April 2000: LIWA and Able Danger Face Trouble After LIWA Connects Prominent US Figures to Chinese Military
http://www.historycommons.org/context.jsp?item=a0400china#a0400china
"The study had connected future National Security Adviser and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former Defense Secretary William Perry, and other prominent US citizens to business transactions with Chinese military officials.(see Mid-1999-November 1999). [NEW YORK POST, 8/27/2005; OFFICE OF CONGRESSMAN CURT WELDON, 9/17/2005; US CONGRESS, 9/21/2005; WASHINGTON TIMES, 9/22/2005; WASHINGTON TIMES, 10/9/2005] One article on the subject will comment, “Sources familiar with Able Danger say the project was shut down because it could have led to the exposure of a separate secret data mining project focusing on US citizens allegedly transferring super-sensitive US technology illegally to the Chinese government.” [WTOP RADIO 103.5 (WASHINGTON)"

About Able Danger:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/08/12/AR200508...
"The dispute centers on a now-defunct Pentagon effort called "Able Danger," which the commission statement describes as a "link analysis" program that mapped connections among terrorist suspects and produced diagrams of terrorist networks. Weldon said the program was a planning effort assigned to the Special Operations Command by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to help the military "manipulate, degrade or destroy the global al Qaeda infrastructure.""

MANIPULATE, degrade OR destroy...al qaeda. It would seem the primary purpose being to manipulate- and degrade or destroy, if needed. And that Able Danger, while a useful tool, became dangerous as they couldn't stop it from linking high-level people with treason and other high crimes- the program was actually shut down and restarted a few times

Crime and Punishment

Hey Condi. Read "Crime and Punishment."
Sometimes the punishment meted out by the conscience is worse than any other justice.
Is it just me or does she seem to be losing her professional cool?
Maybe she actually does have a conscience and that conscience is listening to her accusers.
Cheney's behavior was also erratic recently as he played offense in response to his involvement in the torture issue.
Although he has no conscience, just a wish to keep a lid on all his other crimes.
IMHO:-)
