Paid "blog attack" armies flood blogs with comments
As a 9/11 truth activist, I read a fair amount of what is written about 9/11--whether in the mainstream media, the alternative media, or on sites that I have learned to trust. Frequently the comments are polarized: those of us who know the awful truth and another group, much angrier, seemingly younger and MUCH less well educated: those who are enraged that anyone would even SUGGEST that the government lied to us about 9/11.
Who are these people who are apparently oblivious to the hundreds of well documented lies from the Bush administration?
Here's a clue. A company that advertises blog armies to "flood the zone with comments from professionals who are ready to put your talking points on the blogosphere 24/7." Next time you're engaged in a nasty debate with a devotee of the OCT, who seems to have unlimited amounts of time to rebut your every point in the most scathing way possible, you might just be arguing with a member of one of these paid blog armies.

their website has been taken down
As of yesterday morning (first someone alerted me to it) their site is down. Going to that URL now brings up a page that reads:
"Account for domain advantageconsultants.org has been suspended"
I had last accessed their page Monday, Jan 5 at 7:30 EST, when I copied their ad. Fewer than five days later, their site is down.
Too much unwanted publicity, perhaps?

I think many of these paid blog trolls use JREF as their headquarters. I think the people who preempt the comments sections of 9/11 articles are primarily from JREF. Of course, not EVERY "debunker" is paid - I'm sure a few do it for free - but you can tell who is paid by how prolifically they do it. People who post on JREF 8,000 times in one year are not doing it for free, imo.

Over on Alternet I've run all but two or three off during the last year of "debate" in the comments section.
With the help of a few others, the Alternet readers have solidly come over to the 9/11 truth camp and Alternet has been exposed to all as a significant gatekeeper on the issue with the Taibbi- Griffin "showdown" being the last straw for many regarding Alternet's credibility.
While I don't spend as much time there as I once did, I am presently hammering down the last of the somewhat rhetorically competent "debunkers" at
Alternet.
The main reason I engage these people is so that others reading the comments will get information and links they would not otherwise get, to not let obviously bogus assertions remain unchallenged and to show the continuing relevance of 9/11 truth.
While not everyone's cup of tea, civility is always key.

We do it for free cause we "carry the sword of truth." (That phrase was used about me by a former spiritual teacher and I like it!)
I also have posted many comments in various places to counter the lies of our opposition.

Griffin did fine there.
Dr. Griffin did as well as he could with the idiot Taibbi,
but Alternet intentionally hamstrung him by pairing him with such a poor excuse for a "journalist".
Alternet and its writers/editors (particularly Joshua Holland, who I've had a long running dialogue with) have refused to allow an unbiased article making the case against the government's conspiracy theory and continually post articles that are biased, based on selective information and/or contain provably wrong information. Even though the great majority of their readers (or commenters) are pro-9/11 truth.
I noticed a distinct change in the attitude of many who comment there during the last year, more and more people realized that Alternet was not an objective, alternative, "progressive" source for news and commentary.

As you know, I have locked horns with debunkers on Amazon, primarily in response to the attack reviews of DRG's books. "Debunking 9/11 Debunking" drew the particular ire of debunkers and there was a clear blitz by them to pile on several one-star reviews to the book. Since customer reviews are open to a comments thread, I primarily debated them there. It was indeed gratifying to see my comments receive feedback like "10 of 10 think this post adds to the discussion" while the debunkers comments were buried with negative votes. In addition to defending Griffin's work, I also debated the debunkers on Amazon's customer reviews of the Popular Mechanics book. It's nice to see that PM's book has an average rating of three stars, even though it has 137 reviews, whereas DRG's D911D has only 76 reviews, including a string of troll attack reviews, yet the average rating is still four stars. :-) PM's book has 50+ one-star reviews and it's because the book is such transparent propaganda, not because of a coordinated troll attack.

That was the month of my wake-up. I had ended up on Paul Craig Roberts' website, he praised the New Pearl Harbor, and I got the book right away and did nothing but read it for two days. I was convinced before I was even half done with the book. And this was the first I had heard there was an "alternate" theory about 9/11! So my mind was truly blown in the space of about 3 days.
I didn't welcome this news. I had a feeling of "why me?" Why did I have to find this out? What of all my plans? Cause this changed everything and it wasn't a change I was looking for.
I didn't want to know, but neither could I deny the evidence.
It meant a lot to me to go on Amazon and find someone who had also woken up. Cause at the time I didnt' know a single other soul who had seen through the illusion and none of my friends wanted to hear about it. My next door neighbor, who I saw every day, actually said to me, "don't mention this again. It is too upsetting, I don't want to think about it."
