First Warnings

16/10/06 www.mountainsentinel.com In October of 2001, a little over a month after 9/11, I wrote an article titled The Background is Oil. The hypothesis laid out in this article was that the 2000 US presidential election resulted in a coup of neocons and oil interests who had taken control of the US in order to prepare for the coming peak and decline of world oil production. Furthermore, this coup engineered the 9/11 terrorist attacks to further their own interests.

Before 9/11, the coup was hampered by lack of support from both the public and Congress. The tragedies of September 11th washed all resistance away in a flood of rabid patriotism. As a result, the coup was able to hijack the US political process. Over the coming years, starting with the patriot act, the coup has been able to strip us of our constitutional rights, in preparation for the civil unrest which will come from the peak and decline of oil production and the resulting economic collapse.

Some time ago you will remember the "Call to Action" by Alex Jones regarding the next false flag attack possibly on American soil. A lot of us rose to the occasion and compiled media emails for USA & Canada and fired them off.

I personally fired emails to all of Canada media and most of the USA, asking the media to stand up and report on the false flags and also the inconsistencies in the official story in general. Yesterday I received an email from THE CANADIAN NATIONAL NEWSPAPER stating that they ran a story on 911. Take a look.

Adapting Paul Thompson’s definitive Complete 9/11 Timeline (published by HarperCollins as ‘The Terror Timeline’), the filmmakers collaborate with documentary veterans Globalvision (‘WMD: Weapons of Mass Deception’, ‘Beyond JFK’) to stitch together rare overlooked news clips, buried stories, and government press conferences, revealing a pattern of official lies, deception and spin. As a result, a very different picture of 9/11 emerges, one that raises new and more pressing questions.

The local newspaper where I live published my Letter To The Editor in the Friday, September 22, 2006 edition regarding 9/11: Press For Truth. The newspaper reaches at least a few thousand homes directly, and is also delivered to many public places and businesses, such as Libraries, government buildings, Hospital and medical clinics, restaurants and coffee shops, as well as being sold at all gas stations, most convenience stores and supermarkets, etc.

The Editor slightly altered the letter. But it's still very similar to the original in most respects. And it's prominently featured on the first page of the letters section, titled as I requested, so I have no complaints.

I attended the 7:00pm screening of "9/11: Press for Truth" at Landmark's E Street Cinema in DC. Although there were approximately 40 others in the audience, I was disappointed that more young people didn't turn out to support the movement. My initial reaction to "Press for Truth" was that of disappointment: there were too many core components left out of the film that implicate the government through MIHOP. Among the gaps: wargames, controlled demolition of the towers, the Mineta testimony, and insider trading. However, as my girlfriend and I discussed the scenes on our way home, I realized that "Press for Truth" is a perfect film for fence-sitters and those unfamiliar with 9/11 Truth.

The genius of "Press for Truth", what set it apart from other 9/11 Truth documentaries, is the raw emotion the film generates and demands from its audience. Unlike Loose Change, we see the human response to 9/11 in the form of the 'Jersey Girls'. We emphasize with the betrayal they received from the 9/11 Commission they helped create. Most importantly, they show that a group of ordinary, dedicated civilians can make a difference. Additionally, the incorporation of Paul Thompson's "9/11 Timeline" highlighted the money trail from the Pakistani ISI to the hijackers and proved to be particularly damning.

A new documentary on 9/11 drew press and public to the Grand Lake Theater Thursday, September 7, 2006- and promises to have a major impact on public understanding of 9/11.

Last May I got a review copy of an unfinished documentary called 9/11 Press for Truth; I was very impressed and thought that this might be the film to wake up the country. In late August, the film was finished and finally, suddenly, available for theatrical release, just in time for the 5th Anniversary of 9/11. Unfortunately we had already a string of events that we were organizing and promoting and I suggested doing a big event in October, which would give us more time to do outreach. Ken Ellis and Kyle Hence, the co-executive producers decided to go ahead with a national release on September 7th, so we let Ken Ellis organize it, and the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance just helped to do publicity and outreach in less than two weeks, not even enough time to put up posters and flyers.

Author Paul Thompson will be available to answer questions and sign copies of his book The Terror Timeline on September 9.

For the widows and families who lost loved ones in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, there will always be a void that can never be filled, an anger that can never be sated and a sense of disbelief that will never leave. Time may heal the emotional wounds they suffer, to a certain degree, and they’ve found the strength to go on, despite all they’ve suffered. An important part in this process is the search for answers to questions of why the events unfolded as they did on that fateful day. While all of their queries may not be answered in the end, the search and the occasional discovery of an explanatory piece of information helps those who’ve been left behind heal and move on a little bit more.

Ray Nowoseilski and John Duffy’s documentary, 9/11: Press for Truth, concerns the efforts of a group of widows and other families who lost loved ones in the terrorist attacks to find some answers as to why events unfolded as they did on that tragic day and reveals that, surprise, surprise, the United States government has done very little to help them in their search. According to the film, instead of helping them deal with their pain, the Bush Administration has stonewalled them at every turn, exacerbating their suffering instead of helping them relieve it. What is it that George W. and his cronies have to hide in relation to the 9/11 attacks? Turns out, they committed many acts of ignorance and negligence that they’d like to sweep under the rug and would have gotten away with doing were it not for the tenacity of four New Jersey widows and a lone reporter.

The anti-Bush backlash will be stoked by "9/11: The Press for Truth." Ray Nowosielski's documentary tranchantly makes the point that the Bush regime has a lot to answer for, starting with why it didn't take seriously the many pre-9/11 warnings of an imminent terrorist attack involving aircraft. It adds that the 9/11 Commission investigation was stonewalled by the administration, that it wasn't until public pressure generated by the 9/11 widows nicknamed The Jersey Girls that administration officials grudgingly testified, and then minimally, with Bush and Dick Cheney agreeing to do so only behind closed doors and not under oath.

Was there a cover-up? The film asks, riding the book "The Terror Timeline" by Paul Thompson, who shames most other so-called journalism by digging into available material and asking pointed questions. One of the most explosive has to do with the assertion that the money for the 9/11 hijackers was funnelled through the head of Pakistani intelligence, and that this was covered up, as was Osama bin Laden's escape into Pakistan when Tora Bora was surrounded on only three sides and an air corridor to Pakistan was left open.

After fighting the White House for a year, the 9/11 families learned in November 2002 they would finally get their independent investigation. President Bush's first act was to name former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger to chair the 9/11 Commission.

The families would soon confront Kissinger about some disturbing skeletons they had discovered in his closet.
