Media Roots Interview with Brett Smith, Creator of Hypothesis

Interview with Filmmaker Brett Smith, Creator of Hypothesis by Media Roots

This is an exclusive Media Roots Radio interview with Utah based documentarian Brett Smith, conducted by Abby and Robbie Martin on February 23, 2011.

In 2006, Brett's love of films drew him into taking a film class where he was required to make a 15 minute short. That 15 minute short later turned into 40 minute documentary called Hypothesis.

Hypothesis is a documentary that follows physicis professor Steven E. Jones during a pivotal time in his life. In 2005, Jones went public with a theory about 9/11 that was so controversial, it resulted in everything from hate mail, threats, and even bribery to try to end his research. Despite the outside pressures, Jones vowed to never give up on his pursuit of the truth.

HYPOTHESIS is Excellent!

HYPOTHESIS is Excellent!

Let us hope it gets around.

I was able to speak with Brett Smith when in Denton Texas. I gladly gave him four DVDs he had not seen.

THANKS AGAIN ABBY

Can't wait to see Hypothesis!

Thanks Abby, Robbie, and Brett.

Steven Jones is True American Hero. He also has a great sense of humor!

On MSNBC's "The Situation with Tucker Carlson"

Tucker Carlson (quoting Steven Jones from the Deseret Morning News newspaper)

“Muslims are probably not to blame for bringing down the World Trade Center buildings after all”.

Tucker Carlson: “That’s I would think pretty offensive to a lot of people listening, do you have any evidence for that… I mean.”

Steven Jones: “Well ah, not to the Muslims I might say…..I’ve had a lot of e-mails”.

We were very fortunate to host the world premiere of Hypothesis

at our film festival last year and Brett is an absolute delight to work with!

Once this film is available on dvd, I strongly recommend pairing it with 9/11: Press For Truth, as both films will appeal to a very broad demographic.

Brett's film is probably the best 50 minute film you could show anyone to interest them in this important issue.

Thanks Abby and Robbie !

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

Agreed!

Hypothesis + Press for Truth would be an incredibly airtight pair. Great idea. Brett's movie really drew me in emotionally, and humanized Dr. Jones.

Glad you guys enjoyed the interview!

Here is another good idea.

We gave Steven Jones's DVD to all who attended.

"Hypothesis" At the Thin Line film festival

The documentary "Hypothesis" was one of the featured films at the Thin Line film festival in Denton, Texas and hosted by the University of North Texas. The film was well received and the audience learned a lot from this fine piece of film art.
The North Texans for 9/11 TRUTH were in attendance and passed out five-packs of DVD's pertaining to the 9/11 event.

Thanks for posting this interview

Certainly "Hypothesis" & Press for Truth have the potential to open more doors & get people involved than most 911 truth related videos. Intelligent, Honest & Emotional films. Both should be seen in every high school & college in America (IMO)

Winning Combination

This is a winning combination: "Hypothesis" & "Press for Truth." (or BFT & PFT)

Same with: Journal of 9/11 Studies & History Commons.

There should be no CD vs. Cover-up divide.

If you care about 9/11 Justice and Accountability then you care about ending the cover-up. And you ALSO care about bringing to justice the people who murdered over 2,000 people in the controlled demolition of these buildings........ which produced toxic dust that killed scores of first responders.
