It should be obvious to anyone with any sense of blog or messageboard etiquette that registering multiple user IDs to prop up your own arguments is not acceptable here, or anywhere else.

stallion4 and other users here have suggested that some people are effectively sock-puppeting for the Shell Game. I'm going to review the IP logs, and multiple users from a single IP will be blocked.

Is there anything you can do to cut down with the multiple posts everyday, pushing this book? Isn't one thread a day on this topic more then enough?

some folks are bothered by the multitude of Shell Game posts . . . I am not . . . but just because you "feel" it looks bad or it bothers you doesn't mean that multiple posts in this specific case isn't the best course of action as far as getting the message out. i feel the same way about Jesse Ventura, William Pepper, David Ray Griffin and Richard Gage.

i would suspect that most people don't go into the comment sections anyway and once a post is off the front page it is out of site.

bill douglas does venture into the realms of over-kill . . . but then again he has a hell of a product . . probably the most powerful tool we have for reaching "newbies".

preaching to the choir is not where it's at.

Bad idea ..

I fully understand why you would want to do that and I agree that it is bad conduct to "bump"
your own posts using multiple accounts but ..
You (and I do mean "you", "they" can !) can NOT positively identify a "person" by the IP .
As an example there is a thing called "dynamic IP" where different people are assigned IP's from
a pool "owned" by their ISP .
Also, people who know about the extent of the Big Brother snooping on the internet might use
proxy-servers or VPN-services to access this site . I know I do and I don't come here if the proxy or VPN isn't available .
This is because of draconian "anti-terror laws" in my country that requires my ISP to log all sites I visit and give our "intelligence service"
access to the logs without a court-order . Other people might use the same service as I do and it is therefore entirely possible that
different accounts can post from the same IP .

The IP address is of course...

Compared with the user log-in/out chronology.

It's pretty accurate in that case.

Not to mention multi-poster households

Where husbands and wives and boyfriends and girlfriends and roommates and such use the same computer.

For that reason, and those that you mention, and others, "IP Blocking" (and "tracing"/identification) and things like that do not work. (as one soon finds out if you run a discussion forum for any length of time, or know much about how the Internet works)
