Republican presidential candidate John McCain was asked Thursday his opinion of an attempt to impeach President Bush. His answer shouldn't surprise anyone.

If nothing else, the fact that a question was even asked shows that McCain's campaign doesn't do as rigorous a job as President Bush's handlers do in weeding out unfriendly questioners from town hall meetings.

"I appreciate this opportunity, Mr. McCain, to ask you a question," said a man attending the town hall meeting at Xavier University in Ohio. "Part one is in regards to the articles of impeachment brought up by Kucinich for Bush. What your stance is on that as far as manipulated intelligence to form the policy. And then the second is Professor Gatsby from Arizona was outside your office for sixteen days and didn't eat solid foods. I was wondering if you agreed to meet with him for the two hours he requested or does he have to be a corporate owner with multi-million dollars to meet with you."

The Republican senator laughed.

"I do not agree with quote 'articles of impeachment,'" McCain said, in reference to a resolution introduced by Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH).

The second question was about an Arizona professor and 9/11 conspiracy theorist who staged a hunger strike outside McCain's office requesting a meeting with the senator. McCain said the professor ended his strike although he was refused an audience.

"I did not" meet with him, McCain said. "Because I don't take well to threats."

This video is from CNN.com, broadcast June 26, 2008.

Blair did nothing...

But "praise" McCain... to the point I was getting pissed. McCain owes Blair an apology and a retraction for lying. As well as a meeting with his constituent.

As defined by Wikipedia, a hunger strike "is a method of non-violent resistance or pressure in which participants fast as an act of political protest, or to provoke feelings of guilt in others, usually with the objective to achieve a specific goal, such as a policy change."

The very purpose of a hunger strike is to BE non-violent.

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

lol?

Wow, that makes about as much sense as this: "I did not ... because I had Cheerios for breakfast last Tuesday."

Ha! you got that right

...and these guys want to be President? Just when thought they couldn't be dumber than GWB..........ugh!

Oddly Enough, Was Able To Briefly Meet McCain Earlier This Week

My line of work required me to briefly escort Sen. McCain (under the direction of his SS detail) from point "A" to point "B".

And what was the highlight for me? Getting to meet the SS agents.

Tell us more....

EOM

Well ...

I work at a large commercial property in the U.S. southwest at which the senator paid a visit. The encounter lasted about 3 minutes.

In order to CMA, I'll stop there.

Hi, I blog at OpEdNews.com and 911Blogger.com and would like an on the record clarification of John McCain's recent statement;

"I did not" meet with [Blair Gadsby], McCain said. "Because I don't take well to threats."

In what way was McCain "threatened"?

As far as I know, Mr. Gadsby was on a non-violent hunger strike in order to get the attention of the public, media and John McCain on the failure of the official explanations to account for 9/11, still unanswered questions, and the need for new investigations. Gadsby was asking for McCain to meet for 2 hours with 2 researchers widely respected in the 9/11 Truth Movement, Dr. Steven Jones and Architect Richard Gage, for a presentation of evidence that the NIST Report on the destruction of WTC 1 & 2 is false, and evidence those buildings and WTC 7 were destroyed by controlled demolition. Gadsby wanted there to be opportunity for rebuttal by defenders of the NIST Report.

There is a letter from John McCain's Senate Office to Blair Gadsby dated June 12, 2008 and posted at www.hungry4truth.com, in which McCain acknowledges receipt of material and being briefed by his staff on Mr. Gadsby's request and information; officially declines to meet with Mr. Gadsby; and welcomes submission of additional material. There is nothing to indicate McCain feels threatened in any way.

Threatening a US Senator and Presidential Candidate is a serious crime. I am unaware of any "threat" made or posed by Blair Gadsby and his hunger strike; there is nothing on hungry4truth.com, or anything I've seen in the wide coverage on the internet to indicate Mr. Gadsby, or any of his supporters, threatened McCain or anyone associated with him. For the record, what "threat/s" was John McCain referring to?

9/11 was the largest national security event since Pearl Harbor, and it has been used to justify a "War on Terror", torture, rendition, the PATRIOT Act, warrantless wiretapping, denial of Habeus Corpus (Military Commissions Act of 2006) and much more. The People of the US and the World have never been given truthful and complete answers to the most pressing questions, and every year support for new investigations continues to grow.

Zogby Poll: 51% of Americans Want Congress to Probe Bush/Cheney Regarding 9/11 Attacks; Over 30% Seek Immediate Impeachment: 67% also fault 9/11 Commission for not investigating anomalous collapse of World Trade Center 7

I noticed a little fear in his voice.

And he made it his last question? The audience clapped right on cue..dissappointing. Nice questions.

Questioner was excellent

I thought the questioner did an excellent job, and at the end of the clip, even was responding to McCandidate's ridiculous assertion that he was being threatened. Way!

Some inconsequential people...

Are trying to say that Blair threatened McCain with the loss of his own life even though Blair said on several ocassions he had no intention of dying. McCain made it sound like Blair threatened him with violence. He owes Blair an apology.

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

WE THE PEOPLE to the Senator

WE THE PEOPLE to the Senator from Arizona.

WE don't take WELL to TREASON.

McCain is a PNAC puppet

McCain's foreign policy advisor is PNAC "scholar" Robert Kagan.

McCain is neither a "hero" nor a "maverick". He is a victim of PTSD who has been chosen as the next neocon host. He is not his own man. Address him accordingly.

McCain DOES take to threats well

McCain DOES take to threats well.....hes a master at giving them, as his hit: Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran showed us. Maybe people should have explained that to him.

Does McCain wear a tiny wireless earphone?

I have a question for everyone?

Does McCain wear a tiny wireless earphone?

He seems to be attempting to digest something other than what the questioner is directing towards him? He may just be thinking but it may be direction as well?

McCain is wiping his mouth this time. Is it drool or dry mouth from steroids? His eyes show the toll of continuous meds somewhat tired and vacant. The bump on this cheek is distinct.

I really dislike when they put out these guys who are more undead than alive to run.

McCain..
...don't believe him!
