The article makes the case that the scapegoat Ivins could not have made the anthrax used in the attacks since it had relatively high concentrations of silicon, which he could not have created.
I still believe that the anthrax case is one of the best opportunities for the 9/11 truth movement. The facts are relatively straightforward compared to 9/11. If it could be shown that the anthrax attacks originated from the US government or agents thereof, it would produce a massive shift in the public's thinking. People would then be forced to accept the fact that they have been lied to and the country was attacked through an inside job. That would open up, in my opinion, a huge opportunity to expose the truth about 9/11.

His top ten mysteries make no mention of molten steel, free-fall of WTC 7, NORAD stand-down, or in fact anything else that wrecks the official story.
Finally they notice
The official story about the anthrax attacks attributes them to a 'lone wacko,' someone who supposedly was able to carry them out without conspiring with others. While I don't rule out the possibility that Ivins may have had some involvement, it's clear that the attacks were the work of more than one person, and that the scapegoating of Ivins has been an outrageous sham. I don't see that this article, in arguing that the FBI's conslusions don't make sense, presents any information that is actually new. Nor is it the case that this information has never been reported before. What does strike me as new, though, is the prominence which this article in a major newspaper is now giving to this information, making the untenability of the FBI's case the main point of their story, rather than burying it several paragraphs in.
Still an open case? You bet it is!
Here's what's new
While the information about the presence of silicon and its implications--deliberate weaponization--was already known, what's new is that the FBI's attempts to argue that the silicon may have been added accidentally rather than deliberately have run up against the results of scientific tests. At the concentrations found in the Leahy letter, there's no way--these scientists are telling the FBI--that the silicon got there accidentally:
'What these tests inadvertently demonstrated is that the anthrax spores could not have been accidently contaminated by the nutrients in the media. "If there is that much silicon, it had to have been added," Jeffrey Adamovicz, who supervised Ivins's work at Fort Detrick, wrote to me last month. He added that the silicon in the attack anthrax could have been added via a large fermentor—which Battelle and other labs use" but "we did not use a fermentor to grow anthrax at USAMRIID . . . [and] We did not have the capability to add silicon compounds to anthrax spores."
And, as the article concludes, if the FBI can't find an answer to that, then they are back to square one in the anthrax investigation.

"There is no debating that the Senate powder was exceptionally pure and highly concentrated. Nor is there any doubt that it contained the Ames strain, one of the most virulent strains discovered. But what made it truly remarkable, according to biodefense specialists, was its conversion into a cutting-edge aerosol."
"More revealing than the electrostatic charge, some experts say, was a technique used to anchor silica nanoparticles to the surface of spores. About a year and a half ago, a laboratory analyzing the Senate anthrax spores for the FBI reported the discovery of what appeared to be a chemical additive that improved the bond between the silica and the spores. U.S. intelligence officers informed foreign biodefense officials that this additive was “polymerized glass.” The officials who received this briefing—biowarfare specialists who work for the governments of two NATO countries—said they had never heard of polymerized glass before. This was not surprising. “Coupling agents” such as polymerized glass are not part of the usual tool kit of scientists and engineers making powders designed for human inhalation. Also known as “sol gel” or “spin-on-glass,” polymerized glass is “a silane or siloxane compound that’s been dissolved in an alcohol- based solvent like ethanol,” says Jacobsen. It leaves a thin glassy coating that helps bind the silica to particle surfaces."

Frank Johnson, chief of AFIP’s Chemical Pathology Division, corroborated this in an interview. “There was silica there,” said Johnson, “there was no mistaking it.” Maj. Gen. John S. Parker, commander of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command at the time of the attacks, says he saw AFIP’s lab reports. “There was a huge silicon spike” consistent with the presence of silica, he says. “It peaked near the top of the screen.”

Rules of the game
1) There is no such thing as corruption. Only conspiracy theorists would dare challenge the unassailable notion that government officials always act in good faith.
2) Skepticism of official claims is not acceptable. Once the FBI makes a claim it is incumbent on the public to accept the claim.

Synchronization with 9/11
I've also always thought that the anthrax attacks are an excellent way to promote 9/11 truth. In them, Arabs were framed; and they have already been accepted as some kind of an inside job.
I find it interesting how hard the FBI has had to "play the detective" in the anthrax case, as compared to 9/11 "investigations". They have really had to play hard-working in the former.
Could that somehow - paradoxically - be related to the smaller scope of the event?
Or was it because the trail so quickly and forcefully led to inside circles, so that outsiders could not be summarily labelled guilty?
One question: is there strong evidence that the attacks were synchronized to occur soon after 9/11?

wait until I post my next article on NORAD at www.DNotice.org next week before you say again, "I still believe that the anthrax case is one of the best opportunities for the 9/11 truth movement." The article should be posted Tuesday evening, even though posting dates are always the first Wednesday of the month, assuming there's an article in any given month to be posted.
You and others in the 9/11 Truth Movement (and outside the movement) will be absolutely incredulous with what I've turned up on NORAD, but more incredible is WHERE I found it. It's a researcher's dream come true!
However, I do agree that the anthrax case is a good case to introduce strangers to 9/11 Truth.

John Farmer, who was the Senior Counsel for the 9/11 Commission, disclosed in his book: “at some level of the government, at some point in time…there was an agreement not to tell the truth about what happened... I was shocked at how different the truth was from the way it was described …. The [Norad air defense] tapes told a radically different story from what had been told to us and the public for two years. This is not spin.”
Yet spin it is.. as Farmer takes a plunge on book sales to deny any conspiracy to the lies, and then confirms the 'official version' of what happened.
Meanwhile many spineless antiwar activists continue losing ground as they continue to keep a distance from what is being used in the media and administrations to justify the bloated wars of treason - 9/11.
And meanwhile, the only person who went to jail for the criminal actions of financial banking systems was a whistleblower. The UK government made Dr David Kelly's autopsy and medical reports classified for 70 years. And while Obama deceives the public to this tragic agenda, more innocent lives are being blown away in foreign (poppy and energy rich) lands.
To counter act the murder of JFK and Warren Commission deception of the 1960's there was no internet. So maybe, there is a chance of turning this around.. Surely without such efforts as those posting on 911blogger, the memory hole would only get deeper beyond repair. thank you all for keeping the truth on this issue alive for now.
