Conversion to 9/11 Truth for the lazy

If your friends and family are too skepitcal to spend time investigating 9/11 for themselves, perhaps a simple questions and answers session is the best approach, backed up with links for further reading, often using Wikipedia. I Dedicate this blog to my brother, whose main objection to the idea of a conspiracy is the question concerning the French Newspaper Le Monde.

The Government would never kill their own people, would they? Conspiracies are just a new Internet-fad thing.

Sibel Edmonds movie Panel discussion

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/4/23/74643/2369

On February 3, Kill The Messenger, a documentary about FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds' case, was shown in DC - followed by a panel discussing "the current state of the U.S. Main media, unconstitutional government secrecy, and national security whistleblowers."

Panel members were James Bamford, Robert Parry, Mathieu Verboud, Ben Wizner (ACLU), Stephen Kohn, (Chairman, National Whistleblower Center), Kristina Borjesson (journalist). All bios available here.

I finally have video footage of the event - presented here in two clips. Firstly, a nine minute introduction by Sibel and the directors, and a 9 minute video of selected snips from the panel.

Is Wesley Clark the key to the military's conscience?

Wes Clark may not be the most popular man around here, but I have a strong hunch that he is central to opening up the US military to 911 awareness. He could be the most sensational whistleblower of all if he chose to tell us more like the story below. I sent it to Alex Jones site after I saw it on Digg , but they didn't print.

Please don't ignore this. We may have only a few days to stop an insane action on the part of the US against Iran. I have been 'led' to this . I can't say how.

YouTube - Wesley Clark calls for complete investigation of 9/11/01

''We never finished the investigation of 911 and whether the administration actually misused the intelligence information it had. The evidence seems pretty clear to me.I've seen that for a long time.''

This is an excerpt of Gen. Wesley Clark in a Democracy Now interview with Amy Goodman:

The "Surely someone would have spilled the beans" argument

Many one of you can help me with this. I'm sure you've had similar experiences (if you're on my side of the looking glass, which I know most or at least some of you are).

Last night I had the opportunity to discuss the JFK assassination and 9/11 with a medical doctor. He had approached me, and was genuinely interested. I really wanted to convince this guy that reason was on my side.

I did ok, although my knowledge on the details of JFK are rusty and I don't talk about these subjects often in German. The hardest question, though, came after we agreed that hundreds of people must have known about 9/11, including people, for example, who had been approached but decided not to participate. Surely somebody would have blown the whistle by now.

AT&T Whistleblower An Example of What 9/11 Truth Needs (And What Stands in Our Way)

The story of AT&T whistleblower Mark Klein is a prime example of what 9/11 Truth needs, and what stands in our way. This is from ABC's The Blotter:

Whistle-blower AT&T technician Mark Klein says his effort to reveal alleged government surveillance of domestic Internet traffic was blocked not only by U.S. intelligence officials but also by the top editors of the Los Angeles Times.

In his first broadcast interview, which can be seen tonight on World News and Nightline, Klein describes how he stumbled across "secret NSA rooms" being installed at an AT&T switching center in San Francisco and later heard of similar rooms in at least six other cities, including Atlanta, San Diego, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, San Jose and Seattle.

"You needed an ordinary key and the code to punch into a key pad on the door, and the only person who had both of those things was the one guy cleared by the NSA," Klein says of the "secret room" at the AT&T center in San Francisco.

The NSA is the National Security Agency, the country's most secretive intelligence agency, charged with intercepting communications overseas.

Illegal Wiretapping and Sibel Edmonds Claims supported by 2 FBI Whistleblowers

Two FBI Whistleblowers Confirm Illegal Wiretapping of Government Officials and Misuse of FISA

State Secrets Privilege Was Used to Cover Up Corruption and Silence Whistleblowers

The National Security Whistleblowers Coalition (NSWBC) has obtained a copy of an official complaint filed by a veteran FBI Special Agent, Gilbert Graham, with the Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General (DOJ-OIG). SA Graham’s protected disclosures report the violation of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) in conducting electronic surveillance of high-profile U.S. public officials.

Before his retirement in 2002, SA Gilbert Graham worked for the FBI Washington Field Office (WFO) Squad NS-24. One of the main areas of Mr. Graham’s counterintelligence investigations involved espionage activities by Turkish officials and agents in the United States. On April 2, 2002, Graham filed with the DOJ-OIG a classified protected disclosure, which provided a detailed account of FISA violations involving misuse of FISA warrants to engage in domestic surveillance. In his unclassified report SA Graham states: “It is the complainant’s reasonable belief that the request for ELSUR [electronic surveillance] coverage was a subterfuge to collect evidentiary information concerning public corruption matters.” Graham blew the whistle on this illegal behavior, but the actions were covered up by the Department of Justice and the Attorney General’s office.

Sibel Edmonds is back in the News.

Two FBI Whistleblowers Confirm Illegal Wiretapping of Govt Officials, Support Sibel Edmonds Claims

Sibel Edmonds has got her hands on an explosive official report from an FBI agent which demonstrates that the US Government was illegally spying on "high-profile U.S. public officials"

They were illegally using the rubber-stamping FISA court to do it (you know, FISA, the court they had to ignore in the illegal NSA wire-tapping case). FISA is supposed to be for "Foreign" persons only - not for domestic surveillance.

But here's the thing: Sibel worked for this particular agent when she was at the FBI - so this illegal spying uncovered all of the criminal activity that Sibel knows about "large-scale drug deals and of selling classified military technologies to the highest bidder" - and to top it off, no action has been taken, no arrests, no idictments, and they buried the enitre case by gagging Sibel, and congress - by claiming 'national security.'

Assets of reported CIA front-man frozen in Turkey

A court in Turkey has ruled to freeze the assets of reported CIA front-man Yasin al-Qadi (top). This story crosses paths with three 9/11 whistleblowers: Robert Wright (left), Indira Singh (center), and Sibel Edmonds (right).

A court in Turkey has ruled to freeze the assets of Yasin al-Qadi,1 a one-time acquaintance of Vice President Dick Cheney2 and reported “chief money launderer” of Osama bin Laden.3

Al-Qadi, prior to being publicly identified as a key al-Qaeda financer, owned a prominent U.S. technology firm and reported CIA front known as Ptech.4 He also escorted U.S. officials around during their visits to Saudi Arabia.5

“Council of State Administrative Cases Bureau on Thursday decided to annul a lower court's decision to rescind a cabinet order to freeze the assets of Saudi financier Yasin al-Qadi, who has been accused of financing terrorism,” the Turkish Daily News reported Saturday.6

So, where are those 9/11 whistleblowers?

70-page essay by that title is available as PDF, advertised here:

The description text and contents (below!) pretty much give away the argument to anyone who knows the issues and can use logic to reconstruct what he's saying, based on the issues raised. Nevertheless, you may decide that you'd like to read what looks like a well-organized treatment and give the guy a deserved $9.50.

I think it looks very interesting.

Where Are the 9/11 Whistleblowers?
Answering a Common Objection to Theories That the September 11 Attacks Were an Inside Job

Note: Since there have actually been many whistleblowers -- just no one who credibly claims to be one of the perpetrators -- the present title is something of a misnomer. (...)

"The term “national security” has become talismanic, parting the courts and Congress like Moses did the Red Sea. But the term has become a hopelessly ill-defined, ever-expanding tool of executive branch avoidance of accountability."

Solving the Catch-22

Many 9/11 whistleblowers will not go public because they are afraid that they or their families will be hurt, or that they'll suffer retribution in the form of job loss, or "swiftboating" type smear attacks.

However, I've heard of quite a few whistleblowers who have said that they will come forward if they are subpoenaed. In other words, being subpoenaed would provide not only the duty to testify, but also an excuse to do what they want to do.

But here's the Catch-22: unless prosecutors realize that there are a large number of whistleblowers, they won't even consider filing a lawsuit. In other words, no prosecutor or first-tier litigator in the country would file a 9/11 lawsuit unless they knew they have overwhelming witness support for alleging that 9/11 was an inside job.

So how do we get past this Catch-22?

Potential whistleblowers should agree in writing to testify in response to subpoenas in civil, criminal, or administrative proceedings. Then we should compile a huge list of names, but REDACT the actual names (i.e. white out their names) but leave their job descriptions or descriptions as "eyewitness" intact.

National Security Whistle Blowers: The 'Undead'?

National Security Whistle Blowers: The ‘Undead’?

You’d think a guy who helped bring down a corrupt congressman would get the thanks of a grateful government.

But you, of course, would be wrong.

Like so many other disillusioned ex-CIA, FBI and other erstwhile spooks, Haig Melkessetian’s career was derailed for telling the truth.

Today, he’s another casualty of Iraq, one of the growing number of national security “undead” in Washington’s intelligence demimonde, “entities that are deceased yet behave as if alive,” according to Wikipedia’s take on the horror flick creatures—“animated corpses,” bureaucratically speaking.

Melkessetian, a former security aide and Arabic translator to Jerry Bremer, the first American proconsul in Iraq, now works in a far lesser job for a U.S. government contractor in the Virginia suburbs.

His first sin: Telling Pentagon officials how screwed up things were in Iraq.

WikiLeaks.org: An opportunity for 9/11 whistleblowers

An new wiki is in the works, and it may be just what 9/11 whistleblowers need. It's called WikiLeaks.

"WikiLeaks is developing an uncensorable version of WikiPedia for untraceable mass document leaking and analysis. Our primary targets are highly oppressive regimes in China, Russia, central eurasia, the middle east and sub-saharan Africa, but we also expect to be of assistance to those in the west who wish to reveal unethical behavior in their own governments and corporations. We aim for maximum political impact; this means our interface is identical to Wikipedia and usable by non-technical people. We have received over 1.1 million documents so far. We plan to numerically eclipse the content the english wikipedia with leaked documents.

Open government is strongly correlated to quality of life. Open government answers injustice rather than causing it (plans which cause injustice are revealed and opposed before implementation). Open government exposes, and so corrects, corruption. Historically, the most resilient form of open government is one where leaking and publication is easy. Public leaking, being an act of ethical defection to the majority, is by its nature a democratising force.

Where Are the 9/11 Whistleblowers?

A common objection to the idea that 9/11 was an inside job is that hundreds, if not thousands, of people would have to have been involved. "Someone would have talked ... and we would have all heard know about it if they did." Although this objection sounds sophisticated, it is completely uninformed on several counts. And yet, most people who have stated this objection find it so compelling that they cut off the discussion at that point. So I decided to look at the objection more closely and write a paper about it.

To support my ongoing research, I am asking $9.50 for the essay. It comes with both a money-back guarantee and a free upgrade to the second edition when it's ready.

Please visit http://911research.wtc7.net/essays/roberts/index.html for a more extensive description of the essay and how to order it.
