Here is the highly redacted intinerary of Pakistani ISI general Mahmud Ahmed, from his visit to Washington D.C. the week of 9/11. It was received last year via FOIA request by the 9/11 Working Group of Bloomington.

Apparently Ahmed's activity that week included meetings with the following people or groups.

Unidentified representative(s) from The State Department
Unidentified representative(s) from The National Security Council
Peter Rodman, PNAC member and former assistant to Henry Kissinger
The Direcor of the DIA (at the time - Vice Admiral Thomas R. Wilson, who was briefed on Able Danger in March 2001)
Senator Bob Graham, who with Porter Goss would lead the Joint Inquiry into 9/11
Rep.Porter Goss, who would lead Joint Inquiry with Graham and then become CIA Director
General Tommy Franks, CENTCOM Commander

by teleconference:
Paul Wolfowtiz, PNAC member and Deputy Secretary of Defense
Douglas Feith, decribed by Tommy Franks as "the dumbest fucking guy on the planet" (according to Franks' autobiography)
Peter Flory, Acting Asst Sec of Defense for Internation Securty Affairs (http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Peter_Flory)
Captain Paul Hulley, USN, Acting Asst Sec of Defense for Near East and South Asian Affairs
Miguel (Mike) Walsh, Afghanistan-Pakistan Country Director in OSD Policy (under Rodman) between 1999-2004
Unidentified Senior Representative from the Office of Asst Sec of SOLIC (where PsyOps is managed)
Unidentified Senior Representative from the Joint Chiefs of Staff

Good work.

I was hoping to see Condi's name. Joe Biden and Marc Grossman aren't listed?

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? The facts speak for themselves.

Grossman

...was Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs. The Dept of State representatives who met with Ahmed (or Ahmad) weren't named in this document.

Condi was National Security Advisor, and therefore was part of the National Security Council. Again, no names given but I'm guessing it was her and/or Stephen Hadley. She denied it of course. "I have not seen that report, and he was certainly not meeting with me" she said.

Some other remarks about those Ahmed possibly met with (Biden) are here, along with Condi's (inaudible) transcripts.

That's why...

I was hoping to see Condi's name. ;)

"Highly" Redacted - Understatement of the Week

I believe other credible sources have pretty much confirmed the Marc Grossman meeting and you have to believe that he met with “at least” Hadley from NSC (of course Rice denied any meeting). Unfortunately, I do not know FOIA law well but it seems utterly ridiculous to me that they could not at least provide the meeting participant names. It’s bad enough that over 95% of all other information is redacted, is it any wonder that so many people distrust our government around the 9/11 attacks and its subsequent investigation? It’s this kind of atrocious transparency that makes our government look like a third world communist country.

Pakistan was definitely one of the largest benefactors of the 9/11 attacks, and like Deep Throat said, just follow the money. The US financial aid to Pakistan in 2001 (from 2000 budget) was a mere $3 million and the next year it increased to $900 million. Pakistan is now the third largest recipient of US foreign aid, trailing only Israel and Egypt. Besides the US military industrial complex, the other biggest benefactors of the 9/11 attacks and the wars that followed were Israel and Saudi Arabia (primarily geopolitical benefits but also potential economic benefits as well), both of which have their own questionable connections to the 9/11 attacks

Nice work.

Whoever redacted the documents, he was certainly enthusiastic.

kudos to 9/11 working group

for getting all these docs released. http://911workinggroup.org/foia.html

it would be great if, when they're scanned, you could make them text-searchable- that way web searches will hit on them more, plus it makes it easier for researchers to find stuff
