Visibility 9-11 Welcomes Kyle Hence, Producer 9-11 Press for Truth

This episode of Visibility 9-11 welcomes back to the program Kyle Hence, founder of 9-11 Citizens Watch and producer of the excellent documentary 9-11 Press for Truth. Included is a brief discussion about the film as well as a new film Kyle is working on based on footnote #44 in Chapter 6 of the 9-11 Commission Report. A press release from the September 11th Advocates reads in part:

"In July 2004, when the 9/11 Commission released its Final Report, we read with enormous interest, Chapter 6 - "From Threat to Threat", including footnote #44. Footnote #44 details an instance where a CIA desk officer intentionally withheld vital information from the FBI about two of the 9/11 hijackers who were inside the United States. This footnote further states that the CIA desk officer covered-up the decision to withhold said vital information from the FBI. Finally, footnote #44 states that the CIA desk officer could not recall who told her to carry out such acts."

Also included in this discussion are the circumstances surrounding the historic national premier of 9-11 Press for Truth on a major market PBS station. On June 3, 2009 at 7:00pm, 9-11 Press for Truth will be shown on KBDI, Channel 12 in Denver Colorado. This historic broadcast will feature in studio interviews during the broadcast of Kyle Hence, Bob McIlvaine, and a representative of Colorado 9-11 Visibility. Good job.

Do these people deserve to know how and why their loved ones were murdered? Do we deserve to know how and why 9/11 happened?

Truthers in Colorado

have been doing a fantastic job, geting coverage on Public Access TV, reaching out to law-enforcement and the General Public.

This is way it should be done.

In a war of inches, Colorado Truthers have been making leaps and bounds.

The CONSTITUTION is NOT going to "collapse" into pulverized dust no matter how much thermate/explosives or planes they throw at it

They are bringing BOB MCILVAINE to Denver.

They are bringing BOB MCILVAINE to Denver!

Love that Bob!

Another Great Interview. Listen!

If it's all above board then what explains the secrecy?

I was looking through Book TV and against my better judgment watched part of a Ronald Kessler speech followed by a Q and A about his book The Terrorist Watch. Someone asked him about Tenet's contradictory conduct in regard to al-Hazmi and al-Mihdhar. Kessler replied by admitting Tenet dropped the ball then shifted into a bizarre tangent about FBI computer problems. Oddly enough, former Alec Station chief Michael Scheuer once blamed CIA withholding on poor FBI computer systems. I thought Kessler was an investigative reporter. Why isn't he more curious that the CIA withheld information about al Qaeda operatives inside the US? For 20 months. During two Presidential administrations. Even after the Cole attack. When the system was blinking red.

We haven't heard a word from either chief of the CIA and FBI Bin Laden units. AFAICT, the 9/11 Commission didn't interview the FBI UBLU chief and the CIA chief's MFR (on the NARA site) is pending classification review. One would think these two officials would know why the CIA withheld the information and why the FBI UBLU also withheld the information from the Cole investigators.

Why can't John Farmer answer this question? I can see it now, at his book tour Q and A someone will bring up this issue and he will probably start with the Gorelick wall, then drift into a discussion of incompetence and finish by blaming the FBI's poor computer system. One should note that the information was shared in late August '01. And I must point out, the FBI's computer system was just as bad in August '01 as it was in the prior months.

RE: Footnote #44, this has already been mostly explained

See the web site www.eventson911.com, for the complete account on this. This site has a summary of the reasons the CIA and FBI HQ personnel withheld information on Mihdhar and Hazmi from the FBI criminal investigators on the USS Cole bombing. Almost all of the information on this site comes from US government web sites and sources, including the following locations:

The Account of FBI Agent Ali Soufan, was taken from the New Yorker July 17, 2006 issue, the former FBI Agent now testifying in front of congress last week on torture, the Department Of Justice Inspector General’s Report on the performance of the FBI prior to 9/11, the material entered into the trail of Moussaoui and the testimony given to the US DOJ IG investigators on November 7, 2002 by Sherry Sabol the attorney FBI Agent Dina Corsi consulted prior to taking the investigation of Mihdhar away from FBI Agent Steve Bongardt, testimony found on page 538 of the 9/11 Commission report.

The material from the Moussaoui trail came from the government web site located at: http://www.vaed.uscourts.gov/notablecases/moussaoui/exhibits/

The account of FBI Agent Ali Soufan comes from FBI Agent Steve Bongardt, Ali Soufan’s assistant on the Cole bombing investigation, and was given to author Lawrence Wright and vetted by John Miller information officer at the FBI prior to being published in the New Yorker and the book Looming Tower which won a Pulitzer prize in 2007, and can be considered the official account of the FBI prior to that attacks on 9/11.

A complete summary of what had occurred prior to the attacks on 9/11 is also available so you and anyone can see what had occurred that had allowed the attacks on 9/11 to take place.

It is now obvious why the information on Mihdhar and Hazmi and the meeting in Kuala Lumpur was withheld from the FBI investigators after January 4, 2001 when Walid Bin Attash was identified in a photograph of him taken at the Janaury Al Qaeda planning meeting. At that point the CIA had already identified Mihdhar and Hazmi at that same meeting, and knew these al Qaeda terrorists had been planning the Cole bombing at this meeting. The CIA was afraid if this information became public their culpable in allowing the bombing of the USS Cole would subject them to intense criticism.

The CIA started after January 4, 2001 a wide ranging criminal conspiracy to hide all of this information from the FBI criminal investigators.

Even the meeting that Wilshire set up on June 10, 2001 in NY City with his people at the CIA, CIA officer Clark Shannon, FBI IOS Agent Margret Gillespie, who was working with Shannon at the Bin Laden unit at the CIA and FBI HQ Agent Dina Corsi , and the Cole bombing investigators was nothing more than a sting on these FBI investigators, set up just after the CIA received FBI Agent Ali Soufan’s request to the CIA for any information the CIA had on Bin Attash and any meeting in Kuala Lumpur, to find out if these FBI investigators had become aware of the Kuala Lumpur meeting in their search for Bin Attash.

It is not entirely clear why the CIA started keeping the name Khalid al-Mihdhar a secret on January 5, 2000, the event noted in Footnote #44. I noted in the book “Prior Knowledge of 9/11” that perhaps Mihdhar and come into contact with Ali Mohammed when they both worked on the east African embassy bombings and the CIA wanted to Mihdhar’s name a secret to keep this from leading back to Mohammed. While Mohammed worked inside of both the CIA and the FBI while a high level al Qaeda terrorist, it is still hard to believe that both the Director of the FBI Louis Freeh and practically the entire ITOS unit at the FBI participated in many criminal actions to hide this information from the FBI criminal investigators on the Cole bombing because of this.

It is also hard to imagine why when Gillespie found out that both Mihdhar and Hazmi were inside of the US on August 22, 2001, information Wilshire had had since March 5, 2000, and communicated this information to both Dina Corsi and Tom Wilshire, both Wilshire and Corsi tried to keep this a complete secret from the FBI criminal investigators on the Cole bombing, even though both knew these terrorists were inside of the US in order to take part in a horrific al Qaeda terrorist attack.

But what is even more horrific is that when FBI Agent Steve Bongardt accidentally found out that both Mihdhar and Hazmi were inside of the US on August 28, 2001 and realized they were here in order to take part in an al Qaeda attack, Wilshire and Corsi then continued their conspiracy to shut down Bongardt’s investigation of Mihdhar and Hazmi knowing full well that their actions would result in the deaths of thousands of Americans.

The CIA knew that if Bongardt was allowed to investigate and search for Mihdhar and Hazmi, and then obtained the photograph of Bin Attash taken at the Kuala Lumpur meeting, he would have immediately been aware that the meeting Wilshire set up on June 10, 2001 in the FBI NY office with the CIA, FBI HQ agents and his FBI HQ Cole bombing investigators had been nothing more than a sting on his team only to find out what the Cole investigators knew about Mihdhar and Hazmi and the meeting in Kuala Lumpur. Bongardt would have realized immediately that when he asked at the June 10, 2001 meeting, who are these people in these photographs, the photographs of Mihdhar and Hazmi, and what did they have to do with the Cole bombing that both Shannon and Corsi already knew Mihdhar and Hazmi had been at the Kuala Lumpur meeting planning the Cole bombing. with Bin Attash

The CIA and FBI HQ agents that were involved with the CIA clearly knew if Bongardt were able to start an investigation and search for Mihdhar and Hazmi, many people at the CIA including Wilshire, Shannon, Black, Tenet, and people at FBI HQ including Middleton, Corsi, Rolince and even Director Louis Freeh and perhaps many many others would have gone to prison for many years for having criminally obstructed the Cole bombing investigation. In effect, the CIA and FBI HQ personnel put saving their skins and staying out of prison ahead of the lives of thousands of innocent Americans.

The book, Prior Knowledge of 9/11 which documented all of this was first published in Janaury 2007. Copies have been given to Paul Thompson, Kevin Fenton and Kyle Hence, but this book is now over two years old and is no longer in print after having sold out several printings.
