9/11: The Pentagon’s B-Movie

By Graeme MacQueen.

The events that took place in the United States on September 11, 2001 were real and they were extremely violent. As David Griffin has recently shown in detail, they also had catastrophic real-life consequences for both the United States and the world. [1]

But these events were also deeply filmic (like a film) and they were presented to us through a narrative we now know to be fictional. This “9/11 movie” reveals itself to careful investigators as scripted, directed and produced by the U.S. national security state. The movie does not represent the real world. It violates the rules operative in the real world, including the laws of physics. Audiences will remain in thrall to the spectacle and violence of the War on Terror only as long as they remain mesmerized by the B-movie of 9/11.

9/11 FORETOLD - A New Film with a Fresh Perspective

Hello everyone. Many thanks to Justin Keogh and the 911 Blogger team for graciously allowing me to introduce myself and my new film.

My name is Richard and I’m an independent researcher/investigator of 9-11 related topics. Like most of you on this site, I am searching for the truth behind September 11, 2001.

Opinions differ as to what actually transpired that day. People have their suspicions, but we may never know who perpetuated this crime, or why. However, I AM certain we were all told that 9/11 would happen long BEFORE the event; the evidence is overwhelming and available for anyone to see.

I’m the creator of a film called 9/11 FORETOLD. This film examines the messages embedded in the Mass Media leading up to that fateful day. This is the first full-length documentary to explore these topics. This film is not just another documentary about 9/11, nor is it a “conspiracy theory,” but attempts something much more provocative.

New Award-Winning Documentary Exposes Taboo, Challenges Intellectuals to Face Discomforting 9/11 Facts

Film Review: 9/11 in the Academic Community

The exciting new documentary whose upcoming release we announced in a September 8 article is now here. 9/11 in the Academic Community was released for purchase on October 8, after having won an award for “Documentary Achievement” at the University of Toronto Film Festival earlier this year. At a manageable running time of 75 minutes, with a title designed to appeal to its target audience, and by avoiding hot-button phrases such as “9/11 Truth,” the film has an excellent chance of slipping out of the conspiracy theorist jacket and making inroads into the American and Canadian intellectual communities.

This is certainly a film that needed to be made. With few exceptions, there has been a deafening silence in the classrooms of North American campuses regarding many obvious and undeniable facts that undermine the official account of 9/11. If the faculty and students at institutions of higher learning cannot question and even contradict what we have been told by media and government about the “crime of the century” without being called “conspiracy theorists,” then what has become of the academic community? Those who wrote the U.S. Constitution and defeated the British Empire’s dominion over the American colonies well understood that the spirit of free inquiry and an understanding of history were key to a properly functioning democratic republic. Even with those freedoms and values, Benjamin Franklin famously predicted that it would be difficult for us to “keep it.” Nothing less is at stake with regard to the issues covered in this film.

9/11 in the Academic Community is more watchable than most “9/11 truth” films. One of its biggest strengths is that all of its speakers express criticisms of the way that the 9/11 account was advanced and how it’s been treated in the 12 years since then – mostly without sounding angry.

Barry Levinson making film about the Oklahoma City bombing

Barry Levinson making film about the Oklahoma City bombing

by Sean O'Neal

March 3, 2011

Having just turned the courtroom drama of Dr. Jack Kevorkian into awards gold with You Don’t Know Jack, director Barry Levinson will once again mine true-life controversy with the feature film O.K.C., which follows the efforts of a young legal clerk on Timothy McVeigh’s defense team to expose a larger conspiracy behind the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. That clerk, Chad Wold, is the brother of O.K.C.’s first-time screenwriter Clay Wold, whose script is based on the true story of the months his brother spent attempting to investigate evidence that others were involved in the terrorist act, often at the risk of his own career and safety. Given that the film will likely delve into some of those oft-floated theories that McVeigh conspired with members of right-wing militias, radical Islamic groups, and even the U.S. government, O.K.C. promises to be pretty inflammatory—particularly if, as Deadline posits, it purports to reveal “the real circumstances” behind the bombing, which continues to be an obviously sore subject. It's likely to also upset Oklahoma residents unless it gets those unnecessary periods out of the title.

FILM: New World Order by See Think Films

New World Order by See Think Films

I just finished watching the See Think film New World Order on Comcast On Demand. This is a film I had never heard of before, but a quick check shows that there have been two earlier blog posts here on the film:

http://www.911blogger.com/node/19314

http://www.911blogger.com/node/19612

After seeing the film I'm quite curious to know where else it is showing on cable, how many of you have seen it and what you all think about the film.

I find it particularly interesting that a film about the 9/11 truth movement would get this kind of exposure on a giant corporate network like Comcast when films exposing the serious problems with the government's conspiracy theory are completely shut out.

Same Bat Time ...

Be sure to tune in to TMJ, channel 4 in the Milwaukee area, at 9am on Friday, January 23rd.

R. Michael Gull and Jason Williams will be guests on the show, discussing "New Day," an independent film being shot primarily in Milwaukee that involves around the 9/11 attacks and the government's potential involvement in them, a film in which yours truly will be making a cameo appearance.

Filmmakers from two European countries have turned the lens on U.S. malfeasance, shining a light on some its darker corners. Both films track a hero who struggles valiantly to bring a little justice to this world:

The United States portrays itself as the land of freedom, but the film Kill The Messenger by Mathieu Verboud and Jean-Robert Viallet casts serious doubt on that notion. The film from France documents the cold, crass efforts by the powers-that-be in the U.S. to bring down Sibel Edmonds, an American of Iranian and Turkish origin who was hired by the FBI as a translator in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001 tragedy. She spent months translating high-security clearance documents.

Kill The Messenger, the documentary about FBI translator & whistleblower Sibel Edmonds, will be screened at the DOXA film festival in Vancouver on Saturday evening.

The Vancouver Sun lists Kill The Messenger as one of their 'Best Bets' for the festival.

----

As some of you know, I've been traveling for the last few months and haven't posted anything on Sibel's case for a while - unfortunately not much has happened in the interim.

There are still tickets available for the screening of Kill The Messenger at the DOXA festival in Vancouver on Saturday night. You can get your tickets here.

You may have already seen some of my YouTubes about the film. The trailer is here. In this new 5 minute clip from Kill The Messenger, Sibel's ACLU lawyers discuss the case.

From the clip:

Ann Beeson: It’s really phenomenal to me that any court can look at her case and say: "No, it can’t go forward, proceed or win her claim."

Film Exposes the Seduction of Secrecy

By Jeff Stein, CQ National Security Editor
http://www.cqpolitics.com/wmspage.cfm?docID=hsnews-000002721511&parm1=5&cpage=1

"Eight years later came 9/11, famously labeled a failure to “connect the dots.” Eyewash. The CIA, FBI and others had dots. They hoarded them like marbles."

So, was the "failure to prevent" an intentional act to further an agenda, as well as treason and mass murder by US policy makers- or more like manslaughter, only involving "incompetence", criminal negligence, dereliction of duty and horrendous administrative and policy decisions rooted in ignorance, territoriality, ego, partisanship, spite, suspicion- or just the inevitable, "blameless" result an institutionalized culture of secrecy that "supposedly" has been changed? Instead of pursuing these questions, he continues with secrecy issues, the subject of the film being reviewed (in CQ Politics). Article has a nice summary of the bin Laden satellite phone-1998 NSA leak publication-Bush propaganda. In reference to abuse of secrecy:

"Well, that’s the problem, isn’t it? A government of men, as it were, not laws.
