This guy, Hamilton, is an artist. What he has to offer, for those who don't want to think things through, is the little joy you get from the free space in Bingo, the Get out of Jail Free Card in Monopoly and capturing a pawn en passant in chess. Believe this guy and you are off the hook; you want to believe him in his measured and avuncular tones and if you do believe him, well, the truthers have been debunked. "Oh, that's been debunked." they say in the glib certainty of their rarefied knowledge when in fact they can truly only mean that something has been rebutted.

by making it sound like it was just a small, 30 story or so building, as if by making it sound small, that would better explain how it would succumb to the nearby destruction of the twin towers. That to me demonstrated a type of consciousness of guilt on his part.

He also talked as if they did investigate it and included it in their report, when in truth there was no mention of it whatsoever. It was conspicuously absent from the report, and that was the nature of the question as far as I understood it.

What a creep.

Edit to add: re: creep - on that score, his 9/11 Commission Chairman, Philip D. Zelikow, takes the cake. That dude actually envisioned and helped craft the very policy that caused 9/11 to be made to happen, on purpose - Google - "Catastrophic Terrorism, Imagining the Transformative Event - Elements of a National (freaking) POLICY", December 1998, the language of which went directly into the PNAC Proposal, "Rebuilding America's Defences, Strategy, Forces and Resources. For a New Century."

All the data is now in - it was a FAIL, with so much needless death and destruction, even to the present day with the radicalized ISIS militants filling the vacuum.
