The comments as always divided between "Non Believers" posting nonsense and denial and rational, educated Truthers.

Besides that, the silence is deafening. The story does't got legs so far, and that means that the mainstream media is full of fear about this. How can we break loose the story?

Excellent point. "Become the media" & "We are the media".
Something that many people in the 9/11 Truth Movement fail to recognize is the fact that, given our resources, we have been EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE with the dissemination of information.
Those who have been around since 2005 or 2006, and who are still contacting people on the street, notice a significant change of public attitude and also growth in numbers towards 9/11 Truth.

The apparency that we are not making much headway is only because of mainstream media. The media creates an image that we are not rapidly expanding our ranks. It is a false created perception. The truth is that we have gained tremendous ground in the 9/11 Truth Movement. Stats are up for our side...big time.

This is a huge "guerilla" advantage for us. We are growing so fast (without mainstream media assistance), that even the dark forces do not realize it.

There is absolutely no doubt that, for the most part, mainstream media will always attempt to pervert or twist or "high-jack" the truth about 9/11. So, screw mainstream media as a gauge of success.

By us becoming the media, we also control the integrity surrounding 9/11 Truth. I encourage people to keep disseminating, to keep passing out DVDs & flyers, to continue posting blogs, and to also urge other Truthers not to fall prey to disappointment. Every action, small or large, counts. All these dissemination actions have a culmulative and exponential effect.

Marketing the truth....

Hey Tom, I believe you mentioned that you are in advertising or the marketing field and I wanted to get your take on how we can better send emails. I was once in a home business where I had a 'back office' that allowed me to send out great emails with eye-catching graphics, etc. The emails themselves were impressive even if one didn't click onto any links or visit any websites. And they were part of a campaign that followed up several times with the person/prospect. Wouldn't it be great if truthers had access to something like this? A site where they could access 6 or 7 professionally designed email "promotions" that could be sent out in bulk or individually forwarded to academia, experts, and ordinary citizens.

McGee, I like your idea. The price is right...almost 'no cost'. I do not know much about the effectiveness of email campaigns. Personally, I have emailed well over several thousand individuals, institutions, media, and firms promoting certain 9/11 Truth campaigns such as the recent "Thermitic Discovery in the Dust" or to architects & engineers (ex-> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GjXDwlPBJs ).

Most of my past experience has been non-internet promotion. Internet promotion seems the most cost-effective during this decade. However, it doesn't always reach different audiences well.

Per survey of customers, FLYERS have always been the most cost-effective promotion. With 9/11, DVDs would probably outrank flyers in delivering an effective message. I believe that the 9/11 Truth Community has gotten very creative in marketing. We are limited by funds and resources and channels of communication. Yet, we prevail in continuing to get the word out.
Contacting 1 person or 100 people...either is a win for our side.

TV ADS

First off, Tom-- a tip of the hat, sir. You do fantastic work for the movement. I agree that DVDs are the best way to inform someone who is willing to actually watch. I had a good association with the 911dvdproject for a couple of years and distributed hundreds myself in North Carolina.

Wow. Only $60 for a 30-sec spot on Discovery? It would be worth many times that to access cable TV--even off hours--- with TV spots. We simply need to spend a little to make this happen. In your estimation, what could be done with several thousand dollars? I'd like to see 30 second promos for Richard Gage's group. Bringing credibility via TV ads to one of our most credible proponents. Would the stations be receptive to let us advertise though, I wonder. If so, I'll chip in large.

TV - Yes.. It depends on the Channel and cable.

I should clarify. This is not nationwide, but rather a demographic and/or a metropolitan area. Sometimes you will see a major network TV station channel also have a sister channel which plays reruns, etc. Also, with cable you often can select a zip code type demographic area to run ads. One ad runs in one suburb while another ad plays in a different suburb.
I rarely watch TV now. Here is where to start. Watch different channels and programs and time slots in the area where you would like to advertise. Be alert to spots running which feature local area businesses, doctors, car dealers, training institutes, lawyers, etc. You will never get a low rate during the news, but there are many time slots and some programs available where the rates end up sweet.
Start with around $2,000-$5,000. (There are little tricks to this and the negotiations and what to watch out for on the deal, etc.) Call the advertising department of the channel or cable network in your metropolitan area. Tell them that you have 2 grand to spend and that you will spend more if things work well. (patter would be something along this line). They will start to work a package for you. Be familiar with the programming. Late night, rates are very good.
Make your own ad. This can save a lot of money. You can also be more effective in your message than the studio guys(unless they are aware). Ask what format they need. You will want to be clever on this ad script, so it does not get rejected. I suggest having the ad promote an event, but you slip in Building 7 collapsing...or some such thing in order to deliver a 9/11 Truth message. The event may also help you to recoup costs, but the kahoona is the actual 9/11 Truth message embedded in the ad. EX-->Our Dallas group is doing a big all day "Symposium on Building 7" event on 7/11 at a conference center, but funds are a problem in order to pull off an effective TV ad. We are trying to recruit monies.

Speaking of thermite in the dust

It seems there ought to have been a good deal of aluminum oxide in the dust, the biproduct of detonated thermite. Has that been confirmed?
