The Chertoff Group’s contract extension — the second in six months — was quietly approved last week without discussion at a public meeting of agency commissioners.

The firm will be paid an additional $650,000, on top of the $600,000 already approved, to advise the Port Authority on the hiring of a new security director and to help create the agency’s first-ever security department, a Port Authority spokesman said Wednesday.

"Those who subscribe to conspiracy theories may create serious risks, including risks of violence."
--Cass Sunstein and Adrian Vermeule, 2008, "Conspiracy Theories"

Attacks directed at the 9/11 Truth Movement are on the increase as the Movement grows globally, drawing ever more from technical, scientific, intelligence and military communities. While earlier criticism aimed only to insult and trivialize, more recent attacks have suggested stronger, even militant reaction.

Chertoff: Change in U.S. President May Spur Terror Plot

Oct. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Terrorists may see the change to a new U.S. president over the next six months as a prime chance to attack, no matter who wins the White House, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said.

``Any period of transition creates a greater vulnerability, meaning there's more likelihood of distraction,'' Chertoff said in an interview yesterday. ``You have to be concerned it will create an operational opportunity for terrorists.''

The risk is the same whether Democrat Barack Obama or Republican John McCain is elected president on Nov. 4, he said. That comment undercuts McCain's argument that the U.S. would be more in danger of an attack if Obama, 47, wins.

McCain, 72, has been citing remarks by Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden on Oct. 19 that ``it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy,'' should Obama win the White House.

Chertoff Should be Fired.

Michael Chertoff recently had a sit down with the Chicago Tribune Editorial Staff for over an hour... Here is the resulting article printed July 11th, 2007. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-070710chertoff,1,2055735.story?coll=chi-news-hed&ctrack=1&cset=true

What gives Chertoff the right to tell the country that he has a “gut” feeling that we’re going to be hit with a terrorist attack this summer?

“Summertime seems to be appealing to them,” he said of al-Qaeda. “We do worry that they are rebuilding their activities.”

Still, Chertoff said there are not enough indications of an imminent plot to raise the current threat levels nationwide. And he indicated that his remarks were based on “a gut feeling” formed by past seasonal patterns of terrorist attacks, recent al-Qaeda statements, and intelligence he did not disclose. There is an assessment “not of a specific threat, but of increased vulnerability,” he added.

Chertoff in Washington Post admits 9/11 truth has gone mainstream

Washington Post, Sun 4/22/07 Link to Post article

Michael Chertoff: "Since Sept. 11, a conspiracy-minded fringe has claimed that American officials plotted the destruction. But when scholars such as Zbigniew Brzezinski accuse our leaders of falsely depicting or hyping a "war on terror" to promote a "culture of fear," it's clear that historical revisionism has gone mainstream."

The rest of the article can be summarized thus:
"al-Qaeda... terror network... Osama Bin Laden ... kill Americans... islamist ideologues... al-Qaeda... al-qaeda and the Taliban... Sept. 11... Sept. 11... Islamic extremists' plot... horrific consequences... Sept. 11... al-Qaeda... al-Qaeda trained killers... "

I think this has to be seen as a measure of how far the 911truth movement has come. For the head of the department of Orwellian irony department to write this article in an attempt to shore-up the crumbling 9/11 myth shows just and how much the perpetrators fear the truth.

The tide has turned. The truth will out. It cannot be stopped.
Keep up the pressure.
