The Killing of Osama bin Laden by Seymour M. Hersh

"It’s been four years since a group of US Navy Seals assassinated Osama bin Laden in a night raid on a high-walled compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The killing was the high point of Obama’s first term, and a major factor in his re-election. The White House still maintains that the mission was an all-American affair, and that the senior generals of Pakistan’s army and Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI) were not told of the raid in advance. This is false, as are many other elements of the Obama administration’s account. The White House’s story might have been written by Lewis Carroll: would bin Laden, target of a massive international manhunt, really decide that a resort town forty miles from Islamabad would be the safest place to live and command al-Qaida’s operations? He was hiding in the open. So America said".

"There are also the varying narratives spun out by the White House in the days and weeks after the raid. Mr. Hersh’s story would probably have gained much less traction had it not been for the often contradictory details presented by the Obama administration after the raid, and the questions about it that remain unanswered".

Seymour Hersh Responds to White House, Media Backlash

Promoting a myth

Every time we use the scary, hairy caveman's name we multiply the myth that most of us realize can't be true. This endless debate about the Hollyweird murder of some unknown, maybe Pakistani, couch potato only serves to reinforce the ridiculous idea that he could have been responsible for the 9/11 nightmare.

This is equal to the constant regurgitation of the wimpy pilot patsies story where they overpower ex-military captains in a crowded cockpit and fly unassisted for 50 minutes through the most densely packed airspace on the planet.

Keep seeking the truth. Reject these petty squabbles.

I am with ya on that.

It is interesting to see this get a lot of play...now, currently.

Hersh Documents How a Bin Laden Double Is Killed (another Psy-Op

Just like the "28 PAGES", this hoax will get us no closer to the truth, but WILL shake peoples FAITH in their beloved myths and their beloved myth makers. This loss of faith and trust, for a great many will be the catalyst for intellectual growth as they begin to look deeper and think for themselves. That is the bright side. I have long said that any and every scandal, deception, Psy-Op exposed elevates us all.

Well said.

-...any and every scandal, deception, Psy-Op exposed elevates us all.

Does it really expose?

But does the Hersh piece really expose the psy-op? Might it not be illusory to expect that it will shake people's faith in what they've been told, when the ultimate message seems really to be not that the U.S. government lies, but--to the contrary, and under the guise of exposé--that there are limits to the kinds of lies it tells? While supposedly scornful of the official account, Hersh isn't contesting the essential claim that it was bin Laden who was killed at Abbottabad in 2011. Whatever risk there is in this stirred-up controversy in its portrayal of the untrustworthiness of the Obama administration--whatever its encouragement of public skepticism--could be more than offset by the reinforcement it provides for that basic claim. The expected pattern of thought (in true limited-hangout fashion) is, 'If someone as harshly critical of the Obama administration's lack of honesty as Seymour Hersh is doesn't show the slightest doubt concerning the basic claim about the identity of who was killed, and when and where he was killed, then it must be true. The administration must have been telling the truth about that, limiting its lies to certain other details, or else Hersh surely would have called them out on that as well.'

This could be an instance of what Chomsky was referring to when he observed, 'The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow lively debate within that spectrum.'

Or, in the words of one comment I found, in an interesting thread on this topic:

'To me there’s not a better form of propaganda than the form that sets itself up as the ALTERNATIVE to propaganda.'

How about...

Anytime a BOGUS "official story" comes into question is a good thing, unless it is only to supplant the truth with more obfuscation and misdirection.

Releasing the 28 pages will add information.

People can decide if the evidence supports it. The idea that these 28 pages will get us "no closer to the truth" is guaranteed to be wrong on some level. Science demands we take into account all available information. Does anyone really think this was a monolithic operation? Why would the different event coordinators need to know about each other? Where is the Saudi connection to Demolition Access?

Bin Laden: What Do We Really Know?

By Linh Dinh

May 16, 2015

Since September 11, 2001, Bin Laden had been mostly an absence. His few video or audio tapes were highly suspect, and speculations about his death had often surfaced. On July 11, 2002, Amir Taheri wrote in the New York Times, “Osama bin Laden is dead. The news first came from sources in Afghanistan and Pakistan almost six months ago: the fugitive died in December and was buried in the mountains of southeast Afghanistan [“] With an ego the size of Mount Everest, Osama bin Laden would not have, could not have, remained silent for so long if he were still alive. He always liked to take credit even for things he had nothing to do with. Would he remain silent for nine months and not trumpet his own survival?”

But save for one doubtful video, Bin Laden never took credit for 9/11. In fact, he repeatedly denied any responsibility for those mass murders. On September 28, 2001, he was interviewed by the Karachi Ummat, an Urdu language newspaper. The US Foreign Broadcast Information Service, a component of the CIA, translated:

[“] I have already said that I am not involved in the 11 September attacks in the United States. As a Muslim, I try my best to avoid telling a lie. Neither I had any knowledge of these attacks nor I consider the killing of innocent women, children, and other humans as an appreciable act. Islam strictly forbids causing harm to innocent women, children, and other people. Such a practice is forbidden ever in the course of a battle. It is the United States, which is perpetrating every maltreatment on women, children, and common people of other faiths, particularly the followers of Islam. All that is going on in Palestine for the last 11 months is sufficient to call the wrath of God upon the United States and Israel. There is also a warning for those Muslim countries, which witnessed all these as a silent spectator. What had earlier been done to the innocent people of Iraq, Chechnya, and Bosnia? Only one conclusion could be derived from the indifference of the United States and the West to these acts of terror and the patronage of the tyrants by these powers that America is an anti-Islamic power and it is patronizing the anti-Islamic forces. Its friendship with the Muslim countries is just a show, rather deceit. By enticing or intimidating these countries, the United States is forcing them to play a role of its choice. Put a glance all around and you will see that the slaves of the United States are either rulers or enemies [of Muslims]. The US has no friends, nor it wants to keep one because the prerequisite of friendship is to come to the level of the friend or consider him at par with you. America does not want to see anyone equal to it. It expects slavery from others. Therefore, other countries are either its slaves or subordinates [“] Whoever committed the act of 11 September are not the friends of the American people. I have already said that we are against the American system, not against its people, whereas in these attacks, the common American people have been killed [“] The United States should try to trace the perpetrators of these attacks within itself; the people who are a part of the US system, but are dissenting against it. Or those who are working for some other system; persons who want to make the present century as a century of conflict between Islam and Christianity so that their own civilization, nation, country, or ideology could survive [“] Then there are intelligence agencies in the US, which require billions of dollars worth of funds from the Congress and the government every year. This [funding issue] was not a big problem till the existence of the former Soviet Union but after that the budget of these agencies has been in danger. They needed an enemy. So, they first started propaganda against Usama and Taliban and then this incident happened. You see, the Bush administration approved a budget of $40 billion. Where will this huge amount go? It will be provided to the same agencies, which need huge funds and want to exert their importance. Now they will spend the money for their expansion and for increasing their importance. I will give you an example. Drug smugglers from all over the world are in contact with the US secret agencies. These agencies do not want to eradicate narcotics cultivation and trafficking because their importance will be diminished. The people in the US Drug Enforcement Department are encouraging drug trade so that they could show performance and get millions of dollars worth of budget. General Noriega was made a drug baron by the CIA and, in need, he was made a scapegoat. In the same way, whether it is President Bush or any other US President, they cannot bring Israel to justice for its human rights abuses or to hold it accountable for such crimes. What is this? Is it not that there exists a government within the government in the United Sates? That secret government must be asked as to who made the attacks [“]

Insightful!

Much of this is spot on.

MSM BS continues

Bin Laden was determined to attack the US again according to a NEWLY-RELEASED document today. Which just happens to come out 4 years after the raid and on the heels of the Hersh story which has gotten media traction. It never ceases to amaze me. It's like they have these cards that they play --- first a memo before 9/11 that OBL is determined to attack the US (Aug. 6 PDB) to set the stage for the false flag... and now a doc strategically released that he was about to hit us again.

Osama Bin Laden Was a 9/11 Truther
Why would the supposed mastermind behind the attacks be interested in conspiracy theories about September 11?

“In terms of the materials that are there, some of the things that we’ve found to be of note were that bin Laden was probably an avid conspiracy theorist,” a anonymous senior intelligence official told Buzzfeed. “Of the 38 full-length English-language books he had in his possession, about half of them were conspiracy theory books.”

It seems somewhat odd that Bin Laden would have a fascination with 9/11 conspiracy books which dispute the official narrative that he had masterminded the attack. If this was the case, the books would be nonsense and of no interested to the Al-Qaeda leader.

The other possibility is of course that the entire list has been completely fabricated, which is not an outlandish claim given huge suspicions surrounding the authenticity of the 2011 Bin Laden raid itself.

Has the list been concocted to smear “conspiracy theorists” as terrorist sympathizers? Or does it make sense that Bin Laden would be a ‘9/11 truther’? "

Around half of the books recovered after the alleged 2011 raid on Osama Bin Laden’s compound were about conspiracies, 9/11 and the Illuminati, according to newly declassified documents, begging the question – why would Bin Laden be interested in books about 9/11 conspiracy theories if he had masterminded the attack?

The following books were all recovered after the raid;

– America’s “War on Terrorism” by Michel Chossudovsky
– Crossing the Rubicon by Michael Ruppert
– New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions about the Bush Administration and 9/11 by David Ray Griffin
– The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly Hall (1928)
– Conspirators’ Hierarchy: The Committee of 300 by John Coleman
– Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins
– Bloodlines of the Illuminati by Fritz Springmeier
– Black Box Voting, Ballot Tampering in the 21st Century by Bev Harris
– The Best Enemy Money Can Buy by Anthony Sutton
– The Best Democracy Money Can Buy by Greg Palast
– Secrets of the Federal Reserve by Eustace Mullins
– Project MKULTRA, the CIA’s program of research in behavioral modification. Joint hearing before the Select Committee on Intelligence and the Subcommittee on Health and Scientific Research of the Committee on Human Resources, United States Senate, Ninety-fifth Congress, first session, August 3, 1977. United States. Congress. Senate. Select Committee on Intelligence.

BIn Laden was also in possession of an Internet article entitled Website Claims Steve Jackson Games Foretold 9/11, a reference to the card game that featured an eerily accurate prediction of a terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

This could be a separate entry.

I find this interesting. It is important news. And it is also "coincidental" that this release comes on the heels of Seymour's article.
(To me it says that the State Department wants to position these books with bin Laden. .... ha!!...I am surprised that the State Department did not include Seymour Hersh in bin Laden's library.)

Joe! OMG! That looks like your library!

Some good books on that list!

Such a staggeringly pathetic addition to the ongoing and ever swiftly crumbling public facade of major 9/11 untruths.

The more careless and obvious the slander, the more you can bet, our researched and reason diligence is paying off .

'Has the list been concocted to smear “conspiracy theorists” as terrorist sympathizers?'

It's not like they haven't tried it before. Alleged Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokar Tsarnaev was reported to be a skeptic of the 9/11 official story, as was the shooter of Congresswoman Giffords. Apparently, we're supposed to believe that anger about official lies concerning violence against U.S. targets leads to a desire to...carry out more violence against U.S. targets.

But even more bizarrely in this case, a man supposedly became a skeptic after the fact; allegedly carrying out crimes, then later becoming skeptical about his own alleged responsibility for those crimes.
