9/11 Victims Phones Tapped For Details in the Days Before 9/11/01 ?

You have to ask yourself why these reporters from News of the World were trying to get details of 9/11 Victims phone conversations before the atrocity of 9/11/01.
I find this ex-officer's (now private investigator) claim very interesting. What kind of details were they looking for from the phone conversations of victims leading up to the atrocity of 9/11/01. Here's the statement of the ex-officer followed with a link to the article:
"Now working as a private investigator, the ex-officer claimed reporters wanted the victim’s phone numbers and details of the calls they had made and received in the days leading up to the atrocity."

It seems to me that they are just saying that after 9/11 Fox asked the PI to dig up phone records from prior to the attacks.
A bit confusing there.

I recommend trying to make sure that your post titles are free of possible misinterpretations. This one has an absurd quality, which I'm assuming was not your intent.
But anyway, this whole topic is really shady.
This makes me recall the recent story about GZ first responders having to undergo background checks, with the implicit suggestion that they might be involved in some way.

After reading your post I agree with you. It wasn't my intent to confuse anyone with misinterpretations from my title. What I'm trying to say is that I think the attempt to get phone information from the victims phone records before 9/11 occured raises a lot of curious questions about what kind of information/details they were looking for.
