I’m the tin-foiled hat wearing conspiracy ‘the government is out to get us’ nut?

I got a bit of information for the people who simply cannot believe that the US government is malevolent; thus cannot, will not evaluate the evidence of 9/11.
The EPA knowingly lied and supported falsified research on the toxicity of the air after 9/11; thus putting people in danger.
The US government ordered the EPA to give the public misleading information (relived in 2003).
Memos written by US and local government officials show that they knew about the situation (toxicity of the air and the misleading of the public).
Memos show that Whitman (EPA administrator at the time) conspired with the White House to falsely reassure the NY public that the air was safe.
So, am I really that insane to think that the government is out to get me?

Hitting A Note
I talk about 911 Truth pretty regulary to my friends. I find it amazing that they will push the line that I'm some how mentally 'crazy' because I bring this topic up a few times a week. People get uncomfortable and then claim that I'm 'obsessed'. But the fact is that the topic is brought up far less then the topic of 'getting high' or 'getting drunk' or conversations about pointless "the world is one we must not be negative" new age hype.
So, I have concluded that when people call you nuts for talking about this stuff you are basically hitting a note and their uncomfortable feeling is a result of their own lack of knowledge, lack of passion, and total willing acceptance of an unbelievable lie that can't even pretend to be back up by the truth of Science and facts.
Another thing that boggles my mind is the way in which people idolize the counter culture of the 60's and 70's by wearing the 'gear' and listening to all the great music that came out of that era...but they've basically stripped all of the 'activist spirit' from the equation.
How can one idolize Jon Lennon and his music and yet be so complacent in the mass murder in Iraq and elsewhere? I don't do much. I always wish I did more.
With history as my judge, we'll see who's crazy.

Of course the government is out to get you.
But not, necessarily, specifically.
Most of the time it's just by gosh and by golly and by bad luck.
Sometimes it's intentional and sometimes it's unintentional.
The trick is to not be overly paranoid about it. And hope for the best. And try to stay out of their way as much as possible.
The truth and reality of the matter is that 99% of the people are perfectly fine and safe and will never get screwed over by their federal, state, county, city/local governments. And it is always a matter of degree, as well. (that is, getting a ticket you don't deserve by some butthead cop versus having your house repossessed by the IRS, or being sent to Gitmo for no good reason, and everything in between)
And then there are more wide-spread generalized effects, as well, like the so-called Patriot Act and other laws the Congress passes and stuff like that. But, again, most people will not even be adversely affected by that individually. (which is why it's so difficult to get people riled up about it and protest it and fight against it, etc.)
The important thing to do for the last is to fight against it because it is wrong on principle, regardless of whether it directly affects you, or not.
