New House Resolution Calls for Declassifying Secret Portion of 9/11 Report

New House Resolution Calls for Declassifying Secret Portion of 9/11 Report.
Wednesday December 4, 2013

Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) introduced a resolution this week in the House of Representatives urging President Barack Obama to declassify 28 pages of a joint House and Senate Intelligence Committee report that includes information concerning foreign governments' involvement in terrorist attacks in the US. The George W. Bush administration redacted the pages from the December 2002 report of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 2001.

Quietly Seeking Truth

My father-in-law, Wilson, was a very quiet man who worked hard to please the large, gregarious community of in-laws he lived among. Their opinions have always been forthright and boldly stated. Wilson, in contrast, made every effort to fit in. Had you met him you would not have guessed that this was the man whose job was to carry out the integration of public schools in the state of Georgia. He was truly the man in the middle. He officially worked for the Federal government, but was paid by the state. He was the man who had to go to each school district and convince them to accept the requirements of integration. The quiet effort of this former school superintendent and principal meant that Georgia's schools did accept integration relatively graciously. He is an unsung hero, not unlike Congressman Jones. Jones was the person who complained loudly about "french" fries being served in the Congressional cafeteria after the French opposed the invasion of Iraq. Subsequently, he stated plainly that he was wrong about the French and about his support for invading Iraq. For his willingness to publicly acknowledge errors of judgment in a town where that is never done and for this quiet effort to shine a light on 9/11 he is also a hero for me.

28 pages classified to protect the backsides of......

Q. What does the action of "redacting 28 pages" of foreign government involvement in 9/11" tell anyone with an iota of common sense?

Likely answer:
The guilty elements within those "foreign governments" may have communicated 9/11-related material and/or knowledge, prior to the attacks taking place, to officials inside the US. The classification or "redaction" of these pages is purely for the protection of said officials. Prior knowledge of the attacks in US law would be a surefire case of "accessory before the fact" to mass murder, terrorism, destruction of property, air piracy and more. In US law, "accessory before the fact" to a crime can garner the same criminal sentence as for actually committing the crime - and in the state of New York, the prosecution of such crimes could have called for the death penalty in that state in 2001 - perhaps still.

The redaction of such material is more than likely to protect the asses of certain people in both Saudi Arabia and the US - nothing to do with a genuine national security concern.

Is the war on terror really a dictatorship project?

If Graham is to believed the continued classification of the 28 pages is tantamount to aiding and abetting terrorists. What was the real purpose of the torture program? Or the kill list? Or the surveillance programs? After all these programs were justified on the basis of 9/11. Yet Graham is claiming that US officials deliberately covered up evidence that led to Saudi facilitation of 9/11. It doesn't compute for US officials to claim that police state powers were absolutely required to prevent terrorist attacks when obvious investigative leads were not followed.

JFKennedy said “For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence—on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.” ~John F. Kennedy April 27th, 1961

Every part of this conversation and every part of 911 runs through that quote. NSA algorithms, and that quote. Runs up against that power.
A monolithic and ruthless conspiracy.

Favorable Coverage of the Bill

There is very favorable coverage of this bill at the International Business Times website (see the link below). The comments are also very interesting...

Nothing published about these pages suggests that they contain info that would finally unravel the defense of the official report of what happen on 9/11. However, there is nothing like the right pebble to start a landslide.
