Discharge Form for Lauro Chavez Suggests Manipulation

Earlier this evening we posted the latest news regarding Lauro Chavez being fired. In that thread a link was posted to a forum which was arguing that parts of the document had been manipulated. Seeing as how I have been using photoshop for over 10 years I decided to look into what they had found, and even found a few odd things myself.

In posting this I am in no way trying to make any statement other than that the PDF of this discharge form has several signs of apparent manipulation. In the image linked to above I tried to show 3 clear examples where the PDF shows signs of manipulation. After looking at the PDF at full detail for a few hours tonight in photoshop I found numerous examples where characters were apparently duplicated and positioned to create new data or perhaps change existing data. The image linked to above is purely meant to illustrate where a few of the issues are, you should analyze the original PDF at maximum zoom to clearly see the things which are pointed out. This may seem like speculation to those not so familiar with image manipulation, but there are numerous places where manipulation appears to be readily obvious. I was very hesitant to even post this for fear that I might somehow be wrong, but after looking at it as closely as I did I feel there are definitely issues with this document that need to be pointed out and clarified.

I in no way want to get involved with any speculation as to if/how/why the form was manipulated, or who manipulated it, etc. I would simply encourage others who are familiar enough with photoshop and image manipulation to check out the original PDF and what is illustrated in the image download above. I will leave any further speculation and tracking down of further answers (like an original paper copy) to those who might better be able to do such. I would highly encourage others to allow this story to fully develop before casting any solid judgements. Please feel free to contact me directly if need be regarding details on my analysis.

DZ

Would love to here from you on the blog I just posted...Am I crazy, or are you with me??

Did you see that the

Did you see that the "Official" listed at the bottom of the .pdf is named "Richard Little". This is a joke, "Little Dick" has been a lame joke since elementary school. Come on.

Once you scan an image there

Once you scan an image there will be distortion of the pixels, especially if the paper bears any creases or minor imperfections.

It's possible that the issuing office used different
fonts,
as data was entered onto the form at different
times
, possibly on different computers.

As for Richard Little, it's a school-boy joke, like Malena Stool, Mike Hunt etc. But should this
coincidence lead to dismissal of the document as a fraud - NO.

Hey, look Mom, its Mark

Hey, look Mom, its Mark Bingham!!!

I was wondering this too.  Could this have been a pre-printed form that they rolled through a typewriter and filled in?  That might explain the anomolies.

However, if the alterations took place on the PDF itself, then it would be a blatant forgery.

Could this be a pre-printed form rolled through a typewriter?

Somebigguy,

If it is a pre-printed form that they rolled through a typewriter and filled in, then the original paper would already very likely show small differences in appearance of same characters. These differences are likely to stay the same or increase in their pixelwise representations after scanning, and not diminish!

So no, that would not explain the anomalies. And least it would explain the pixel-per-pixel identity of the "4WKS" strings. On the contrary, if that pre-printed form was rolled through a typewriter and filled in, it would be even more suspicious being a forgery that occurred after the scanning, especially a scanning with lots of scew.

its not the distortion of

its not the distortion of the pixels, its the duplication of the distortion/noise of the pixels.

the 'WKS' part is the most obvious in that it even includes the background hash marks from the shaded section from which it was copied..

Alex says he faxed it to him

Alex says he faxed it to him within 5 minutes of asking for it. That would suggest he probably didn't manipulate it.

Not if this is an op, if

Not if this is an op, if it's a ruse then they'd have that already. I still don't know what to make of this, it's like was this paper meant to have been recognised as fake on purpose, but not by us who they considered saps? And so it's like the whole AWOL Bush/Dan Rather/Rove style scam? Regardless, and I don't care what Alex Jones wants to run with, there is something strange about this.

No, it only means that he had already created it

It is obviously fake. It is obvious he faked it. His story has not passed the smell test from the beginning.

dz - three comments

1) the final pdf presented on AJ site was created by ghostprint.

2) the final pdf presented has been edited by painting over the SS# before final output.

3) Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0 (only version I have) WILL substitute glyphs to match previous identified glyphs during the manual OCR process, pixel for pixel.

That being said, the "1" does look suspicious not because of the pixel per pixel match of the 4WKS and 14WKS but the "1" does not fit between the space between the "/" and "4" in 14WKS.

any thoughts on BCS's

any thoughts on BCS's comments below?

I used pdftohtml to extract the embedded image from the PDF, which produced a 2550x3300 8-bit grayscale jpeg. Note that there is NO text in this PDF; it is merely a wrapper for an embedded image. There is no OCR and re-embedding of symbols going on here.

i definately want others to double check what i posted.

Yes I read BCS's post and it

Yes I read BCS's post and it is true, the version of the PDF does not have the additional TEXT embedded in this incarnation of the document. This document has been edited from the scan in two ways that are indisputable, the "1" in 14WKS and the SS# that has been airbrushed over. The document was then output again as a PDF via "GPL Ghostscript 8.15".

In the metadata :: IPTC Status :: Title = "LChavez_214.jpg"

The pixel repetition can be explained by the manual OCR process of Acrobat Pro (and I suspect other apps that perform the same task), but the "1" blocking out the forward slash and the 4 is proof of editing.

take a look at the 'WKS'

take a look at the 'WKS' part.. i think this one is the strongest example because the letters actually include the dot pattern shading from the blocks from which they were copied..

I believe the entire block

I believe the entire block (14. Military Education) was patched together.

The typeface is monospaced and yet the kerning (space between individual characters) is not consistent in that block, nor is the top of the characters aligned from word to word.

The character height of the "2" after 4WKS is too small, etc...

But nonetheless the "1" in 14WKS is indisputable and cannot be explained away as OCR processing.

thanks for throwing in your

thanks for throwing in your two cents, i dont want to get hung by others for pointing this stuff out, but it just stuck out like a sore thumb, and the counter-movement was already jumping all over it.

no problem...  Just took

no problem...

 Just took another look at the document in photoshop.  After correcting the alignment (rules set to align the outer lines of the document) and then setting horizontal rules on the lines of text, block 14 is has issues.

Great eyes btw...

a very sloppy fake

a very sloppy fake job...this has hoax written all over it

Thanks

Good work, I appreciate it.

forget it

Yes, clearly there have been some alterations.
Chavez may have good intentions (or may not), but his whole story doesn't quite ring true, as many previous posters have pointed out. He doesn't offer anything new of substance. Probably not worth spending a lot of time on him, in my opinion, although I am curious as to wtf he's trying to accomplish.

oh well......

This site has discouraged 99% of witnesses/insiders from ever coming forward. It certaintly didnt go well for Chavez, it wont for them either.

Nobody would ever believe them anyway (not even the 911 truth community), and they would be the subject of ridicule from both sides ( 911 truth, and skeptics), in addition to losing their job, and livelyhood....

...dont expect anymore "whistle blowers". There isnt an outlet for them to come forward about what they've witnessed.

Well, they should at least

Well, they should at least try not to fake their credentials first.

that's misguided. Nobody on

that's misguided. Nobody on here doubts people whose testimony rings true. This guys did not ring true, and it didn't stand the slightest sniff test. Do you see anyone doubting guys like willie Rodriguez? No. He's just telling us what he witnessed, and we believe the guy because there are a whole bunch of really good reason to and few reasons not to believe him. You don't just accept everything anyone says. Do you know how often I would have gotten laid if women did that?

"This guys did not ring

"This guys did not ring true, and it didn't stand the slightest sniff test."

I havent seen anything that proves him a fake. Most of the questions just nit pick at the smallest details about things he has said, that are unrelated to the actual claim he makes.

"Do you see anyone doubting guys like willie Rodriguez? No."

Willie Rodriguez didnt really witness anything, other than hearing explosions. But for the people who witness more clearly incriminating things (like witnessing confirmation of a standown order), its "too good to be true", and therefore will not be believed...

Dont ask, or hope for anymore people to come forward....you'll just pick them apart.

people who actually DO have

people who actually DO have info won't be afraid of a little nick picking from bloggers....come on....they'll be afraid of a hit order most likely.

Haven't seen anything? Are you kidding?

> I havent seen anything that proves him a fake

Have you bothered to seriously address any of the issues that people have brought up? Or have you willingly blinded yourself because he's telling you what you want to hear?

i personally emailed Chavez

i personally emailed Chavez yesterday to appologize for the overly critical comments that had been posted regarding his story. in no way shape or form do i want to criticize anyone coming forward, and i did my best to use neutral language in my post here.

i stand by my work, and i think once others look at it they will too. how this all plays into Chavez's credibility, etc. is not something I want to affect, but allowing an obvious forgery to pass will do nothing but come back to bite us in the ass - see: dan rather.

Why apologize to him at all?

> i personally emailed Chavez yesterday to appologize for the overly critical comments that had been posted regarding his story

Why should YOU be apologizing to HIM? HE should be apologzing to YOU for making SUCKERS out of the people on this blog.

This guy's story has more holes in it than a piece of swiss cheese used for target practice. People on this site need to stop believing every piece of crap floated by any attention-getting loser who claims to be a "combat vet", just because it feeds into your own conspiratorialist world view.

Get a clue - you are all being used. :O(

Just want to know the truth
Greetings Anonymous3;
Congradulations for seeing the truth of the damage done to LC by the muckraking "Bullie- Bloggers" through the many negative misinformed threads.Truly you are correct that this could cause the chaos of our planet future to continue. Throughout history "whistle Blowers" have been at the forefront in dismantaling facist movements and big business gone bad. These are the true patriots our world needs. Again, truly you are correct when you state what has happened to LC could prevent future witnesses/insiders from ever coming forward.We cannot let that happen.We need them.They are our future.It can happpen...ENRON ?...911truth is the good fight and someday history will prevail.There was no LONE GUNMAN,there was no 911terrorist attack on the WTC. And the agencies that are monitoring our keystrokes must of had ,and still are, having a field-day watching bloggers beat the crap out of each other with inuendo and false accusations. For example LC was told he was lying about his Top Secret/GAMMA clearance in one of the "Bullie "threads and that that type of clearance did'nt even exist. This flamers' source....an Army buddy he knew. So I did a little reasearch to see if this was true. I Googled in -top secret/gamma-and there it was right on top...top secret/gamma , just like LC said. I then sent this info to the Bullie crowd and got not one comment back....because it was the truth and they got so busted in their ignorance they went under the rocks they came from , only to rear their little sneaky heads to harp on LC's military form and chew on that for a awile...I'm sure you've seen the pixel thread. On a good note Alex Jones has stepped in on LC's behalf and Alex is very picky about who he takes under his wing and has powerful resources on his team and I am confident he will resolve this issue. Unfotunately the damage is done to LC,losing his job , harrasing phone calls etc. I hope all those bullies are satisfied and sence their distruction from the inside of our quest for the truth.
Truth9112u

And the reason they won't come forward is ______?

> This site has discouraged 99% of witnesses/insiders from ever coming forward. It certaintly didnt go well for Chavez,

Because all evidence points towards him being a LIAR and a PHONY.

(1) Guy claims combat experience in Afghanistan, but his DD214 lists NO medals/commendations/ribbons, and 0 DAYS overseas duty.
(2) Special forces training claims inconsistent with run of the mill comm operator MOS.
(3) Claims he flew into Kabul Airport three full weeks before the Taliban relinquished control to the Northern Alliance.
(4) Claims he could tell he was being "fired" at while flying in a C-5, a 700,000 monster of a cargo plane with no windows in either compartment he would be flying in (save for some small emergency exits).
(5) Claims he looked over some black ops type shoulder to look at super-secret documents that supposedly almost nobody knows about when he had no "need to know" and would therefore have no opportunity to even come close to them.
(6) Claimed that he was used to guard an oil pipeline that doesn't even exist.

There's so much BULLSHIT in this guys story that its laughable that anyone could fall for it. But then again, paranoid "true believers" of outlandish conspiracy theories will believe ANYONE AND ANYTHING, no matter HOW ludicrous, if it fits in with their personal prejudices and pre-conceived notions.

All you conspiro-kooks have been HAD, once AGAIN, because you don't know how to tell TRUTH from FICTION. Sheesh...

although I am curious as to wtf he's trying to accomplish.

In the weeks prior to 9/11/06 the hit counter at the bottom of this page began to tell a very interesting story. On a daily basis, this weblog peaked at about 30,000 hits per day. Since the "Lauro Chavez" story was introduced here by "dz" last Friday, the average daily traffic has diminished by 70% per day from its prior peak.

I've been avidly seeking out fresh information about 9/11 Truth since November, 2001. There have been few websites or periods when I've felt actively alienated from the 9/11 Truth effort. The past few days at 9/11 Blogger have been a "Night of the Living Dead" for me. And I'm one of those who have stuck it out to this point, in spite of this dreadful and disingenuous "Lauro Chavez" fraud.

As the statistics indicate, somehow this blog has managed to lose 70% of its readership in two weeks. That's a very strong indictment of the editorial leadership on display here.

It is time for "dz" to distance himself from this fraud and allow the news department here to get back to hard news and real verifiable stories. This "Lauro Chavez" distraction is damaging this website.

There are plenty of other

There are plenty of other threads for readers, if they don't want to read about Chavez, go to another thread. Numbers would be expected to decline naturally after 911. I suspect a lot of readers left this site after seeing a hero get bashed for whistleblowing, in disgust, as I will be.

People who LIE are NOT heroes...

> suspect a lot of readers left this site after seeing a hero get bashed for whistleblowing

Chavez isn't being bashed for whistleblowing. He's being bashed for LYING. Phony combat vets are nothing new, and if you're trying to establish that there's some great coverup going on, then the burden of proof is on YOU. It certainly isn't served by jumping into bed with every storyteller and malcontent coming down the pike...

chavezombie

here here!!!

I second and third this. We need a large dose of common sense. As you can see by these posts... chavez is a zombie who roams the earth diseminating disinformation and praying off the gullibility of his unsuspecting victims. He sinks his filthy fangs into the jugular vein of blogs and extracts user interest and hit counts. He has no conscience, no mercy, no virtue,and he will not stop! He will not stop until the life blood of 9/11 truth is drained and the movement has drawn its last breath. From this day forward, the name lauro chavez is anathema to the truth movement. let it never be uttered here again.

You're right, it's all about

You're right, it's all about quality and trustworthyness of a newssource. When www.waynemadsenreport.com recently picked up the "mini-nuke destroyed the WTC"-story, claiming there was radiation rather than asbestos causing the illness of responders, he lost a whole lot of credibility. People won't trust so much in his "informed sources told me"-line anymore. But ok, i for one think he's still as good a 'shoe-cleaner informant' as it gets, and mistakes are made, so ok. Now that www.infowars.com hyped the Chavez story as genuine, that's :((((( bad for them too. But ok, Alex Jones himself is still king of the mountain in terms of being a truther.

Good intentions?

> Chavez may have good intentions (or may not),

Do people with "good intentions" need to fake official documents?

> but his whole story doesn't quite ring true, as many previous posters have pointed out. He doesn't offer anything
> new of substance. Probably not worth spending a lot of time on him, in my opinion, although I am curious as to wtf he's trying to accomplish.

Looks like another phony-war-hero-turned-anti-war-protester. How many of these clowns have been outed to date so far?

this is like night of the

this is like night of the living Lauro Chavez. He just keeps coming back with his eyes roled up in his head and his hands out in fron of him. Can we please find a way to put a stake through this shills heart and move on. He's a fake in every way, and anyone smart on here has known if from the beginning. Next post will be "news break... lauro chavez takes crap, lies about how large it was." let it go.

Challenge for everybody

Get a printed document , and scan it onto your computer. Then examine the document in Photoshop, and see how many of the characters (x's, y's, z's, ect..) turn out identically pixel-per-pixel.....

.....a fair amount of them will.

Why not verify it with the Army?

It should be no problem to get some other info than a piece of paper. Like pay checks, or people testifying about it - only if Chavez wants to go all the way to prove his record, of course.
The sans-serif - serif modifying of the font is as far as i know impossible with PDF unless the font becomes recognized with OCR and is not just a bitmap. In this case, the text is not selectable, the image is rotated by an angle, so it's a plain black&white bitmap.

.. i fully understand that

..

i fully understand that taking an image and downsampling it to a 2 color index will cause pixel noise patterns which may possibly repeat, obviously i weighed that when looking at this document.

obviously you haven't looked at the 'WKS' part very closely, but probably skimmed the image i posted only. you can clearly see the hash pattern behind the W, K, and S, and the hash patterns behind these letters are a direct match to the letters from which they were copied with the dotted field shading.

the examples above, and the possibly dozen more that i didnt bother to point out (i only picked the top 3), go way beyond just pointing out 'some of the letters look alike'.

Anonymous6, what percentage is "a fair amount of them" ?

Anonymous6,

what percentage is "a fair amount of them" for you?

Everbody,

please have a look yourself. No need for extracting a picture "losslessly". No need to have expertise in Photoshop. Acrobat Reader is good enough and does an excellent job in displaying whatever format is used for embedded pictures (being a scanned document, this would be TIFF).

So just take the PDF ( http://www.v911t.org/M/LChavez_214.pdf ), load it into Acrobat Reader 7, and start:

1. Select the "Zoom In" tool and use it.

2. Locate the following form blocks with these strings, typed in with a typewriter font (I presume not with an actual typewriter, or is that likely?):

    5.  -->  "929"
    6.  -->  "00"
    7a. -->  "ENE"
    7b. -->  "ENE"
    7b. -->  "000"
    8a. -->  "MM"
    8b. -->  "LL"
    8b. -->  "33"
    9.  -->  "RR"
    9.  -->  "00"
    9.  -->  "313"
   10.  -->  "000"
   10.  -->  "00"
   11.  -->  "00"   (2 times)
   11.  -->  "ELE"
   11.  -->  "MM"
   11.  -->  "--"   (2 times)
   11.  -->  "//"   (2 times)
   11.  -->  "SYS"
   11.  -->  "ANA"
   11.  -->  "OLLO"
   13.  -->  "//"   (7 times)
   13.  -->  "OO"   (2 times)
   13.  -->  "EFE"  (2 times)
   13.  -->  "S S"
   13.  -->  "BB"
   13.  -->  "MM"
   13.  -->  "OLLO"
   14.  -->  "//"   (7 times)
   14.  -->  "EFE"
   14.  -->  "99"   (2 times)
   14.  -->  "IFI"
   14.  -->  "OLLO"

3. These strings contain identical characters close enough to each other to allow pixel by pixel comparisons. Zoom into these strings as close as possible by 'ribbon-band selecting' the area they're in. (Hint: you'll get magnifications to around 3000% up to 6000%)

4. Count, how often you find to the pixel identical representations of the characters concerned. (Hint: I found three coincidences only, in more than 50 comparisons: in block 11. with "ANA", in block 13. with "MM", and possibly in block 14., "EFE". Do you find more?).

5. Compare above results to what you find in block "14." when you look at the double cases of "1997" and "4WKS".

6. Draw your conclusions. Discuss them here, if you want.

7. Congratulations, you have proofed to yourself that you can be an independent thinker!

Now think again about these points:

1. Typewriter-typed same characters may be more likely to be different pixelwise, because they will already differ on the original paper.

2. Computer-created documents will show close-to perfect pixelwise matching of identical characters on screen only, and only if the font size is not too small.

3. A computer-created document will already show small deviations on any paper printout (more so on crappy printers).

4. A scanned and digitized paper document from point 3. will show even more deviations (especially if it is not scanned with strictly horizontal/vertical orientation, but scewed as in this case).

5. My guess is that the PDF is the result of a scan with 300 dots per inch (based on the spacing of the individual pixels)..

5. We can not assume the typewriter-typedin block content of same characters have been identically on the original paper (due to mechanical variations) and should expect quite a lot of non-identical pixelization of same characters.

6. But we can safely assume that the DD214 form itself is a computer-created document, printed on a high-quality laser printer (these forms are used in rather large quantities).

7. So do the same comparisons to equal characters which are part of the form (the ones with non-typewriter font). You'll find lots of deviations in the scanned/pixelized image of same characters.

8. Even more so should you expect a difference of 4 consecutive characters like "4WKS", no?

(To me, these identical "1997" and "4WKS" pixel patterns look highly suspicious. Plus, the obviously crammed-in "1" into "14WKS" is even hurting the left edge of the "4". If Lauro Chavez didn't create the PDF himself, but received it from the military, he should ask them why they are handing out "photoshopped" documents, which are even invalid for official purposes [see the missing block 22 signature].)

Question: how are these DD214 documents typically finalized in real military life, nowadays? Are their contents filled in on a computer with a typewriter font (I assume), or with a real typewriter (I'd rather think the U.S. military is more technologically advanced)?

Thank you GW for posting

Thank you GW for posting clarifications. I would like to add, in support of LC, that I have learned the following online. There IS such a thing as "top secret gamma" clearance as can be determined by looking at the document on the following webpage

http://www.slobodan-milisevic.org/news/house101096.htm

Other documentation on the web cites top secret gamma classification ("top secret gamma" army search on google)

To Alphonz, who expresses concern over LC's DD 214, but did not see that a request for a DD 215
had been made to fill in missing information, I like to say - You are the person who brought this story to our attention in the first place. You, more than anyone else, have a responsibility to get the facts straight
before launching an attack. The information on the 215 was right on the 214 for you to see. I found it, and I am not military. How is it you missed that, sir?

To the point how could LC not recall the name of the officer who said there was a stand down. Because,
as he himself has stated, there were 2,500 people at the base and he didn't know everyones name.

In another thread, some fool stated that the "Declination of Service DA - Form 4991-R" tells us all we need to know about LC, as though this was to his discredit somehow. Well, I checked that out as well,
and just as I had thought, surprise, surprise, again LC's story checks out. Apparently, one must initiate
action of obtaining an SRR (Service Remaining Requirement) to avoid a 4991-R. LC left the army early, so likely did not qualify for the SRR, or did not want to delay getting out of the service in order to qualify for the SRR. Individuals may CHOOSE to waver the SRR and this IN NO WAY is a discredit to their service record.

To those who wonder why LC lost his job today - it's because people on this very website got the name of the company LC worked for from a post and sent harassing letters packed with lies to his employer.
This is not a vetting process or a validation process, it's a vicious smear campaign. There's a HUGE
difference between stating "let's get this guy's info verified before we use it in our movement" and personally attacking and even sending letters out which cost him his job. This website now has the dubious distinction of being the website that attacked the first military whistleblower on the stand down order to come forward and made it less likely that others in the military would follow suit. Some has posted that his info is not important. Not important? It's personal testimony of the stand down order. It's very important. Congratulations neocon subversives. Valerie

So, now we are accusing Lauro of forging his own discharge papers. Couldn't have been a typo on the document made by the person who typed it? First, he's a fraud because he can't think up a better last name for himself. Then we don't believe he was in the military at all. Then it's that he is a fictious person and we need to check out his employment. Then he's lying about everything under the sun. After each and every single one of those things are proven to be TRUE and we learn he's been fired, we now accuse him of forgery. You people are bullies and bullies are not made in one day and you've been bullies your whole lives.

We're bullies because we're

We're bullies because we're point out his lies? How exactly does that work?

Listen, NOTHING about the guy's story matches up. He claims to have flown into Afghanistan over a month before any forces hit the ground. Obviously a lie. He claims to have spent his time there guarding a pipeline. Also a lie since no such pipeline exists EVEN TODAY, let alone 8 months after 9/11. He claims to have been a close acquaintance of General Franks. I find that hard to believe considering he was a Sgt with 6 years in. He claims to have gotten out "to go to school", yet his discharge form shows him leaving under a chapter 13, which is release due to POOR PERFORMANCE. He makes all sorts of nonsense claims about weaponry and tactics, including the idea that DU rounds are used in mortars (they're not) and that the C-13 could land in Afghanistan immediately after 9/11 (it couldn't, the runways were too short) and that the C-13 is bulletproof (it's not). In short, he makes the types of lies and mistakes I would expect from someone who's server for a few months and got booted out, or from someone whose entire time in the military consisted of refilling pop machines. He DEFINITELY does not speak or act like someone who worked with SOCOM for 6 years.

This is exactly how that works

You re bullies, and also very careless about destroying a man's reputation, because the following has already been cleared up in a post by GW on the last thread about LJ, which you cannot even be bothered to READ before maligning this man
1 He said he was DEPLOYED to Afghanistan shorly after 9/11, not that he arrived there. He has clariified this already. There were stopovers in Germany, etc before he got to Afghanistan.

2. The pipeline WAS parially built when he was in Afghanistan and he provided a LINK TO PROVE THAT.

3. He was a computer specialist who worked on Frank's computer.
WTH is suspicious about this?

4. He misremembered the the chapter he was released on. It was a C 6-13, NOT a chapter 13. This appears to be a very easy mistake for someone to make to anyone who an ounce of common sense and is not out to bully the man and REFUSE to look at the clarifications he HAS ALREADY made, on this forum.
Indeed, another military poster who wrote IN SUPPORT of him has sent us the text of a chapter 6-13 and it verifies Chavez's claim out how he got out early to resume his education. Indeed, it was this early departure that is likely the reason for missing information on the 214 - AS has ALREADY been explained - but why bother yourself with those details when you are having so much fun ripping the man apart.

5. regarding the runways - not having been there, I do not know their length. I don't you do either, based on your misinformation
thus far. By the time he arrived weeks later, undoubtly the runways had been worked on in order to get troops in there.

As far as this pixel nonsense - there is NO doubt in my mind that we will learn the document was authentic, because so far, EVERY SINGLE attack against this man has been disproven. Go back to the last thread, last post on this subject to just some of the clarifications. If you are going to attack a man like this, you owe him the courtesy of reading the rebuttals - ah, but that's not your game, is it?

"1 There were stopovers in

"1 There were stopovers in Germany, etc before he got to Afghanistan."

2-3 months of stopovers? Highly unlikely.

"2. The pipeline WAS parially built when he was in Afghanistan and he provided a LINK TO PROVE THAT."

Nonsense. I haven't seen any such link but I can tell you that neither I nor any of my buddies have seen any pipelines in Afghanistan. But hey, why trust people who have been on the ground; use google earth if you really want, I guarantee you won't find any pipeline.

"3. He was a computer specialist who worked on Frank's computer. WTH is suspicious about this?"

Generals don't bring "computer specialists" home to fix their computers. Or, if you want to look at it another way, computer specialists don't guard pipelines. They don't guard anything except from guarding their servers from hackers.

"4. He misremembered the the chapter he was released on. It was a C 6-13, NOT a chapter 13. This appears to be a very easy mistake for someone to make to anyone who an ounce of common sense and is not out to bully the man and REFUSE to look at the clarifications he HAS ALREADY made, on this forum."

That seems rather convenient, but alright, I'll buy that.

"Indeed, it was this early departure that is likely the reason for missing information on the 214 - AS has ALREADY been explained - but why bother yourself with those details when you are having so much fun ripping the man apart."

Because it's a load of nonsense. Medals will often be awarded IN THEATER, and even if not they would definitely be awarded upon his return. It's not something that he'd have to request, it's automatic. You serve the required amount of time, you get the medal. Just like you don't have to request to get paid every pay period, it happens automatically. Plus the fact that he served overseas would have been mentioned in his 214, regardless of whether he received a medal or not. It's also automatic and is VERY important because that's how the military keeps track of benefits. With the current release form he'd be screwed if he ever went to try and make a claim for a disability he got overseas because according to the military documentation he never SERVED overseas.

"5. regarding the runways - not having been there, I do not know their length. I don't you do either, based on your misinformation
thus far. By the time he arrived weeks later, undoubtly the runways had been worked on in order to get troops in there."

It took several months to get them up to standard. Even if we assume that he arrived after they were re-done, then it belies his claim that they were landing under fire. Either way that part of his story makes no sense no matter how you look at it. It's obvious that he's lying, but hey, if he wants to clear it up all he has to do is post the exact date of his arrival in country and I can easily verify exactly what the conditions in the area were at the time. I somehow doubt that any such information will be forthcoming because he knows that as soon as he starts listing specifics, any number of serving military personnel will tear his story to shreds.

"As far as this pixel nonsense - there is NO doubt in my mind that we will learn the document was authentic, because so far, EVERY SINGLE attack against this man has been disproven."

No, none of it's been disproven. I've yet to see anyone show me a mortar round made of DU. I've yet to see anyone show me a bulletproof C-13. He STILL hasn't given specifics about his arrival in country, and he certainly made it sound as if he arrived within weeks of 9/11. AND there has still been no evidence of any pipelines in Afghanistan. Plus nobody seems to be able to explain just what exactly a computer specialist is doing with a rile, guarding pipelines, instead of hanging out with his good buddy General Franks. Add to that the fact that this guy speaks and conducts himself like a civvie, and it makes his whole story seem almost as badly planned as that numbskull Jessie Macbeth. Remember him? Same goddamn thing.

"ah, but that's not your game, is it?"

I'm not playing games. This clown is pretending to be something he's not, and a good portion of the military would love to beat some sense into him right about now.

This is second-hand (not my

This is second-hand (not my interview), but from someone I know and trust. Judge for yourself the adequacy of Lauro Chavez's answers.

1. Why does his DD-214 list no foreign service, despite his claim to an 8 month tour in Afghanistan?

Answer: I got out 3 weeks after my return home from Afghanistan. I got out of the army using the Chapter 6-13 (early drop for higher education) which I misquoted as a chapter 13 – my fault. By doing this, I pretty much waved my service ribbons and awards. I did not care about that stuff at the time, I just wanted to get out.

2. Why does his DD-214 omit many ribbons that he should have automatically (not merit based requiring his commander to submit them) based on his service, including 1 NDSM, an NCO Professional Development ribbon, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and a NATO medal?

Answer: Again, same thing – by ducking out early, I gave up this stuff.

3. Why does his DD-214 list a 14 week Special Forces Q course, despite the fact that the course is considerably longer, and makes no mention of SFAS or Airborne training, both prerequisites, and does not list a Special Forces MOS?

Answer: This was done when I originally joined the Army. I went to basic training and then to the qualification course. It has since changed, but at the time, after the qual course, you then picked either air borne or air assault. I got hurt in the 2nd week of AB school. However, because the SFQC was "official" training, they had to list it on my 214.

4. Why, even though he claims expertise with explosives does he claim that thermite, an incendiary, is an explosive and a component of C-4?

Answer: I have to watch what I type I guess. I've used C4 in its Claymore Mine form. It does leave a funny smell behind. I was ranting in my letter and I never claimed to be an expert. Sorry.

5. Why does he suggest that Afghan soldiers could not have flown the hijacked planes, despite the fact that nobody has ever claimed they did?

Answer: This is just ridiculous, but I said that because Osama was in Afghanistan, and people were led to believe the TaliBan was from there. Look, I was just saying that the Afgans I saw looked like scrawny little guys with very little intelligence. So, I didn't believe they could fly planes.

6. Why does he claim to have spoken with a "good buddy" Lieutenent General, who was a former commander of the Army Corp of Engineers at CENTCOM in 2001, when the only 3 star assigned to CENTCOM at that time was Lieutenent General Michael P. DeLong, a Marine?

Answer: Wow, that was the deputy commanders name, DeLong. He was a pretty cool guy, looked like a bulldog ;o). Again, my good friend was a liaison there attached, therefore he probably would not be on any formal roster listing. This is detail I never went into because I did not think it mattered.

6. Why does he claim he flew in an uparmored C5 into Kabul on September 25th (or September 26th his story changes) 2001, when Kabul was securely in Taliban hands until it was liberated by the Northern Alliance on November 13th, 2001?

Answer: Again, I said I Deployed to Afghanistan. I did not mean that to be interpreted that I was going straight there. We hung out in Germany, Turkey, and Kazakhstan prior to coming into Kabul. And the Northern Alliance was aided by Special Ops – I know because I provided the secure comms back to the base for them.

http://www.csmonitor.com/2001/1114/p1s1-wosc.html

7. Why does he claim to have pulled "roving guard" on an oil pipeline in 2001-2002, despite the fact that this pipeline is still in the planning stages 5 years later?

Answer: I did guard pieces of the pipeline: I never said it was completed, but if you believe its not there, then buy a plane ticket.

http://www.ens-newswire.com/ens/apr2006/2006-04-17-05.asp

8. Why does he repeatedly claim that he received a Chapter 13 separation discharge to enter school, when a Chapter 13 is a discharge for "unsatisfactory performance"?

Answer: I cleared this up earlier. This was due to my aging mind ;o)

http://www.usapa.army.mil/pdffiles/r635_200.pdf

9. What type of shoulder fired weapon causes could cause the type of damage seen at the Pentagon, as he mentioned in a radio interview this morning?

Answer: if you read, about the shoulder fired bunker buster you'll see the just recently "in public" stated it was fitted for infantry troops. It's a shoulder fired rocket, much like the AT4 – fire and forget. ….look it up.

10. Why does he repeatedly claim that Dick Cheney was appointed head of NORAD in 2001, when the commander of NORAD at that time was actually Air Force General Ralph Eberhart?

Answer: We were given a new Chain of Command chart like an org chart, showing the change…it was probably not made public till later.

Let me know what else you have for me

"1.I got out 3 weeks after my return home from Afghanistan. I got out of the army using the Chapter 6-13 (early drop for higher education) which I misquoted as a chapter 13 – my fault. By doing this, I pretty much waved my service ribbons and awards. I did not care about that stuff at the time, I just wanted to get out."

Once again, this is bullshit. The medals would have been awarded automaticaly. And if it just so happened that he was the only guy ever to have to request his medals, his time overseas would have been indicated anyway on his release form. See the spot where it says "f. Foreign Service:"? Folllowed by "0000 00 00"? Yeah, there wouldn't be zeroes there, it would list the number of years, months, and days spent overseas.

"2. Again, same thing – by ducking out early, I gave up this stuff."

And once again, that's a bullshit answer. Ask any other serving member. "Sgt" Chavez isn't the only soldier out there you know.

"4. I have to watch what I type I guess. I've used C4 in its Claymore Mine form. It does leave a funny smell behind. I was ranting in my letter and I never claimed to be an expert. Sorry."

Anyone who's ever used a claymore knows that it doesn't contain thermite. Brand new soldiers that I trained who now have 6 months in the military can tell you exactly what it's composed of, and how it operates. For someone who claims to have 6 years in working with the special forces to make that kind of mistake is unthinkable. It'd be like your mechanic trying to tell you he just replaced the flux capacitor on your Buic.

"5. Answer: This is just ridiculous, but I said that because Osama was in Afghanistan, and people were led to believe the TaliBan was from there. Look, I was just saying that the Afgans I saw looked like scrawny little guys with very little intelligence. So, I didn't believe they could fly planes."

So he makes even more mistakes in this answer. First off, the Taliban IS from Afghanistan. The hijackers weren't Taliban. For him to be unaware of this is just silly. As is him not knowing that the hijackers weren't Afghani at all.

"6. Again, I said I Deployed to Afghanistan. I did not mean that to be interpreted that I was going straight there. We hung out in Germany, Turkey, and Kazakhstan prior to coming into Kabul. And the Northern Alliance was aided by Special Ops – I know because I provided the secure comms back to the base for them."

Uhuh, now answer the question about the plane being armored. Also, it might help if you explained how long exactly you "hung out" in Germany, Turkey, Kazakhstan, etc.

"7. I did guard pieces of the pipeline: I never said it was completed, but if you believe its not there, then buy a plane ticket."

Once again, bullshit. And the article it links to is dated 2006. In other words, in 2006 there was an article saying that construction for the pipeline might start 2 years later. That'd be 2008. So what the hell was he doing guarding pieces of pipeline in 2001?

"9. if you read, about the shoulder fired bunker buster you'll see the just recently "in public" stated it was fitted for infantry troops. It's a shoulder fired rocket, much like the AT4 – fire and forget. ….look it up."

And anyone who's ever used a shoulder launched missile will laugh at you if you suggest that the damage at the pentagon could have been caused by one of those. Hell, even a cruise missile couldn't cause that much damage, let alone a man-portable missile. This is the result of too much holywood. The basic anti-tank missile creates a hole about the size of a dime. It's rather dissapointing the first time you fire it. A "bunker buster" missile would work on the same principle, and create as small a hole as possible in order to put the force of the explosion where it counts: INSIDE the target. Blowing giant holes in the wall is rather pointless.

"10. We were given a new Chain of Command chart like an org chart, showing the change…it was probably not made public till later."

Idiot. Chaney is STILL not head of NORAD. NORAD is currently headed by Adm. Timothy J. Keating. No civilian has ever commanded NORAD.

Lauro Chavez, you are a LIAR!

BULLSHIT! ANY overseas service would have been indicated on your DD214. and you don't "wave" your ribbons and awards. They appear in your records as soon as your unit personnel office receives orders authorizing them - you don't do ANYTHING to apply for OR waive them!

> 3. Why does his DD-214 list a 14 week Special Forces Q course, despite the fact that the course is considerably longer,

MORE BULLSHIT! Any courses or training you passed (ESPECIALLY prerequisites) would be on your DD214. You're lying AGAIN!

> Answer: Again, I said I Deployed to Afghanistan. I did not mean that to be interpreted that I was going straight there. We hung out in Germany, Turkey, and Kazakhstan prior to coming into Kabul.

You're bullshitting about ever being on a C-5 going ANYWHERE! C-5s are NOT used for tactical deployments, nor would you be "hanging" out in all those various places unless your unit was specifically ordered there. You're claim about "coming under fire" is a frigging joke. For starters, the C-5 requires so much support that it's not practical for forward operating areas. In addition, your assertion that you could tell you were coming "under fire" is a joke. The C-5 has a max GW of 700,000-800,000 lbs depending on model (A, B) and passengers don't have windows to look out of. With all the noise in that plane (you have to wear earplugs INSIDE the cargo compartment), you wouldn't have been able to feel or hear anything unless it blew you out of the sky.

SGT Lauro Chavez (or whatever your real name is), you're a pathetic LIAR - consider yourself OUTED and DISGRACED! Comprende?

Do these people know ANYTHING about how the military works?

> >"1 There were stopovers in Germany, etc before he got to Afghanistan."
> 2-3 months of stopovers? Highly unlikely.

Bingo - ROTFL! These clueless bimbettes really think that the military lets people take leisurely itineraries on the way to their next duty assignments without some form of leave involved? I can see an overnight at Rhein-Main if they are staying on the same A/C and the crew needs to go into crew rest, but it's just as likely that any large-scale deployment will have a "stage" set up where a frest crew picks up the plane and keeps going. I flew on C-141s out of Norton for 4-5 years and that's the way it worked both on scheduled runs "across the pond" as well as any major exercises, and Afghanistan would have certainly fallen into that category.

I won't even bother with the rest of the stuff - you pretty much nailed it. Keep up the good work... :O)>

DD215

The remark about the DD215 is a boilerplate which is included in Block 18. And it's proof that SGT Chavez altered his DD214. "DD215 will be issued to provide missing information" is inserted into the remarks block when information for another block is either unavailable or unknown. In that case "SEE REMARKS" will be added to the appropriate block. No where in SGT Chavez's DD214 does "SEE REMARKS" appear. It's likely it was in Blocks 13 or 14, and when he did his crude photoshopping he copied over it.

Now, just because the "DD215" remark appears does not mean a DD215 actually was issued. It means that if any information on his DD214 was incorrect then a DD215 will be issued with the corrected information. There was something in Chavez's Blocks 13 or 14 that he disputed, but couldn't be resolved. Maybe an award or some training was missing, however the orders for the award or training couldn't be found prior to his discharge. The clerk at the processing station added "dd215 will be issued to provide missing information" as a result. This is done because NO alterations are allowed to a DD214. You can't make pen and ink changes to a DD214 so a DD215 is issued to correct mistakes.

So, I'd be curious what SGT Chavez's DD215, if one was issued, says. Hell, I'd be interested in simply seeing his unaltered DD214. But I'm not holding out much hope he'll show those.

WOW. You got some hawk-eyes

WOW. You got some hawk-eyes :)
One question about the fonts: Is the "Y" the only letter thats different in Serif and Sans Serif Fonts ? Just asking because the "S" and "R" letters seem to be the same.
If they ARE different as well what sense would it make to only manipulate the Y in "System" ?

Is It A Slow 9/11 News Week?

Why so much attention given to this? I'm not saying it's like the fake "global hawk" witness(Flight 77 hit the pentagon, not a fake plane) but even if LC was really at Centcom that morning...what's new about what he had to say? Now IF Mineta came forward, or more SOCOM/Pentagon guys like Philpott/Schaefer, or more FBI folks, etc that'd be big...but on the other hand it's good to see the 9/11 activists scrutinize.

The idiots who call us "9/11 Deniers", "twoofers", etc can't even begin to attack rescue workers coming forward, FBI/CIA whistleblowers, Pentagon who have come forward, 9/11 surivors and family members...but they certainly can poke holes in these sort of wishy washy type of situations.

Why so much attention given to this? Need a hint?

> Why so much attention given to this?

You ask why? Because those of us who actually SERVED WITH PRIDE, and know SOMETHING about the military, really get PISSED OFF when obvious FRAUDS like this pendejo Lauro Chavez spread classic B-movie dime-store secret-agent BULLSHIT that anyone with even the most RUDIMENTARY ability to research could have disproved in little time at all. Unfortunately, there are a bunch of wack-doodles who are TRUE BELIEVERS and willing to believe any crap, no matter how LAUGHABLE and RIDICULOUS it is, merely because it fits your particular agenda - whether it be anti-Bush, anti-military, anti-Jewish, whatever.

You know, there are plenty of people I disagree with, but at least I can dialogue with thme, because at least they TRY to deal in the realm of reason. 9/11 inquisition

The way many people in the 9/11 truth movement are dealing with Chavez, to me really resembles the way most immigration officials are usually "dealing with" refugees.
I think it's sick.
Just give the guy a chance amd time to really tell his story and provide us with further details and documents along the way.
Don't let the usual 9/11 truth negative attitude towards everything and everyone fuck this up.

i assure you i have no

i assure you i have no negative attitude that made me want to post this. i said above that i actually emailed Chavez to appologize for the treatment he had received in the comments here. i am by no means trying to scare off someone who could definately help our cause.

but, when something like this is already being propogated in the counter-movement, and it is verifiable, it has to be pointed out so that we don't get it thrown back in our faces for being fake.

yes!

I'm with you on that. People have been rushing to judgement - maybe because many people selfishly want to be the one to spot the alleged fraud - rather than taking their time, and giving Chavez the time, to substantiate things. Taking a little time with this can't hurt, and it won't turn off potential whisteblowers. Let's look it over, ask him for more evidence of his background and, above all, he absolutely must set down his story in a sworn affidavit. That's the absolutely key threshold.

his story is lacking the

his story is lacking the same magic thing that the official story is: probability! It can all be explained away, that WTC7 "somehow" was in a unique, never experienced before situation so that it actually collapsed totally from asymmetric, partial damage. And in the same way Chavez could "somehow" have personally witnessed all of the smoking guns of 9/11, even those as far away as the Pentagon, through some friends there, and even the aftermath of the hunt for OBL.
But all of this is just highly improbable, while a hoax, a made up story is probable. This doesn't mean it isn't true, but it means that proof is necessary to convince common sense people. The govt. has failed to prove it, and Chavez so far, too.

Sadly we might have to put LJ Chavez into the category where Tim McNiven resides: suspicious military whistleblowers.

Good catch dz, here's more.

I have so far refrained from commenting publicly on LJ Chavez. When I read his letter/rant it did seem a little too good to be true. For anyone who's read Crossing the Rubicon, I think you know what I mean. But I have withheld judgement until now, wondering if maybe Mike Ruppert's analysis is just that damn good?! But with this what appears to be obvious doctoring, well... anyway I'll just share what I've found:

I used pdftohtml to extract the embedded image from the PDF, which produced a 2550x3300 8-bit grayscale jpeg. Note that there is NO text in this PDF; it is merely a wrapper for an embedded image. There is no OCR and re-embedding of symbols going on here.

At first glance it appears to be black and white but there are indeed pixels with intensities other than solid black and white. The most obvious is in the upper right corner where the SSN is redacted. But the rest of the apparently black and white pixels are sprinkled with slightly-off black and white pixels among solid black and white pixels.

Here's a sample:

(click for larger version)

I took the 4WKS and 14WKS pieces that dz pointed out and did an arithmetic difference of the two. That produced the third row in the above image. Black indicates identical pixels (no difference in intensity) and white indicates two corresponding pixels are inverted (one black, one white, difference of 255). This shows that the two snippets appear to be identical except for the pasting of a 1 over part of the slash and the 4.

But it's not quite that simple. The fourth row shows the difference map after applying a histogram equalization, which shows that the large swath of black pixels indicating no difference are actually slightly different for the most part although the solid gray bands indicate that some of the white background is actually solid white.

Upon further inspection I think these mostly but not quite black and white pixels are an artifact of the jpeg compression since they seem to be confined to the areas around text or lines and not large areas of white background, which can be seen in this snippet after applying histogram equalization to the entire image.

marquee tool was to paste a "1" just before the "4"

In crude terms, it seems that someone has used the rectangular marquee tool to paste a "1" just before the "4".

Unfortunately (for the forger), there was not enough room to fit it in, so part of the slash got obliterated too. The result is you can see a square white outline around the "1".

Faulty Analysis

BCS, I just have to point out that your analysis is pretty ignorant, in that it uses faulty methodologies.

One does not use lossy JPEG to conduct such analysis, one uses lossless PNG, BMP, or TIFF. Using a lossy format will produce an inexact copy.

Second, if one wants to extract the image from the PDF, then click on the small button right next to the right side of the button in the Adobe Reader that says "Select Text", then click on "Select Image", then click on the page. Right-click and select "Copy Image to Clipboard". Now paste the image into an image editor and save it in a lossless format.

____________

Check it, James.

Why would you assume I'm just ignorant about such things and using "faulty methodologies" without verifying it for yourself?

The image embedded in the PDF is (or was) in a lossy format. I didn't add that little wrinkle. If you don't believe me, take a snapshot from Acrobat the way you describe and do a histogram equalization on it (or just look at the intensity levels of the pixels) and you will see that the artifacts are there in the PDF itself.

You're Right

I used pdftohtml to extract out the JPEG image myself, but it doesn't produce the same results as the image copied from Adobe Reader.

The JPEG image from pdftohtml results in 256 colors in 8-bit greyscale, whereas the image copied from Adobe Reader produced 243 colors in 8-bit greyscale. They both result in a 2550 x 3300 pixels image.

So one or both of these methods must be producing non-exact results.

I believe all the Adobe Reader does is copy an exact pixel-for-pixel image to the clipboard. If so, then this would be exact.

pdftohtml might be resaving in JPEG format, which would produce a non-exact copy, even if the original was in JPEG.

Just to Clarify

Just to clarify, the "You're Right" in my above title refers to the fact that pdftohtml produces a JPEG image. But I wasn't implying that I think that it produces and pixel-for-pixel exact image copy.

The JPEG file produced by pdftohtml is indeed 3201944 bytes. This suggests that it is an exact file copy, although it's possible for it to still be inexact and have the same byte-count.

Below is some of the PDF footer information:

I wonder who Ryan refers to?

I Apologize to You, BCS

BCS, I apologize to you for calling your analysis ignorant, as I didn't realize that the JPEG image that pdftohtml is producing from the PDF file is an exact bit-identical copy of the JPEG image contained in the PDF.

One can varify that it is bit-identical by opening up the PDF file in a text editor and cutting off everything that comes before "ÿØÿî" at the beginning and everything that follows "¢Š+ÿÙ" at the end.

Apology accepted

I didn't go so far as to check the MD5 checksums initially because pdf2html spit out the JPEG far too quickly for it to have done any processing on an image that large. I assumed it was identical to what's in the PDF with maybe a few bytes of JPEG wrapper added to it. But they are, as you state, identical. I couldn't strip out the bitstream with a text editor (I'm surprised you were able to... what editor did you use?) but I did verify it with the following command:

head -c 3202634 LChavez_214.pdf | tail -c 3201944 | md5sum

It produces the same checksum as the JPEG file.

Cheers.

Text Editor

I use EditPad Pro ( http://www.editpadpro.com ) as my text editor. They have a free version that has a number of fewer features (such as lacking a hexadecimal editor), but I believe it should work just fine in editing binary files in normal text mode.

The Document Was Manipulated

Having looked at the image in the LChavez_214.pdf by extracting the image with the Adobe Reader "Select Image" option, and then saving that image in lossless PNG format, I agree that parts of it the lettering were definitely, without doubt, manipulated in a computer image editor.

A number of the letters in the "14. MILITARY EDUCATION" section were copy-and-pasted from the dot-hatch-pattern sections, particularly from the "18. REMARKS" section. For example, the W in the "WKS" found in the "14. MILITARY EDUCATION" comes from the W in "DOD OR WITH ..." the "18. REMARKS" section, and the S in "WKS" comes from the S in "HEREIN SUBJECT TO ..." in the "18. REMARKS" section.

This is a job that was intentionally done to be later exposed as a manipulated document.

What is not in doubt is that Lauro Jones Chavez did indeed serve in the U.S. military. Based upon this manipulated document, this case is starting to look like the case of Jesse Adam Macbeth (born Jesse Adam Al-Zaid), of who also did in reality serve in the U.S. military. Jesse Macbeth's story was a classic case of a U.S. government co-intel/disinformation agent, i.e., putting out false information that is intentionally designed to be later discredited in order so that government propaganda agents and sycophants can accuse the government's opponents as being dishonest, when in reality the entire event was intentionally staged by the government.

Jesse Macbeth was "sheep-dipped" by the U.S. government, i.e., a wolf in sheep's clothing who's true relationship (i.e., one of good standing) with the U.S. government is kept secret and who was doing the U.S. government's bidding all along.

At this point, based upon this obviously manipulated document--and manipulated in such an unambiguous way that it could be clearly proven to be manipulated--Lauro Jones Chavez appears to be a "sheep-dipped" U.S. co-intel/disinformation agent being used to try to bring discredit to the 9/11 Truth movement.

The only thing that could explain this manipulation away such that Lauro Jones Chavez would be an innocent party would be if this is the manner in which he received the document from the U.S. military, i.e., already manipulated. But then it would be quite surprising to see these manipulated letters of a scanned-in document match up so exactingly. In other words, the manipulation appears to have been done after the document was already scanned-in and digitized. Did Lauro Jones Chavez receive this document as a fax or in an email from the U.S. government? Although that doesn't seem very likely.

Excuse Me

Excuse me, the above should read "parts of the lettering" instead of "parts of it the lettering," and "whose true relationship" instead of "who's true relationship."

this might be a lot of

this might be a lot of second guessing, but i guess you're scenario is possible. The plan was to put him onto the TV shows that had previously covered 9/11 truth people, to have him presented as the "most dangerous witness" for the neocons. And then THEY, not us, expose the forgery, and we've lost all our credibility. - Glad this didn't happen. 9/11 truth has passed the test, and the neocons have lost, for today.

What plan, and by who???

> The plan was to put him onto the TV shows that had previously covered 9/11 truth people,
> to have him presented as the "most dangerous witness" for the neocons.

So you think there's some Grand Cabal that planned this, huh?

How about a suggestion, Junior? Try something different for a change... Instead of jumping to the most wild, harebrained interpretation you can come to in your paranoid little mind, why not try the most PLAUSIBLE explanation FIRST? Like realizing that the guy is a loser trying to get attention for himself, and he's pegged the people on this site as a bunch of gullible suckers?

See, isn't that MUCH better? :O)

How sad for him.

He must have misunderestimated us, because he was immediately trounced and shredded here,and rather rudely, by pretty much everyone except a flock of unregistered users who appeared in his wake.

so like yea knaow

so like yea knaow, why is alex jones like yea knaow, still having this shill like yea knaow, on his show, you know?

Seven of One - Half Dozen of Another

I sit here thinking what the psy ops people would say about Lauro Chavez on this board if he was the real deal. I think what the psy ops people would say if he were a know to them fake. I'll bet you can determine if Lauro is the real deal by what the psy ops, trolls and shills are saying about him.

Congrats government shills!

Congrats governemnt shills! You've won this round of the Chavez story by flooding this site with nitpicky, distorted and misleading points. How easy is that, given the hugh black budget that supports you, and the fact that you can post annonymously or simply with an email address? This is made easier for you by many truth seekers here who are so fearful of and obsessed with misinformation, that they can't see any else. It's understandable why you would take this course. An insider who claims he heard a stand down order? That HAS to be shot down, and to your credit, you were on it like white on rice. Just be aware--nobody in this world "gets away" with anything. That concept is an illusion. When your day comes and you meet your Maker, you will be held accountable, down to your last thought.

Seems like a fishing expedition......

Why is everyone jumping so quickly to discredit his story?

Maybe Chavez has some uncomfortable facts that the Zionists don't want told.

http://www.iamthewitness.com

I believe that's the case.

There seems to be a pre-ponderance of "experts" latching on to this guy to either disprove/prove him and they all seem to fall in the Zionist catergory.....

That's just plain obvious. CRIMINALS cover up crimes very well.

I won't take a side but I will say:

Its time for CHAVEZ to come out and tell his WHOLE story, and for the 911 truth movement to get back to Dr. Stephen Jones

CHAVEZ can prove his *OWN* claims on his own and tell his story and that will decide how far the story goes, so that other whistleblowers can come out of hiding and do the same thing.

There should be nothing to "fear" from real truth-seekers, so Mr. Chavez come out and tell every part of your story. Lets get it all out on the table and put it in the open.

Why are we discrediting his story? You really want to know?

> Why is everyone jumping so quickly to discredit his story?

Ever consider that some of us have been in the Armed Forces ourselves, know how they work, and recognize patent BULLSHIT when we see/hear/read it?

Have you ever spent a DAY in the military? I spent 6 years in the Air Force, both on active duty and reserves, and have over 2500 hours flying time as a crewmember on C-141B's. I don't make ANY claims about expertise with Special Forces types (except some of them used to jump out of the back of our airplanes), but I do know SOMETHING about how military transports are deployed, and I can tell you this much: the Air Force doesn't send C-5's in to land on fields controlled by enemy forces, nor can some ground-pounder sitting in a windowless box inside a 350-ton jumbo transport tell if he is coming under small arms fire. I also know that people who are stationed overseas have such duty reflected on their DD214's, as well as any medals or commendations awarded for being in a particular theatre of applications. And NO, unlike the crap you heard about John Kerry, you don't "put in" for medals unless you're a shameless gedunk collector. They are "awarded" to you, and appear in your records as soon as the personnel folks receive copies of the orders authorizing the awards. The bit about being able to look over somebody's shoulder and read "top secret" orders is laughable, since anyone who has handled classified documents (Sandy Berger possibly excepted) knows that there's a particular protocol for handling classified info. This stuff isn't handed out like the base newspaper so that others can read it: it's made available under controlled conditions on a "need to know" basis...

Chavez has already blown his wad and exposed himself as a liar and a fraud. I'm sorry that you're way too ignorant to realize that, but better that other people know so they don't get sucked into the same crap.

So every time someone's

So every time someone's conspiracy claims are cast in doubt you guys are just going to claim he was really a government plant, sent to intentionally spread disinformation.

Basically you leave yourselves no rational means of evaluating any of your claims. That is irrational. You are irrational.

That's why you see a conspiracy in 9/11. You're not thinking straight. You're angry. Vulnerable. Your leaders - the Dylans, Joneses, etc. - are taking you for a ride. They're using your confusion to get their names in the newspapers.

Come back to reality, please.

Lauro on Alex Jones

I am fast losing respect for Alex Jones. Yesterday Sept 28th, he has Lauro on, talks about his termination. AJ's interviews are mostly him on self indulgent rants. AJ makes obvious references to 9/11 blogger without actually mentioning it, attacking the vetting being done, straw man style, presents his critique for the case for forgery by simply not mentioning it. I noticed that he is now avoiding saying Veterans for 9/11 Truth, crediting Rense with the story. He says he has verified authenticity of the DD 214, yet never mentions the fact that the DD 214 lacks mention of deployment in Afghanistan, and other anomalies mentioned here. He is just not being honest. Three times he mentions the 0400 AM oddity, attacking the weakest criticisms offered here, while avoiding the strongest arguments, just like the 9/11 debunkers tend to do. BTW AJ doesn’t understand what a straw man argument is.

The truth is Lauro’s story is single source, with no proof, and his credentials and his story needed to be flawless, and as of now they are not.

“We landed under fire at Kabul airport, 2 weeks after 9/11?” (paraphrase) Such statements that are false on face, are of real concern to me. Then the DD 214 lacking mention of Afghanistan deployment is very disconcerting. Most people who know the truth don’t misspeak about it. Lauro’s lack of remembering key names is a real concern as well. If someone claimed that the reason scrambles are not taking place was because NORAD was stood down, I would never forget his name.

Lauro’s, and AJ’s inability, and apparent lack of effort to somehow identify this person is amazing to me. I want to know what AJ is doing to find out who this NORAD Stood Down guy is. If we would want to indict, or question someone, what name would we put on the subpoena? We need to name names.

Alfons v911t

Sept 28th interview

Is that show recorded? I would be interested in listening to it.

i found this last post from

one of lauro's coworkers posted this just a bit ago..

you can find AJ's show archived at nw0.info, hope that helps.

Mount an attack on Lauro's former employer?

If Lauro was fired for his 9/11 Truth statements, then the 9/11 Truth movement should mount an attack on his former employer, these fascist need to know there is a downside to controlling speech by firing people. Discuss.

Alfons v911t

you threatening someone?

> If Lauro was fired for his 9/11 Truth statements

Given that Lauro is a liar, he probably also lied to his employer when he was hired. In case you never had a job before, lying on an application is perfectly legitimate grounds for termination.

Second point: the practice of free speech by an individual does NOT come with a commensurate obligation for others to provide a forum. His employer is under no legal obligation to provide him a platform to spout off regarding his political views at work.

Last but not least. it sounds like you're threatening someone because you don't like what they did, which is wrong on a number of levels - and you have the gall to call someone ELSE "fascist"?

BTW Alfons

Your paraphase of Chavez is misleading. Looking at the quote from AJ's show--he said he was deployed two weeks after 911, then he said some other stuff about SOCOM, then said we landed in Kabul under fire. You put that all together into "we landed under fire in Kabul two weeks after 911". Then you claim this as a false statement, but it was not his statement! He clarified the time lag in his latter post--he said went to Germany, Turkey and Kazakstan before going to Kabal. It seems like you have it your mind that this guy is fake, and you are interpreting his words as misleading, no matter what he actually says. If you really believe he's fake, why not just take his letter off your site and fuggettaboutitt !

When was the PDF manipulated?

The unanswered question is if the manipulation was done before or after the PDF was sent in to Alex Jones?

Void by its Own Terms

At the top of the "LChavez_214" there is a notice that reads, "ANY ALTERATIONS IN SHADED AREAS RENDER FORM VOID". Below that notice, in a shaded area labeled "3. SOCIAL SECURITY NO.", it appears that a social security number has been altered by being blacked out. Under magnification, it appears that the blackened area was created with an electronic spray-paint tool.

The LChavez_214 is "VOID" by its own terms. Anyone who treats that 214 as valid is making a mistake.

The LChavez_214 is "VOID".

Regarding that blacked-out SSN on the DD214

Actually, blacking out the SSN is a commonly accepted practice when releasing such forms to the public, so I would give him a pass on that one. There are plenty enough discrepancies elsewhere on the form (and between it and his story) to prove that Lauro Chavez isn't giving us a straight story.

VOID Nevertheless

Yes, Stan, it is commonly accepted practice to black-out Social Security numbers on documents before documents are released for public view. However, under the terms of that DD214, that document is VOID and therefore evidence of nothing!

Does "LJ" Chavez exist? I seriously doubt it!

Does "LJ" Chavez exist?

Scott, I'm deliberately avoiding speculation as to whether Chavez (or whatever his real name is) was ever in the military or not, simply because I have no evidence one way or another. I'm simply pointing that if he was indeed in the military, his story has too many inconsistencies to be credible. Hope that makes sense to everyone.

Ohio Secretary of State Conceals Important Information

Lauro "LJ" Chavez has represented that he is the "Director of Information Security, Domin-8 Enterprise Solutions, 513-492-5831, lchavez@domin-8.com, www.domin-8.com". According to the Domin-8 web site, that company is located in Ohio. "513" is an Ohio telephone area code.

The address of the Ohio Secretary of State's website is http://www.sos.state.oh.us. That website allows a user to search the Secretary of State's records. When I searched that site I discovered that there is NO business incorporated or registered in Ohio under the name "Domin-8 Enterprise Solutions".

The Domin-8 Enterprise Solutions website (www.domin-8.com) indicates that Sean D. Curran is the "Vice President, General Counsel" and "is responsible for all corporate contracts, legal documents and agreements."

According to a page on the Ohio Secretary of State's website, J. Kenneth Blackwell, the Ohio Secretary of State, has certified that he "has custody of the business records for 21 GROUP LLC and, that said business records show the filing and recording of: ARTICLES OF ORGANIZATION/DOM.LLC, Document No. 200519903332". The text "Sean D. Curran and Georgina A. Curran, 821 Floral Avenue, Terrace Park, OH 45174" is on that page above the aforesaid certification.

The Ohio Secretary of State's website contains a link to the Articles of Organization for 21 GROUP LLC but that link is not functional. Why is that link not functional? Does Mr. Blackwell NOT want us to see who organized 21 GROUP LLC?

This Chavez story does not hold water. And it appears that Domin-8 is a fiction.

Scam Warning!

I did some additional research on Domin-8. Domin-8 Enterprise Solutions LLC was organized by Richard Oster, 8025 Excelsior Dr., Suite 200, Madison, WI 53717. Domin-8 Enterprise Solutions LLC was organized in May 2002 under the laws of the State of Maryland.

According to the State of Maryland's on-line "State Department of Assessments and Taxation Certificate of Status System," Domin-8 Enterprise Solutions LLC "is Not in Good Standing."

"LJ" Chavez claims that he was employed by a company that is not in good standing. This makes me wonder about his standing. Is LJ really what he has claimed to be?

Dominate with Disinformation

A news release dated May 16, 2005 describes Domin-8's "Paradigm Residential Property Management (RPM) Release 4.0." See http://www.domin-8.com/content.php?id=174

According to that news release, a "primary benefit" of using Paradigm RPM is that it provides, "A single point of command and control encompassing enterprise-wide property management..."

The phrase "command and control" is military terminology. In an article titled "Command, Control, Conquer", Christian Lowe wrote, "command and control" is what "military types call C2". See http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/002/613ilk...

Domin-8 was organized by Richard Oster, Vice President of Business Filings International, Inc. The principal(s) behind Domin-8 were able to hide their identities by having Business Filings International file their Articles of Organization with the State of Maryland.

Domin-8 filed their Articles of Organization with the Secretary of State of Ohio in order to become qualified to do business in Ohio. Domin-8 was misspelled as "Domin8" when it was added to the Ohio Secretary of State's on-line database of business entities. This misspelling makes it difficult to find the records about Domin-8. If you do find those records you will also find that it is impossible to download the first document that Domin-8 filed because the download link does not function. The nonfunctioning link serves the interests of people who are intent on keeping their identities secret. Their "command and control" terminology makes me suspect that these people are "military types".

Is LJ a military disinformation ploy?

A military organization uses "command and control" in its efforts to dominate. I wonder if this is the source of the name Domin-8.

A "who is" search revealed that the Domin-8.com server is in "AR(ARGENTINA)-CORDOBA-CORDOBA". That puts related business records beyond the reach of most of the people who would like to know who is really behind Domin-8.
