus that the official 9/11 Report was a massive lie or cover-up and that, there has yet to be a genuine investigation into the crime of the attacks that took place on September 11th 2001.

By happy synchronicity, one of the best spokespeople of the 9/11 Truth Movement, Dr. David Ray Griffin, has also recently published a book- 9/11 Contradictions- An Open Letter to Congress and the Press. The book has been sent to Congressional Representatives, as well as to Senators and succinctly outlines 25 major contradictions within the official story, which together demonstrate that, by definition, a story with so many internal contradictions is an “outrageous” conspiracy theory, which should not be tolerated by honest journalists or public servants. As The Shell Game has moved up on Amazon charts, so has 9/11 Contradictions.

Dr. Steven E. Jones, Dr. Frank M. Legge, Kevin R. Ryan, Anthony F. Szamboti, and James R. Gourley have created an ingenious summary of 14 assertions of fact by NIST and FEMA (that actually contradict their conclusions) that now have to be addressed by the scientific community due to the article's publication in a peer-reviewed civil engineering journal. This is a historic moment, and I am extremely grateful for their consistent efforts.

So, anyway, I'm going to be putting it out there in the world and on the web, and posting updates, new ideas/material as appropriate- please chime in with comments, ideas, links, etc.
