Kurt Nimmo blogs on Jane Harman, H.R. 1955, and RAND. On Monday, it is time to call your Senators, and at least let their staffers know that you have have concerns about this bill. I want to echo aayers call to action, and note that it is H.R. 1955 that sits in the Senate waiting to be voted on, not 1959, which is a ditto bill. I want to suggest that we concentrate our communications on two key Senators who have made strong stands against the grain on key issues involving Civil Liberties. Senator Robert Byrd, and Senator Bernie Sanders. If you can think of any other Senators worth spending time on, list them in the comments bin. -rep.

According to Jessica Lee of Indypendent and Kamau Karl Franklin of the Center for Constitutional Rights, the Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act was penned with plenty of help from the RAND Corporation.
“Rep. Jane Harman, Democrat from California, has had a lengthy relationship with the Rand Corporation,” Lee tells Democracy Now, although she was unable to determine if RAND wrote the bill. On the 12th anniversary of the OKC bombing, Rep. Harman, as chair of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Intelligence, Information Sharing and Terrorism Risk Assessment, introduced the bill in the House of Representatives...

Here we have a good exemple of someone asking the radio host a 911 question very correctly and very politely. Listening to the mp3 will help and encourage us others to do the same thing.
By recording these calls and putting them on the web, we can learn world wide some good techniques on debating, build up our debating capacities in order to make the radio hosts give us the opportunity to air our analyses of the 911 events

Jane Harman's bill provides that we can be investigated for demonstrating in support of the Constitution.
Jane Harman's mouthful of balderdash, the "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act," (no kidding, that's what its called) has passed the House 404-6 and is set to pass in the Senate, as reported in an article at Common Dreams by Ralph Shaffer and William Robinson. The authors point out some of the insidious effects of the bill.
The Act "creates a commission with investigative power and a mandate to propose laws prohibiting whatever the commission labels 'homegrown terrorism.'" The commission has the power to hold hearings, take testimony and administer oaths.
Harman's proposal includes an attack on the internet, "criticizing it for providing Americans with 'access to broad and constant streams of terrorist related propaganda and legalizes infiltration of targeted organizations.'" That last part means they can slip a spy into our organization, we the people, to report back on our nefarious plans to demonstrate in support of the Constitution.

Sometimes the house will vote for something ridiculous like this knowing the Senate will kill it. Its there way of earning their contributions.
That being said, we should man the phones and make sure the Senate shoots this down.
And who were the handful that voted against this. My guess is that Kucinich and Paul were two of them. They always vote against unamerican stuff.

Rep. Kucinich did vote against it, I think Rep. Ron Paul was out of town as he is not listed as one of the six who voted against it.
I know that sometimes the House sends things to the Senate that they know will get voted down, that's Politics 201 in D.C., I don't think that is the case here. The establishment is genuinely concerned about the progress 9/11 truth is making with the general public.

Personally
I think this goes well beyond the truth movement. Sorry for sounding a little too conspiratorial, but I think this has been planned for some time. With the Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, the John Warner D.A. Act, and now this, if you protest 9/11, the war, the rape of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and/or Taser-happy cops, then w/ these laws they can basically do anything they want, including:
tap your phone/internet and gather records
find out what books you've checked out from the library or purchased
break into your home and seize anything they want
even pick you up off the street and hold you indefinitely w/ out admitting to anyone (even family) that they've taken you -- and you cannot challenge your own unlawful detention.

The war on terror is, imo, a total fraud, and quite possibly a dry-run for taking this place over by force. All our elected federal officials take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution and 95% of them have taken part in destroying it's most vital components. For a while people have been saying that we're heading toward a police state, but when you look at what they've done over the past few years ... it looks to me like we're already living in one. All they had to do was create a bunch of anti-terrorism laws -- which would get a lot of support -- then expand the definition of terrorism. That's what this does.

Right, but it hasn't officially been declared yet. Incremental stages are still ongoing, however we now find ourselves living within the FINAL stages. I have no doubt that the tyrannts in power now want to make it somehow official. Martial Law following some sort of false-flag attack will most likely be the key toward that end. And then...the "grand unveiling". We now live in a semi de-facto state of dictatorship. It hasn't been written on paper...yet. The masses of brainwashed TV watching Americans are still completely and utterly oblivious to what is taking place. When THEY find out, that's when we can say "yup, we're now living in a fascist police-military state". What we need to do is stall the "unveiling" for as long as we possibly can.
This legislation is about the 911 perps protecting themselves
The perpetrators of 911 and their allies need to protect themselves from those who have seen through what they are doing and are brave enough to say something about it. It seems that these police state style laws are designed and proposed to do just that and they are obviously using the terrorist angle to smear anyone who threatens to expose them to the greater public.
I think they really jumped the gun by putting ae911truth.org in that presentation and it shows that they are unnerved by the groundswell of professionals looking for legitimate answers as to what really occurred on Sept. 11, 2001.
Are some members of Congress really that dumb to be conned by the perpetrators of 911 and their allies?
After all 911 appears to have been an inside job so who are the real homegrown terrorists? Why isn't Congress asking that question?

On November 6, CSPAN aired a hearing of the Homeland Security Subcommittee's "Terrorism and the Internet" which stated purpose was to attempt to identify and focus on the use of the internet by "home grown terrorist recruiters." The hearing was chaired by California democrat Jane Harman, sponsor of the infamous HR 1955, "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007", and ranking Republican, Rep. Dave Reichert.
This event generated quite an uproar in the 9/11 Truth and civil liberties communities because of testimony by panelists conflating two very distinct and unconnected groups -- the 9/11 truth movement with jihadi terrorists. What generated the most buzz -- and condemnation -- was a powerpoint demonstration from Mark Weitzman of the Simon Weisenthal Center, whose powerpoint presentation titled "Internet: Incubator of 9/11 Conspiracies and Disinformation" showed a video of building 7 collapsing as well as a screenshot of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth's website in between websites which featured bomb-making techniques and a terrorist's training manual.
For anyone who has visited ae911truth.org you will see that Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth is as far from a terrorists' recruitment website as you can get. Just click on the "About Us" button and you will read this copy:
"We are a non-partisan association of Architects, Engineers, and affiliates, who are dedicated to exposing the falsehoods and to revealing truths about the 'collapses' of the WTC high-rises on 9/11/01.

With 65% of Americans disgusted with Bush, 51% that want a new 911 investigation, and 67% wondering what the hell happened to building 7, I think the backfire will be more than overwhelming! Unfortunately, in this administration, stupidity runs amok. They keep making mistake after glaring mistake. Their incompetence is laughable. Even in 9/11 related events, such as the magical passports that happened to show up at every crime scene, I really have to snicker and shake my head. I don't think American citizens will be accepting of having their neighbors, friends and colleagues locked up for speaking out against Bush Corp. crimes. Check out the slideshow on Huffingtonpost today on all of the allies backing out of Iraq. Bush is a lonely little boy with no one to play with but himself :)

Looking a little ahead of this, it appears that B'nai Brith's ADL is at least involved heavily in this. Why else would then the NYPD give recommendations as to how effective this is ?

Why the large majority in combination with a vote under suspension of the Rules ? Why so many of the important Rep. out of town for such a crucial Issue?
Does this not show, that they all know, from which Camp this Law comes from ? That they are unable to deny this Bill so to speak and all agree to indirectly sponsor it. It's not only the brainless Lobbying Mentality that has prevailed in Congress for the last Decades I think.
However, the most powerful Figure on the Trustee's Board of RAND seems to be Frank Carlucci (CFR, and a couple of other powerful connections )

I think for this important Bill, the Lobby that commissioned the Bill, is above RAND.
Where is the missing link, between this and the KBR commissioned "Endgame Plan Document" ?
