I felt so hopeless yesterday. I woke up this morning and went to work to earn some money. After class I went into the sauna and broke a good sweat. After that I went out by the pool to do some exercises for my neck injury. While there I thought of an eighteen year old woman who works there that I saw earlier. She seems to have very little knowledge of 9-11, the wars, and the many incarnations of the monster of power without awareness, ethics, concern for others, etc. I remembered the conversation that we had when she told me that she wants to be a social worker and that she wants to live simply sighting as her example that she now wants to have a family with two children instead of four. Then I noticed the sun and that I was being warmed and the sky and the sky was blue. Then I felt better and hopeful again. Then I thought that the truth of our existence and the universe must be beyond either of my perspectives of hope and hopelessness. Then I felt even better.
