9/11 in the Academic Community - Documentary Preview
Coming this fall, “9/11 in the Academic Community,” a Winner of the University of Toronto Film Festival, is a unique film that documents academia's treatment of critical perspectives on 9/11 by exploring the taboo that shields the American government's narrative from scholarly examination. Through a powerful reflection on intellectual courage and the purpose of academia, the film aims at changing intellectual discourse on 9/11 and the War on Terror.
All efforts are being made to make this film available by this October. Please widely distribute the following video preview: Youtube Video Preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFzVKDdCa6s
"Conspiracy Theory in America" by Lance deHaven-Smith (University of Texas Press)
Professor Lance deHaven-Smith's solid scholarship continues to make breakthroughs in examining high crimes. He coined the term
“state crimes against democracy” (SCAD) in the notable peer-reviewed journal, American Behavioral Scientist, and now he is taking on the "conspiracy theory" label in his new book, Conspiracy Theory in America, published by the University of Texas Press.
In a letter to the Journal of 9/11 Studies (http://www.journalof911studies.com/resources/2013LettersAprilde-HavenSmith.pdf), Prof. deHaven-Smith provides an excellent introduction to his book.
Dr. MacQueen: alleged 9/11 hijackers tasked with planting official story in advance
This radio interview of Dr. Graeme MacQueen originally aired on "Guns and Butter" with Bonnie Faulkner in July of 2011. The specific portion regarding Mohamed Atta's absurd encounter with a U.S. loans officer, Johnelle Bryant, was important enough to deserve its own video as it shows how narratives are scripted.
MacQueen calls this story "Mohamed Atta seeks a loan". Months before 9/11, the alleged 9/11 hijackers were trying to attract public attention. According to mainstream news reports, Atta tried to obtain a large loan from a U.S. loans officer and threatened to harm the officer and then gives away the targets of the 9/11 plot. MacQueen argues that this is not characteristic of a top secretive operative planning the biggest terrorist attack on U.S. soil. This is characteristic of a person tasked with planting the narrative ahead of time. MacQueen also shares important information about 9/11 being connected with the anthrax attacks and that the same people were behind both attacks. Stories like these make it easy to see through 9/11. Please distribute widely.
Prof. John McMurtry on The Moral Decoding of 9/11
The following article appeared in "The Canadian Charger", Canada's National E-Weekly: http://www.thecanadiancharger.com/page.php?id=5&a=1424
The Moral Decoding of 9/11
By John McMurtry
University Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Guelph
Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada
Unravelling the Turning Point of the Third Millennium
The Supreme Value System and Strategic Plan for World Rule
I was sceptical of the 9/11 events from the first time I saw the reel of it. It was on every major network within minutes. All the guilty parties were declared before any evidence was shown. The first questions of any criminal investigation were erased. Who had the most compelling motives for the event? Who alone had the means to explode two central icon buildings in New York into ashes and molten metal in seconds?1
Others questions soon arose in the aftermath. Why was all the evidence at the crime scenes removed or confiscated on the spot? Who was behind the continuous false information and non-stop repetition of ‘foreign/Arab terrorists’ when no proof of guilt existed? Who was blocking all independent inquiry?

Panel Conclusions of the Toronto Hearings and Documentary on 9/11 in Universities
On Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at the University of Toronto, Professors Richard B. Lee and Herb Jenkins, who served as Panelists at the Toronto Hearings on 9/11 at Ryerson University last year, will discuss their conclusions based on the presentations by several expert witnesses who argued that the official theory of 9/11 is false. The event is called "9/11: Are Our Universities Failing Us?".
This is intended to be a major event for the general public for the 11th anniversary of 9/11. In noting that many of the expert witnesses at the Toronto Hearings were university professors and that the larger academic community has generally maintained critical perspectives of 9/11 outside of its curriculum and publications, the documentary, "9/11 in the Academic Community" is of particular importance and will be screened at this event.

9/11: Are Our Universities Failing Us?
A Discussion on Academia's Treatment of Critical Perspectives on 9/11
& Conclusions of the Toronto Hearings on 9/11
World Premiere of documentary "9/11 in the Academic Community" - Winner, University of Toronto Film Festival (2011), directed by Adnan Zuberi. The documentary examines academia's treatment of critical perspectives on 9/11 by analyzing three areas: the nature and the dimensions of the taboo of researching and expressing critical perspectives of the events of 9/11, scholarly scrutiny and the official 9/11 narrative, and the role of universities and intellectual courage. Through the experiences of recognized university professors and a former university president, the documentary discusses how many academics who can be harsh critics of the Bush Administration and the war on terror yet for some reason identify themselves with the official narrative of 9/11 quite aggressively.
Lawyers Discussion: "Why charges never laid on OBL for 9/11?"
On April 29, 2012, Barry Shainbaum hosted two lawyers that discussed why charges were never laid on Osama bin Laden. Leo Adler, a criminal lawyer in Toronto, Ontario, provided reasons as to why Osama is considered a suspect whereas William Veale, a criminal lawyer in Berkeley, California, explains that there is much more to the story.

Bush’s Terror War and the Fixing of Intelligence
On September 11, 2001, within hours of the murderous 9/11 attacks, Bush, Rumsfeld, and Cheney had committed America to what they later called the “War on Terror.” It should more properly, I believe, be called the “Terror War,” one in which terror has been directed repeatedly against civilians by all participants, both states and non-state actors. It should also be seen as part of a larger, indeed global, process in which terror has been used against civilians in interrelated campaigns by all major powers, including China in Xinjiang and Russia in Chechnya, as well as the United States.2 Terror war in its global context should perhaps be seen as the latest stage of the age-long secular spread of transurban civilization into areas of mostly rural resistance -- areas where conventional forms of warfare, for either geographic or cultural reasons, prove inconclusive.
Terror War was formally declared by George W. Bush on the evening of September 11, 2001, with his statement to the American nation that "we will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them."3 But the notion that Bush’s terror war was in pursuit of actual terrorists lost credibility in 2003, when it was applied to Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, a country known to have been targeted by terrorists but not to have harbored them.4 It lost still more credibility with the 2005 publication in Britain of the so-called Downing Street memo, in which the head of the British intelligence service MI6 reported after a visit to Washington in 2002 that "Bush wanted to remove Saddam Hussein, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy."5 False stories followed in due course linking Iraq to WMD, anthrax, and Niger yellowcake (uranium).
This essay will demonstrate that before 9/11 a small element inside the CIA’s Bin Laden Unit and related agencies, the so-called Alec Station Group, were also busy, “fixing” intelligence by suppressing it, in a way which, accidentally or deliberately, enabled the Terror War. They did so by withholding evidence from the FBI before 9/11 about two of the eventual alleged hijackers on 9/11, Khalid Al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi, thus ensuring that the FBI could not surveil the two men or their colleagues.

Michael Keefer, Professor of English at the University of Guelph
His presentation, "Critical Thinking on 9/11 and the War on Terror", addressed an audience at the University of Waterloo. There were several important topics covered such as mitigated skepticism, scientific method, witch hunts and torture, hermeneutics, the hierarchy of evidence and the flawed arguments of defenders of the official narrative of the events of 9/11.
Transcript/Summary of the Presentation:
Dr. Peter Dale Scott: An Example of Intellectual Courage and Outstanding Scholarship
