Adam Syed discusses David Ray Griffin's WTC7 book on Cincinnati TV

First of all, I am pleased to mention that Cincinnati 9/11 Truth's hour long TV show on cable Public Access (Media Bridges), which used to be just once a month, has quadrupled its output to once a week (every Wednesday night, 7-8 p.m.). According to our producer who handles the bureaucratics with the studio owners, this is due to viewer demand. So even though it's "only" Public Access, which is often derided in our culture as the channel no one watches, it is clear that the demand is there. And this, in one of the most notoriously right wing, blindly nationalistic pockets of the country, Cincinnati Ohio!

I expounded upon David Ray Griffin's new book The Mysterious Collapse of World Trade Center 7: Why the Official Explanation of 9/11 is Unscientific and False.

When I first ordered the book, I wondered how he would devote over 200 pages (plus a lengthy end notes section). In amazingly meticulous detail, he explains in the first large section of the book (which is broken into chapters) how NIST unscientifically omits or distorts evidence that contradicts the official theory, and in the second large section of the book, he explains how NIST unscientifically argues in favor of its own theory.

I primarily focus on the first section of the book; perhaps a follow up is in order for next show.

For the entire episode (the embedded video is just my part) including coverage of other topics (NYCCAN, the first responders who died of cancer, etc.) here is the playlist:

Great Job Adam !

Thanks for all you do.

Thank you.

.

I agree. Great Job Adam!

Excellent presentation!

Thanks.

It feels good to be doing this once a week now. For viewer demand to cause us to go from once a month to four times a month speaks for itself.

This week and next week: Pentagon! (15 minutes per episode)

Right on!

A fair discussion of the Pentagon, OUTSTANDING!

If I may be so bold as to add one item to the discussion for your show that at first appears to be a small insignificant point but really is quite important, the second light pole the official story claims was struck by flight 77, fell the wrong direction. I believe that violates the basic laws of physics and is actually quite impossible. If Dr. Jones wants to correct me on this point I would gladly listen to his opinion on it but as of right now as far as I can tell the pole being thrown backwards after being supposedly struck by a 757 going over 500 mph is an impossibility. Something to discuss Adam. Cheers.

Didn't mention that specific point tonight

but might get round to it next week... thanks for mentioning.

Another obvious tip off that the light poles are staged can be seen in the following photo, where you can see a scratch on the road, from right to left, and the scratch stops right at the base of the pole, indicating the pole was dragged to its location for a photo op.

Very enjoyable

Quality discussion by intelligent, competent and eloquent men. Good book review Adam.

The last section, in which we see some additional information about the Pittsburgh G20 demonstrations is extremely disconcerting. The dogs who call themselves policemen vastly outnumber the demonstrators, order them to leave yet at the same time beat them up, surround them, arrest them and THEN NEEDLESSLY spray pepper spray in their faces when they comply.

Such men are the lowest lifeforms in a totalitarian state.

Thank you.

You sound Great Adam.

You sound Great Adam. Congratulations!!

Excellent

Be the media. Great job Adam. I would suggest that every time you talk about the Bush Administration or the Obama Administration you emphasize the false left/right paradigm some how or another. One more suggestion would be to prepare in advance definitions of terms like 'straw man' so that you can present it in a way where the comprehension of the definition really sticks in your audience's memory. Using a relevant example, and expressing the dramatic effect such a tactic has to prevent people from learning truth. "The 'straw man' tactic is a hostile attack against us to prevent us from learning the truth." Just my two cents.

I wish there were a way to distribute the shows you folks in Cincinnati are producing, to other members of the 9-11 Truth movement for airing on other local public access stations.

Thank you.

I'm glad you liked it!

You can find our archive of shows here.

I would just stick to the facts

Making comments about an alleged false left/right paradigm starts getting into the slippery slope of speculation and can certainly harm a presentation of legitimate facts if mixed in with them. Pressure should continue to be brought upon the federal government to re-investigate the events of Sept. 11, 2001 without resorting to speculation.

However, educating viewers on fallacious arguments is certainly legitimate.

I agree.

.

I understand your point

I think at a minimum, the audience should be reminded that those on the show do not associate with either Republicans or Democrats (assuming this is the case), so as not to alarm members of the audience to put up their defenses if they associate themselves with the 'opposite side.' For some people, just a mention of the 'other party' will immediately signal to them that they are listening to the enemy, and they will stop listening.

...

I agree.

Stating you are apolitical is different

and telling the audience, in some way, that this issue has nothing to do with a person's politics, and that people from diverse political backgrounds are in agreement that a new investigation is needed, is not speculation. This will allieviate politics as a concern and allow the audience to look at the facts.

Agreed

9/11 Truth itself exposes the left/right paradigm. The fact that BOTH parties AND their media surrogates are allergic or hostile to the issue tells you the two party "system" is coordinated and monolithic.

Unfortunately,

when it comes to the dyed in the wool right wingers, they see the left's non-embrace of 9/11 truth as "ultimate proof" that we're wrong. Their reasoning is: "Even the friggin' LIBERAL MEDIA knows this story has no legs!!! Wouldn't Dan Rather have POUNCED ON THIS?!?!?!?!?!?!"

And unfortunately, many on the left feel the same way.

But I don't know though. As I commented in another entry, my group did some truthing at Obama's visit to Cincinnati, sponsored by the AFL-CIO. Virtually everyone took a Blueprint for Truth DVD. (One loud and enthusiastic Obama supporter even exclaimed, as he took the video, "You know why we should investigate 911? Because WE DID IT, that's why!")

A few right wingers were outside the event, protesting Obama. Mostly hateful signs like "Bury ObamaCare --- right next to Ted Kennedy." When we offered those guys 9/11 truth stuff, they said "Go home, guys."

Unfortunately some people are really trapped in the right-left thing. I highly suspect that if 9/11 had happened exactly the way it did, but with a democrat president, those "go home guys" folks would likely be truthers.

'Spontaneous' protesters?

I have to wonder when I hear about these pro-Repulican protesters whether these are truly disgruntled citizens who protest the current administration of their own accord, or whether they're not just hirelings of the RNC or some front group (Murdoch, Scaife, Heritage Foundation, etc.)--in other words, not actual grassroots activism, but 'astroturf,' purchased to create the appearance of a grassroots groundswell (and of course, lapped up by the corporate media, who manage to overlook how many instances of actual spontaneous citizen activism).

I guess what I'm saying is that these folks whom you encountered may not be the best sampling when it comes to assessing receptivity to 9/11 information among people who identify themselves as Republicans. Those who don't go to such protests might prove to be a different story.

This was an important insight

rm, good job breaking down the possibilities that the anti-Obama protestors were probably paid astroturfers and that they would not likely represent honest people who happen to be Republican.

I know Obama protesters

They are real, they are sincere, and they are scared shitless of where Obama is dumping the future for their children and grand children.

Right wingers can be woken up. Tailor your message to your audience.

Some are real

Some are like the bussed in mob that stopped the vote in Florida by harassing the elections people INSIDE the elections building.

Obama is going to wreck the future but not the way they think.

No worries. Just tell them they can take Obama down with 9/11 Truth.

If they don't perk up to that one, they're probably getting paid.

Union of Concerned Scientists

Good job, Adam. I noticed you mentioned the Union of Conerned Scientists and the role they had in busting the Bush administration's lies about climate change, stem cells, etc. -- the whole anti-science attitude of the time. The pinnacle of this arrogance was arguably the NIST report.

Griffin believes we should try and elicit UCS in our fight against the NIST report on Building 7. They are primarily concerned with environmental science, but it's worth a shot. It would be great to have both AE911Truth -AND- UCS attacking NIST and the Commerce Dept. for perpetuating a fraud!

I first learned

about that Union of Concerned Scientists petition in DRG's Debunking 9/11 Debunking. My jaw initially dropped when I saw how so many thousands of scientists had signed that petition within three short years. In 2007 when D911D was published, there were over 10,000 sigs. At the end of 2008 there were over 15,000, as DRG informs us in the current book.

That's a good conduit to get people to open their minds to the fact that NIST is politically compromised.

People have a desperate need to believe that our institutions act in good faith. That even during the Bush administration, our "scientific" agencies would act in the true spirit of science. Naive, I know. But people have a need to believe.

(Edit: Then there are those people, while scientifically progressive and definitely anti Bush, who are still in deep 9/11 denial. By that I mean: they understand that the Bush administration agencies were scientifically compromised on more "benign" things like forestry and reproduction, but that govt. agencies wouldn't be SO compromised as to not be able to blow the whistle on scientific proof of treason and mass murder.)

Of course, that's what anti-truthers would say about us. That we have a "need to believe" in the conspiracy.

What an Orwellian world we're living in.

Fringe on the American Flag.

I noticed that the American flag on the set had gold fringe. I seemed to remember hearing something about fringe on the American flag in the past, but I couldn't remember what the significance was.

According to Wiki Answers:

Q: What does the gold fringe on the American flag mean?

A: Its just a honorable enrichment only, not an integral part of the flag.
The "honorable enrichment" is Admiralty or War flag which denotes Admiralty or martial law.

Given the display of martial law type behavior by law enforcement and military at the G20, I would say this is an entirely appropriate flag to display.

Thanks for all you do Cincy.

Adam,

Thanks for posting this.

(My daughters want me to tell you that you look "cute" in your hoodie.)

I guess I should start

I guess I should start wearing that thing more often then! <3

Excellent Ohio!! ...many people do want to know about 9/11....

Well Done Adam

This is an excellent initiative, and a very calm and lucid presentation as well. Nice to put a face to the name too.

Do all US states have public access TV? Seems like a great medium to get some facts across. Shame we don't have anything like that here in the UK.

Los Angeles

Los Angeles has 24 different 'districts' for public access. The show must be submitted to each district separately and it will be put on the schedule independently from all the other districts, so it's impossible to get one show up for all districts to see at the same time.

Great Review

When the student is ready the teacher will come.

Great review of DRG's latest book. You spoke well and you covered some basic scientific facts and investigative procedures very thouroughly.

Take Care Matt

Nice work Adam

It's not easy to speak near flawlessly in front of a camera. You make just enough mistakes to be human.

Way to go

Carry on
