Nafeez Mossadeq Ahmed - The War on Truth

Nafeez Ahmed's books on 9/11 are fine examples of scholarship that deconstruct the official story of 9/11. His first book, "The War on Freedom: How & Why America was Attacked, September 11, 2001", convinced me personally that 9/11 was in reality not the event that was delivered to us by the U.S. and Western corporate press, fed by Western intelligence agencies. "The War on Freedom" won praise from Gore Vidal, among others. It was published in 2002, and ranks among the first serious deconstructions of the "War on Terror".

In 2005, Ahmed followed up with "The War on Truth", which continued his fine analysis of the propaganda and disinformation that goes hand in hand with the "War on Terror" and delineates an unbroken series of relationships between "al Qaeda" and Western intelligence, primarily, the CIA and the DIA, that continued after the end of the Cold War, and even after the bombing of US assets in the late 1990s.

In 2006, Ahmed published his last position on "al Qaeda" in "The Hidden History of 9-11-2001" (coming soon in softcover from Seven Stories Press);

“It has no existence as an independent concrete entity. It designates a highly developed category of Western covert operations designed to secure destabilization through the creation, multiplication, mobilization, and manipulation of disparate mujahideen groups. The evidence suggests that this was certainly the case on 9-11.”

In this C-SPAN BookTV segment from 2005, Ahmed talks about his research in "The War on Truth" and is 50 minutes of time very well spent.

I...

Love Nafeez's work. I think it's outstanding. My only critique is that his books can be hard to follow sometimes. Information overload. Other than that, he's awesome.

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

Creating Terror

Reprehensor has previously pointed to the work of Nafeez including his outstanding lecture "Creating Terror".

I like Ahmed's careful and circumspect approach. He foregos simplified inference and accusations preferring
to harvest what he can in the dark. A true journalist. I follow his work.

Hmm.

I believe I'll make a note of that in the main post. It's a pretty great little lecture.

Most of this stuff is linked throught the taxonomy "Nafeez Ahmed" below the main header.

What's interesting

is that his conclusions can be drawn from what was generally available to the public, such as the fact that there were intelligence agents who were blocked from investigating leads to what would become 9-11, from their superiors. We all heard this and knew it, and reached the conclusion that it was either incompetence, or that it was indeed a "conspiracy" involving higher officials in the government. Then, it becomes obvious that the war on terror is bogus, because all the cases in the United States since 9-11 (and probably before) are sting operations involving a government informant. This was documented in an article in, of all places, Foreign Affairs (the preeminent CFR organ), "The Myth of the Omnipresent Enemy," by John Mueller (http://www.foreignaffairs.org/20060901facomment85501/john-mueller/is-the...). Of course the prosecution of Lynne Stewart, attorney for the "Blind Sheikh) can also be seen in this light. It seemed like some kind of preemptive strike by the government against Stewart.

Great post. Thank you.

Hes great but...

Why does he chew gum while he's in front of a microphone? Very annoying.
Astonishing that he isnt aware of how bizzare that sounds, chewing between every break in sentence.

He was sick...

That weekend, and was chewing on lausages (sp?)

Everyone...

Should watch this.

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? The facts speak for themselves.
