CAIRO, Egypt (AP) — Osama bin Laden's chief deputy on Tuesday denied a theory that Israel carried out the Sept. 11 attacks and blamed Iran and Shiite Hezbollah for spreading the idea to discredit the Sunni al-Qaida's strike against the U.S.

The comments in a recording posted on an Islamic Web site reflected the increasing criticism by al-Qaida's No. 2 leader Ayman al-Zawahri against Iran. Al-Zawahri has accused Iran in recent messages of seeking to extend its power in the Middle East, particularly in Iraq and through its Hezbollah allies in Lebanon.

The authenticity of the two-hour audio recording could not be independently confirmed. But the voice sounded like past audiotapes from the terror leader, and the posting where it was found bore the logo of Al-Sahab, al-Qaida's official media arm.

It was the second of two messages answering questions that were posted to Islamic militant Web sites earlier this year.

I know the story, but I want the absolute proof. Anyone? It's not hard to prove Cheney was "in charge" that day, however, it is hard to prove he was involved with the wargames. At least, that's what I've found the case to be.

Last night, Steve Alten and Bill Douglas were on Richard Greene's "Clout". I think it was an excellent show. I did appear on the show because when I heard Richard talk about the tapes not being released (with regard to the gas station and the hotel), I wanted to let him know they were, and I also wanted to lend support for Steve.

When I was saying there is no debate, I wasn't referring to "9/11 was an inside job." I was referring to the fact that the investigation we had was a farce, and that we need a new one. I think in order to first get a new investigation, you have to first prove that the original one was illegitimate.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree there needs to be a public debate to educate the public.

After one day, Steve Alten's book has gone to a ranking of #139 (as of 4pm) on Amazon.com. With regards to different genres, for Literature & Fiction/War, he's #1, for Literature & Fiction/United States, he's #6, and for Literature & Fiction/World Literature, he's #8.

I always ask myself, if there's nothing to what the 9/11 Truth Movement is saying, why waste so much time focusing on it?

This is an issue that needs to be promoted at every opportunity. Period. This destroys the argument that they would never kill 2973+ people because they were MORE than willing to let the heroes of 9/11 become sick and die.

JEFFERSON — Bergen County Harley-Davidson employee Rich Croland was lucky, in a sense, to miss a benefit concert in Carlstadt last month that promoted its upcoming Freedom Ride to Ground Zero.

The company's charity partner, Fred Parisi, was led out of the March 29 event by police officers on charges he stole $235,000 from a business colleague in Jefferson.

"I got a call, saying, 'Hey, did you see the front of the (New York) Daily News today?'" Croland said.

As a result, the arrest cast skepticism on Parisi's 9/11 Rescue Workers Foundation, the charity he was in Carlstadt to raise funds for in conjunction with the Freedom Ride promotion.

For years, Parisi, 40, of Jefferson, has claimed he was called in from a police recruiting field in Brooklyn to assist rescue efforts at the World Trade Center in Manhattan on Sept. 11, 2001.

In August 2007, Congressman Peter DeFazio, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, told the House that he and the rest of his Committee had been barred from reviewing parts of National Security Presidential Directive 51, the White House supersecret plans to implement so-called "Continuity of Government" in the event of a mass terror attack or natural disaster. (1)

Norm Ornstein, of the conservative American Enterprise Institute, commented, "I cannot think of one good reason" for denial. Ornstein added, "I find it inexplicable and probably reflective of the usual, knee-jerk overextension of executive power that we see from this White House." (2)

The story, ignored by the mainstream press, involved more than the usual tussle between the legislative and executive branches of the U.S. Government. What was at stake was a contest between Congress's constitutional powers of oversight, and a set of policy plans that could be used to suspend or modify the constitution.

I have a friend who I have worked with for 8 years. Someone that has absolutely REFUSED to listen to me. Someone that has played "devil's advocate". Someone that has absolutely, positively REFUSED to watch "9/11: Press For Truth". A movie his own friend of 8 years had something to do with.

I'm sure ALL OF YOU have a similar friend(s).

Today, this friend has FINALLY agreed to watch not only "9/11: Press For Truth", but "In Their Own Words: The Untold Stories Of The 9/11 Families" as well.

Maybe it has to do with the news regarding Philip Zelikow. Maybe it has to do with the news regarding the destruction of the CIA interrogation tapes. Maybe it has to do with the Sunday Times series concerning Sibel Edmonds.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that I called him out on critiquing something he has never seen.

Whatever the reason is, it is something I thought I'd never see.

Something may be happening.

Recently, there have been several reports that Condolezza Rice is considering running as John McCain's running mate.

Last week, Tom Mathews wrote "we are not fighting for oil in Iraq, so wake up."

Then, why are we in Iraq? I doubt it is a mere coincidence that our current Vice President, Dick Cheney, CEO of Halliburton Corp. from 1995 to 2000, said in 1999 that "the Middle East, with two-thirds of the world's oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize lies."

If oil is not on the agenda, then why did Cheney meet privately with big oil companies during the first few months of the Bush Administration's takeover? A White House document obtained by the Washington Post showed that Cheney met with officials from Exxon/Mobil, Shell and BP America. Why are the minutes from these meetings "classified" and does it have anything to do those "weapons of mass destruction" we didn't find in Iraq?
