Call for probe ignites controversy, but many still say September 11 tragedy needs investigation

UNITED NATION - (FinalCall.com) After President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke before world leaders and the international press at the 65th Session of the UN General Assembly, an uproar followed and the United States expressed outrage at his remarks.

In this episode of Visibility 9-11, John Bursill welcomes Richard Gage, AIA, back to the program.

This interview was inspired by the recent news that Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth had reached the milestone of 1,000 qualified and licensed members. Gage who is an experienced San Francisco Architect, member of the American Institute of Architects and the founder of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth describes some of the groups recent successes worldwide and talks about his recent tour of Australia, New Zealand and Japan. We hear about the upcoming Press Conference planned next month to announce the 1,000 A & E members to the world, which includes approximately 40 Structural Engineers. This person currently is Janice Matthews the Executive Director who is also a mother and has a large family to look after on her own.

Like sharks in the water, a right-wing lynch mob led by notorious race-baiter Glenn Beck is now circling around White House green jobs advisor Van Jones.

On the surface, their complaint centers around Jones' background and statements he previously made as an activist. Specifically, conservative blogs and media outlets have seized on a harshly-worded petition Jones signed in 2004 demanding further investigations into the 9/11 attacks. Jones has clarified since then, saying of the petition that "it certainly does not reflect my views, now or ever." But this is little more than the right-wing manufactured faux-outrage du jour. Beck began aggressively going after Jones in the wake of a campaign targeting Beck's advertisers -- organized by Color of Change -- an advocacy organization Jones founded prior to taking a position in the administration.

As the eighth anniversary of 9/11 approaches, what doesn't make sense to us is that media outlets choose to impugn the character of the signatories rather than carry out your responsibility as watchdogs to call attention to the as yet unanswered questions raised in the 2004 statement. Five years later, we challenge you to finally print those same unanswered questions and pursue their answers with the same vigor with which you pursue the signatories.

We as members of the 9/11 Truth community deplore all forms of hatred and violence, including the unprovoked murderous attack by James von Brunn on June 10, 2009, in the Washington Holocaust museum. We also deplore peddlers of hatred who use such events for their own purposes, such as Glenn Beck, who recently said that von Brunn, because of his attack, was now "a hero in the 9/11Truther movement," which "would like to destroy the country" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQnfJeUzzKk).

Retired Master Sgt. Robert L. Geremia’s July 13 letter was right on the money. Since Sept. 11, 2001, our country has been under attack, and not from foreign terrorists.

The entire world knows the truth about that day, except the uninformed American people. I strongly urge all citizens to view these Web sites: (www.911 truth.com and www.Loosechange.com) and get informed.

All Americans should be calling their members of Congress to demand a fair and honest investigation of that tragic day. The 9/11 Commission was a disgrace to the people of this great country.
