Cynthia McKinney is in the news!

And this will only increase as we approach November. She's being covered everywhere right now, C-SPAN, Time, Democracy Now, etc.

I note that some creative journalists are inserting the fictional claim that she lost elections -- any election will do -- because of her statements that the Bush Administration covered up information about the 9/11 attacks. There is zero evidence for these claims, but it's likely they're trying to shut her up now by creating this obvious falsehood, a message. The hardcore left gatekeepers like Huffington Post will unite with the far right on the issue of taking down anyone who speaks out on 9/11.

If you were to be elected, what would be item number one on the McKinney agenda?

Is it OK if I do several things simultaneously [laughs]? First of all, we have to instruct the Joint Chiefs of Staff to draw up an orderly withdrawal process for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. We would also begin work immediately on a budget to submit to Congress that satisfies human needs and doesn't reflect corporate greed as the current budget does. I would also remind the members of Congress swept into office with me as the New Broom Coalition that we could initiate impeachment proceedings. Also, I would make public the papers pertaining to certain tragedies in the life of our country, like the JKF assassination, Martin Luther King Jr., and the 9/11 Truth Movement-I would release everything the Bush administration knew about September 11. One more thing I would do is begin the process of putting into place a Department of Peace. Greens Nominate Cynthia McKinney

The party has nominated a former member of Congress for the presidency, a coup for the party that itself has yet to elect a U.S. representative or senator.

The party has nominated a woman for president, no small matter in a year when Democrats have rejected an opportunity to crack the political glass ceiling.

The party has nominated an African-American for president, no small matter in a year when the Democrats have embraced Barack Obama.

And the former member of Congress, the woman and the person of color that the Green Party has nominated is a smart, articulate and outspoken public figure who – despite the fact that she has taken her hits from a media and a political class that never could get comfortable with the idea that a young black women was walking the corridors of power and making no apologies – is more than capable of standing her ground in a presidential race that so far has been longer on style than ideas.

Greens Nominate McKinney for President

The Green Party of the United States today nominated truth activist and seasoned politician Cynthia McKinney for U.S. President. In her 12 years in Congress, McKinney distinguished herself for questioning Donald Rumsfeld under oath about missing trillions at the Pentagon. She introduced articles of impeachment and asked questions about the 9/11 attacks, in 2002, when such skepticism was not tolerated from public figures.

McKinney's story includes many accomplishments as a legislator. She has been the conscience for a misguided nation. But the other half of her story is not what she has done, but what has been done to her. She took the blows of fierce reaction when the political establishment and corporate centrist media attacked her for violating the taboo that demanded silence about 9/11. In 2002, GOP strategists used a special "crossover" strategy to get their voters to vote in the Democratic primary for a fake Democrat substitute for McKinney. She came back in 2004. After introducing articles of impeachment and holding congressional hearings into 9/11, Capitol Police pretended not to recognize her, which sparked a confrontation with a frustrated McKinney. The media claimed she punched a cop. McKinney lost re-election in 2006.

Instead of media pundits blowing a bunch of hot air about Barack Obama's former pastor, there should be a real discussion and examination of who he has picked as his foreign policy advisors. These choices will have far more of an impact on our country than which church Obama attended or where he stands on the various partisan wedge issues. Among the 13 advisors selected, there are some alarming choices. Especially when you consider Obama's antiwar rhetoric on the stump.

The first advisor I will mention is former Indiana Congressman and Democrat, Tim Roemer. He was a member of the 9/11 Commission, and a representative of the war-profiteering weapons makers Boeing and Lockheed Martin, which also happen to be the world's largest defense contractors. While in office, Roemer voted for the Iraq War and said this: "The threat from Saddam is grave and growing and it's something we're going to have to address in the not-too-distant future." That statement mirrors the rhetoric of Bush and Cheney exactly. Why would a President Obama, who spoke out against the war in 2003, be interested in someone like Roemer's advice?

Dear fellow peace and 9/11 truth activists,

Long before the good Dr. David Ray Griffin and the respectable Richard Gage AIA, there were few “credible” folks who dared to challenge the official 9/11 narrative. As we all know, it’s taken almost seven painful years to get to where we are today.

We’d like to remind our fellow 9/11 truth patriots about one very credible woman who long ago stood (and still stands) by the 9/11 truth movement, and that is former Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney.

Now is the time that Cynthia needs us to stand by her. The mainstream media has not mentioned her at all, but Cynthia is running for President of the United States on the Green Party ticket.

We need you to donate your time, as a phone bank volunteer. This will cost you nothing, and you can give as little or as much time as you can. But time is not an option for us. We only have 1 week to try and raise $5000 dollars in 20 states to receive matching funds.

In this country, we have a problem. One of many. Our election process is tainted. We are forced to choose between heads or tails of the same exact coin. Because of electronic voting, it is not guaranteed that who you vote for will actually get your vote. Because the media is controlled, we never hear from candidates that do not represent the 1% of this country. Because campaign reform doesn't exist, the candidates of the 1% get as much money as they need, making it impossible for anyone to compete. Third Party candidates are not allowed to enter Presidential debates. Very simply, the process that allegedly gives the people the responsibility of choosing who is best to lead this country, does not work.

We belong to the 9/11 Truth Movement. To us, there is no issue more important than 9/11 Truth. In the coming election, there is only one candidate that represents our interests. That person is former Representative Cynthia McKinney.

Bush; and (c.) embraces and endorses a new investigation of the 9/11 attacks. Based on his trade policy, I might nickname him to be "Wrong Way McCain." That is based on his trade policy. So yes, I do have my differences with John McCain, but those are based on policy and not on denigrating his military service. His military service is one of the most honorable and heroic aspects of John McCain.
