Tikkun - A Jewish Magazine, an Interfaith Movement & 9/11 Skepticism
Maybe you blinked and missed it, but this past week Rabbi Michael Lerner's Tikkun magazine published a long article by David Ray Griffin called The American Empire and 9/11;
Editor’s Note: Because we at Tikkun are aware of extensive arguments that have appeared elsewhere against the perspective presented by the author of this piece, we debated long and hard about whether to present David Ray Griffin's argument here. We decided it was still important, given that if his view is true, the position he articulates would provide adequate grounds for impeachment of the president, grounds far more substantive than those that formed the basis of the impeachment by a Republican dominated Congress of President Bill Clinton. You are invited to give your responses to this piece.

This is exceptionally good news. Intelligent progressives with an open mind are going to read Griffin's cogent rational essay, and they are going to think. Many of these people probably don't normally come to websites like 911blogger.com or 911truth.org, and so a previously untapped batch of critically thinking individuals are going to see an alternative view of 9/11 that may be new to them, presented by a trusted source, Tikkun.

Of all German newspapers, the Frankfurter Algemeine Zeitung (or FAZ) has a relatively large international reach.
Unfortunately, it was just a shoddy hit piece
not even 3rd grade...more like 451st grade. And they of course censored the comments before disabling commenting altogether about half an hour after publishing...

Iran attack to stop the EURO -- yes!
Iran USA = Dollar-Euro war
In reality Iran is a big threat to the USA because of its capabilities to devalue the US dollar.
When Iran enables world-wide oli-trading done in EUROS, banks will not need to hold enormous US dollar reserves, and can sell it off. Currently the world lends the USA 2b dollars PER DAY to cover the trade deficit (check the CIA world factbook, look at the bottom of the list!)
Normally the USA has to shrink it's spending to third-world levels, but of course the US generals are prepared for mass murder ...

Consider Japan & China in this equation

What would happen to China and Japan's ecconomies if the US dollar fell?
Well, for starters the debt or currency they hold would be worh a whole lot less.
How would we/ the US' credit be affected?
How would we pay for all those Toyotas and cheap Chinese made goods we're so accustomed to?
Neither China nor Japan wants our ecconomy to have a drastic downturn in the short run, as their own ecconomies would suffer. Meanwhile the long game IS being played out... 1 BILLION Chinese labourers vs. 300 million US. 3x the potential productivity. Enough influence on US policy via financial interest to lobby congress for whatever they want.
Now consider the war in Iraq/Iran...
Its OUR insurance policy, and our only one at that... Our ACE to keep everyone "honest"... If we controll the oil, we control the ecconomic successes or failures of China and Japan.
So... China has a tough balancing act... do they allow us to control their destiny by helping us to gain control of most of the worl'd oil (undermining OPEC)? Or, do they help Iran, Iraq and Russia... to fight us just hard enough that we use up ALL of our credit. The same as we effectively did to the Soviet's visa vis the cold war & Afghanistan?
The Euro certainly plays into the picture... And its motivation for the US to attack Iran, but its not the end all, be all.

Mr. Anderson, I believe that what you are reporting on here has basic relevance to why the 9-11 events occurred -- why 'we' needed a false-flag attack on ourselves.
It is all so very structural that it becomes difficult to see a way out of this mess. Even if the real perpetrators (at the top) were brought to trail and to prison, and more, the structure would remain the same and so the same might happen again.
This is why it just can't be brought to light, within the current structure.

One could argue that there is room for both conversations, and there is. In fact, the kind of psychic trauma that would happen were the charges of intentional involvement in 9/11 by the president, vice president, other high office holders, or our security apparatus ever proved in a court of law would almost certainly open up political space for a serious discussion of the kinds of radical changes I’m suggesting, especially regarding our approach to foreign policy and homeland security. Indeed, people might be open to establishing much more forceful checks and balances on the imperial presidency, reaffirming and even strengthening civil liberties protections that have been undermined by the Patriot Act and other policies of the Bush administration, securing democratic forms by eliminating the electoral college and establishing instant-runoff voting and fully, publicly financed elections that forbid any direct or indirect contributions or support for campaigns or the parties that run them, establishing firm public control of electronic voting and strict public control over lobbying to ensure that money plays no role directly or indirectly in the process, and other measures to reclaim the democracy that has eroded since 9/11.
These are important changes that could be won if 9/11 lies are exposed, if in fact they were lies (about which I am agnostic).
