Has anyone else noticed that the media, and Congress is acting as though torture is the only crime committed by the Bush White House (with the possible exception of illegal wiretapping)?

Why has everyone forgotten the other crimes perpetrated by the Bush White House? Crimes like stealing the 2000, and 2004 elections. Proveable crimes concerning the 9/11 attacks like obstruction of justice, and criminal negligence. Crimes like lying this country into war. Crimes like violating the Constitution. The list of crimes committed by the Bush Administration just goes on and on.

Responders, volunteers, friends & supporters:

3 weeks ago we witnessed the most significant progress in almost 8 years of neglect and denial. On March 31st we traveled to D.C. for the first of 2 hearings on our bill HR847 the James Zadroga Health & Compensation Act. Our presence was felt and this important piece of legislation now has momentum, more so then ever. This Wednesday on April 22nd we travel back to D.C. to show our nations leaders we will continue to be a presence until we achieve our common goal. And that is the passage of HR847. I am optimistic that this bill will pass through the house and I am confident Sen. Chuck Schumer will introduce this bill in the senate very shortly. Is this bill a ten on the 1-10 scale? Absolutely not, but this bill in my mind is an 8 with room for improvement, and this bill will provide health care and compensation for thousands of brave souls and innocent victims of 9/11 who suffer from it's horrific aftermath. After dozens of meetings, conference calls & hundreds of letters and emails, I am confident we are close, and I am confident that the NY Delegation is fighting for us tooth & nail. As a 9/11 responder horribly injured at Ground Zero, I am proud of my service to this country. But I am even more proud to know I served a fraternity of heroes and great Americans like all of you. Our work is far from done, and we must stand united as one for us to finish our journey. A journey in which we have seen so many good men & woman loose their battle to 9/11 illnesses. But a journey where so many of you have become heroes twice for your resolve & testament to fight and survive. I salute all uniform & non-uniform workers, because your actions should be embraced and emulated by all who suffer from history and governmental neglect. God bless you all & god bless America.

Former state attorney general John Farmer Jr. will be named this morning as the new dean of the Rutgers School of Law in Newark, university president Richard McCormick said.

A decorated legal veteran whose career has crisscrossed private practice, government and education, Farmer assumes the post on July 1. He will replace Stuart Deutsch, a professor who was named dean in 1999 and will now return to the faculty.

The 9/11 Truth Movement has been right about NORAD, has been right about Philip Zelikow, has been right about Sibel Edmonds, has been right about the ISI's past and current connections to terrorism, has been right about a GREAT MANY THINGS. This week the 64th British soldier to die in Afghanistan, Corporal Mike Gilyeat, was buried. All the right things were said about this brave soldier, just as, on current trends, they will be said about one or more of his colleagues who follow him next week.

The alarming escalation of the casualty rate among British soldiers in Afghanistan - up to ten per cent - led to discussion this week on whether it could be fairly compared to casualty rates in the Second World War.

Connect the dots. According to the UN's latest report, under U.S. occupation 92% of the world's opium production comes from Afghan poppies. Most of the heroin going to Europe is manufactured in or transits Turkey. The exact value to Turkey of its heroin exports is unknown but experts estimate a range in the tens of billions of dollars per year. The neocons helped establish and remain closely associated with Turkish lobbying efforts in the U.S. The question is, then: does the seamy side of Turkish influence peddling involve, among other things, money laundering, narcotics trafficking, espionage, bribery of U.S. officials, nuclear proliferation, and aid to terrorist front groups (not to mention whatever motivated the previous administration to invade Afghanistan)? Put differently, how and to what extent has the Turkish "deep state" joined forces with the American "deep state"? The President of Mexico has an unfortunate message for Americans still ignorant of the Drug War's cold realities: Some of your politicians are involved.

Yes folks, it is long-past time to start thinking about alternative strategies for combating both the harmful effects of drug addiction and the deadly effects of forcing an economy outside of the law.

"It is impossible to pass tons of drugs and cocaine to U.S. without some great complicity of some American authorities," said Mexican President Felipe Calderone.

Yesterday, John Feal, along with several other 9/11 First Responders went down to Washington D.C. to attend the hearing on the James Zadroga 9/11 Health And Compensation Act. From what I understand, he was singled out by the Congressmen, and applauded for his efforts. I want to say congratulations John. Just to give people an idea of how much you've fought for the responders, here's a little tribute to you (that barely covers your fight). Thank you for doing the right thing. I am very proud to say that you are my friend.

I don't know if you heard, but the United States has been threatened by someone named Baitullah Mehsud. "Soon we will launch an attack in Washington that will amaze everyone in the world."

I've never heard his name before myself, but historycommons.org has. Apparently Benazir Bhutto named him as one of her possible assassins. According to two reports from Oct. 2008, he died from kidney failure (hat tip to Reprehensor). This wouldn't be the first person to die, and come back from the grave.

WASHINGTON -- Sponsors of a bill to compensate and cover health care costs of ailing 9/11 responders and recovery workers predicted Tuesday the House would pass the long-pending legislation this year.

New York Democratic Reps. Jerrold Nadler and Carolyn Maloney, of Manhattan, key sponsors of the measure, said the bill's ultimate fate lies in the Senate, where Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) has promised to introduce a companion bill.

"We have a really good chance of passing this," Nadler said.

Added Maloney, "We're going to get it done. We're going to pass this bill."

Rep. Peter King (R-Seaford) said some Republicans would join Democrats in voting for the bill. Nadler said if Congress passes a bill President Barack Obama has said he would sign it.

On March 25th, 2009, the New York Times reported that the Taliban gets "direct support from operatives in Pakistan's military intelligence agency" [...] ACCORDING TO AMERICAN GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS (emphasis mine).

According to President Obama, these revelations "aren't new." As it turns out, he's right.

Over the years, there have been so many reports about the ISI's connection to 9/11, and to terrorism. The U.S. Government has been confronted on this issue on more than one occasion, and yet, NOW they are miraculously discovering this connection.

Tomorrow, 2 busloads of 9/11 First Responders are going down to Washington D.C. to make sure those who need to hear what they have to say, hear them loud and clear. Rep. Carolyn Maloney and others are having a committee hearing on the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act. Please, today and tomorrow, call your Reps, and tell them that you support this bill. As the New York Daily news reports, this bill "will offer medical help and compensation for everyone affected by the attacks on the World Trade Center."

It has almost been 8 years. That is too long to suffer. Please do what you can to help them get this bill passed. Thank you.
