I am not a propagandist. I have no agenda. I have faithfully reported what I have observed. And I share some of letter writer and 9/11 Truther Paul Ellcessor's exasperation.

Shame on the Fox News Channel for abusing Ellcessor's intellectual peer Rosie O'Donnell over her bold statement, "It's the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel." Fox lowering the bar on rational, scientific discussion is entirely unhelpful.

Rosie set to publish memoir in fall

Rosie O'Donnell will publish a book titled Celebrity Detox in the fall. According to CNN,

"Speaking at a breakfast gathering at BookExpo America, the publishing industry's annual national convention, O'Donnell said her long-delayed memoir on fame will not be "vindictive" or "mean-spirited," but will offer a candid look at her very public life, including her brief, battling stint on "The View.""

No word on whether the book will contain 9/11 Truth, but since it covers her time on The View one must assume it will.

ABC Investigates Why Rosie ‘Really’ Left ‘The View’; Ignores 9/11 Theories

Posted by Scott Whitlock on May 29, 2007 - 11:37.

On Tuesday’s "Good Morning America," the ABC program promised to investigate the "final straw" that pushed Rosie O’Donnell to leave "The View." Yet, somehow, neither anchor Chris Cuomo, nor reporter John Berman managed to mention the comedienne’s obsessive promotion of bizarre 9/11 conspiracy theories.

The segment also sympathetically portrayed O’Donnell. Co-anchor Cuomo even blurted out that Rosie "has to come here," meaning GMA. But first, reporter Berman tenderly noted that a video blog on her website features a picture of Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the show’s token conservative and frequent brunt of O’Donnell’s aggression:

John Berman: "As for Rosie O’Donnell, it does seem like she has at least a touch of nostalgia. On her blog, a new music video montage, pictures of her time at ‘The View,’ including one of Elisabeth Hasselbeck."

NY Times tries to discredit Rosie's claims about WTC7

This story was published today in NY Times Select:

About New York
A Notion From 9/11 Is Kept Alive
By JIM DWYER

The first day of the post-Rosie O’Donnell era on “The View” television show has come and gone, and by any fair accounting, an often useful provocateur has left the building.

In her final months on the air, she mostly dropped her public torment of an attention-starved, orange-haired real estate developer. Instead, she opened debates with others about terrorism, peace and citizenship.

She also recently took up — without quite spelling out — a theory that one of the buildings at the World Trade Center, No. 7, was brought down by bombs late in the afternoon of Sept. 11, 2001. No. 7 was not one of the towers struck by the airplanes, she said, but a separate building “that got hit by nothing — 47 floors and dropped, 5:30, into itself.”

Fox suggests Rosie fired over 'leaked' video of 9/11 talk

Update from William Rodriguez:

Dear Friends and supporters,
Fox news came out today with the rumor that Rosie O'Donnell was fired because she mentioned my story to a live audience of "The View" that was recorded by a spectator and posted on the Internet. The absurdity of their comments and their lack of investigative skills to even research that what she was talking about, makes Fox look like always, a far right demagogic network with no desire to look on the real evidence of 9/11. They finished by attacking the messenger like always.
Rosie did not get fired by mentioning me. I canceled the appearance before Rosie decided to quit, due to my many efforts in Washington and nationwide. Look on Rosie's blog today ( HTTP://www.rosie.com/blog/sections/ask-ro/ ) and she also address the rumors:

Fox says you left because of a video of you talking about wtc7 to the audience during a commercial break. Um, you talked about that on air! And you need to keep talking! Perpetuate the conversation!

"Is this the real reason?" Fox News asked Tuesday why Rosie O'Donnell is no longer on The View, before playing a YouTube video of O'Donnell warming up her audience by "ranting" about suspicious events she says were omitted from the 9/11 Commission Report.

Most accounts have stated that O'Donnell's departure was due to an on-air fight over Iraq with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

The Fox hosts speculate that the video might have come from an audience member's cellphone, and then comment briefly on how "people go off on this topic when Rosie talks about World Trade Center Building Number 7," before cutting to a story about a giant lizard.

The video was also posted at the Screw Loose Change blog, which characterized O'Donnell as "raving about WTC 7 being omitted from the 9-11 Commission Report," adding "like the 9-11 Commission was concerned about a building in which nobody died, which was not a direct target of the attacks."

Loose Change is an internet documentary which has received widespread press coverage over the last couple of years. Although many "9/11 truth" movement activists have criticized prior edits of the documentary, including a since-removed section which claimed video "proof" that the World Trade Center had been blown up, billionaire Mark Cuban is planning to finance a theatrical release, after its latest edit, with actor Charlie Sheen possibly providing narration.

"And anyway, the notion that the 9-11 Commission Report (PDF file) does not mention WTC 7 is wrong," Pat at "Screw Loose Change" writes, before citing four references to it, including page numbers.

However, none of these selections refer to the destruction of WTC 7, which has perplexed many scientists, government investigators and architects over the years.

Rosie won't be back on 'The View'

Rosie won't be back on 'The View'

Rosie O'Donnell has fought her last fight at `The View.' ABC said Friday she won't be back on the show following her angry confrontation with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck on Wednesday.

O'Donnell asked for, and received, an early exit from her contract. She was due to leave "The View" in mid-June.

"Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at `The View,'" show creator Barbara Walters said. "I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change."

In a statement, O'Donnell said she was grateful. "It's been an amazing year and I love all three women."

Presumably, that includes Hasselbeck. The two exchanged bitter words on Wednesday over O'Donnell's opposition to the war in Iraq. They've frequently had snippy political exchanges during O'Donnell's year on the daytime chatfest, but never as long and loud as that one.

Dear Ms. Hasselbeck... The 9/11 Conspiracy Visits The View

Written by Damian Penny

Published May 23, 2007

Thursday, May 24 will be a big day for the creators of Loose Change, the wildly successful Internet “documentary” which says the Pentagon was struck by a missile instead of a plane, the World Trade Center was brought down by a controlled demolition, and that the passengers on United Airlines Flight 93 were taken to Cleveland and then spirited away, presumably to Mars.

Korey Rowe and Dylan Avery, along with Willie Rodriguez, a 9/11 survivor who insists he saw evidence of controlled demolition, will appear on a major network daytime TV show, ABC’s The View. Rosie O’Donnell will thankfully be leaving the show in a few weeks, but as a going away present, ABC is giving her the chance to promote 9/11 conspiracy nonsense to a nationwide audience.

Rosie might not be coming back.

She just posted in her Q&A section that she might not be coming back to finish the last three weeks on her VIEW contract Wave bye bye to any hopes of a 9-11 Truth segment.

Confirmed: No "View" tomorrow

William Rodriguez has confirmed that the 9/11 View episode is not going forward tomorrow, but may be re-scheduled, and he wants people to know that he made the final call. However, he insists that bigger and better things are coming down the pipe, hence, the Sunjata post further down the page.

To hear it from the horse's mouth, check out Rodriguez's comments on the Alex Jones show earlier today (third hour).

REMINDER to watch The View May 24

UPDATE: Rumor has it the episode has been Canceled, more info to come...
Dont forget to tune in to The View on thursday, May 24!

William Rodriguez will be appearing alongside Dylan Avery and Korey Rowe.

This recent development is bittersweet; it was assumed by many that when Rosie O'Donnell said "we'll go to Harvard", that The View would invite as guests scientists or professionals such as Steven Jones, Kevin Ryan, Richard Gage, etc. However, I would still consider this a positive event given the fact that there are few and far between a member of the 9/11 Truth Movement gets a fair shake in the mainstream media.

On May 24, an average audience of 3.2 million viewers will be able to witness the testimony of 9/11 hero William Rodriguez, and talking points will be presented by the Louder Than Words crew, in addition to promoting the latest version of their film, now known as Loose Change: Final Cut.
