Recently, Iowa pastors gathered to hear my presentation in Des Moines on behalf of Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul. After listening to me, they then heard ten-term Republican Texas Congressman Ron Paul himself.
Consider how Congressman Paul's message impacted Pastor Jim Hartman of the Assembly of God church in Conrad, Iowa. "I've been supporting Mike Huckabee, but I would say I'm leaning real strong toward Ron Paul." Hartman supported President Bush four years ago and explained, "Up until the last six months I had not allowed myself to imagine that hwe'd been let down by Bush." As for Iraq, he said, "I don't think we were prepared to understand that culture and to work with that culture." He said he now feels "humble and I feel kind of bad that I haven't done a better job of being faithful to Ron Paul's kind of integrity." [Source: MSNBC, Oct. 30, 2007]
Integrity: that is the issue drawing millions to Ron Paul, including young people. The night before I spoke, nearly 700 students gathered at Iowa State University in Ames to hear Dr. Paul. One of those students wrote me recently. His name is Nathan Rockman. He wrote, "As a columnist for the Iowa State Daily here on campus, I have seen first hand what can be described as Ron Paul fever. Since Dr. Paul visited this past Friday, his message of freedom and liberty has been spreading through campus like wildfire . . ."
Ron Paul doesn't recruit artisan spin writers and bloggers to wear down those who might question his past dealings. He doesn't need to. There are no missing hard-drives, ethics violations, and taxpayer funds used for personal use that need to be spun away. He still refuses to participate in the lucrative Congressional pension fund and returns a portion of his Congressional office budget back to the U.S. Treasury each year.
This kind of integrity moved Pastor Hartman, the students at Iowa State University, and many more like them.
Ron Paul has been fighting for the right to life from the beginning of his public career. Dr. Paul is rock-solid on pro-life. After all, he has helped over 4,000 women deliver their babies into the world in his obstetrics practice in Lake Jackson, Texas. He proposed the "Sanctity of Life Act of 2005" (and 2007), which would require that "human life shall be deemed to exist from conception, without regard to race, sex, age, health, defect, or condition of dependency." Has he recently discovered these pro-life convictions? Not at all. Congressman Paul introduced the Human Life Amendment in Congress in his very first term of Congress, a couple of years after Roe v. Wade was first handed down.
Is Ron Paul a libertarian, as some use in a throw-away line, often intended to move the listener to discard him without thought? Yes, on areas of fiscal, economic and judicial liberty, he is. But, he is also a social conservative and a Constitutionalist.
Ron Paul's priorities are right with marriage. He and his wife, Carol, have been married for more than fifty years. He believes marriage should be between a man and a woman and defends that principle with his vote, where and when he has the Constitutional authority to do so. For example, Dr. Paul strongly supports the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Candidly, though, Ron Paul does not believe (and neither do I) that the U.S. Government needs to be defining that which God has already defined in His Word.
Where pastors often become confused about Ron Paul is that when he is resisting the unconstitutional centralization of our federal government, he is often perceived as being anti-family. Many in these pro-family movements themselves have been co-opted into believing that the solutions to our family problems come in the form of more unconstitutional federal legislation and programs. And when one does not agree with these unconstitutional remedies, they conclude that he or she is "anti-family." Such people mean well but are confused.
America would be much better off if we Christian pastors taught the need for Christ-honoring resistance--at the local level--to anti-family federal intrusions. We should call on our congregations to vote out of office any judge who passes rulings designed to pervert the Biblical family. That doesn't take a Constitutional amendment. It just takes courageous pastors and people who understand that judges, too, must respect the Constitution and our Christian heritage.
In fact, adherence to the Constitution protects our freedom of speech and assembly; our freedom of worship; our right to keep and bear arms; our right to a trial by jury; the right to be secure in our own homes against police overreach; our right to witness for Christ in public, as a Christian; the right to own property; the right to not be deprived of life or property without due process of law; the right to face our accusers, and the right to keep government local and limited.
Keeping government local and limited is the cornerstone doctrine of American government. Ron Paul understands this more than any other candidate running today.
Most of the problems that we are now dealing with socially, culturally, financially, etc., stem from America abandoning the basic founding principle that "the government that governs least governs best."
Accordingly, America's commitment to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness has been (and is being) systematically stripped from us--not by State legislatures, but mostly by agencies of the federal government.
Consider how it has been federal courts that have banned prayer in school, and legalized abortion and homosexual marriage. Even in the liberal State of Massachusetts it was the courts (along with a compliant liberal governor, Mitt Romney), that forced acceptance of homosexual marriage upon the people.
The solutions to these problems do not reside in more federal legislation. All that does is strengthen the scope and power of the federal judiciary.
The only ones who have anything to fear from Ron Paul are those who believe in Big Government.
You see, Ron Paul is actually calling on us pastors and Christians to stop seeing the federal government as one "in whom we live and move and have our being." Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord, not the federal government. Have we not, in a material way, set up the federal government as our functional Lord and Savior? When we look to the federal government to solve our moral and spiritual problems, that is exactly what we are doing.
When it comes to the war in Iraq, I firmly believe that Christian conservatives have been duped by the neocons. Dr. Paul--an Air Force veteran and proponent of a strong national defense--opposed the unprovoked and pre-emptive invasion of Iraq, and rightly so. Time has certainly vindicated Dr. Paul's principled position. There was a much better way to deal with al-Qaeda.
Soon after 9/11, Congressman Paul introduced H.R. 3076, the September 11 Marque and Reprisal Act of 2001. According to Paul, "A letter of marque and reprisal is a constitutional tool specifically designed to give the president the authority to respond with appropriate force to those non-state actors who wage war against the United States while limiting his authority to only those responsible for the atrocities of that day. Such a limited authorization is consistent with the doctrine of just war and the practical aim of keeping Americans safe while minimizing the costs in blood and treasure of waging such an operation."
This is precisely what President Thomas Jefferson did when America's ships were confronted with Barbary pirates on the high seas.
If the United States government had listened to Ron Paul, we would not have lost nearly 4,000 American soldiers and Marines, spent over $1 trillion, and gotten bogged down in an endless civil war from which there is no equitable extraction. Furthermore, had we listened to Dr. Paul, Osama bin Laden would no doubt be dead, as would most of his al-Qaeda operatives, and we would be less vulnerable to future terrorist attacks, instead of being more vulnerable, which is the case today.
One thing that Pastor Hartman brought up in our meeting in Iowa was the sentiment of many Christians and pastors to defend Israel. Dr. Paul stated that he did not believe that we do Israel any favors and we actually weaken Israel by our constant meddling and intervention. I agree.
Ron Paul is not Israel's enemy. And neither is he the enemy to Christian liberty and constitutional government.
Ron Paul's non-interventionist and constitutional foreign policy approach would help, not hurt, Israel to resolve tensions with their neighbors. Remember, Israel has more nuclear missiles to defend themselves than all of the Middle East nations combined. Believe me, Israel knows how to defend itself. And know this: America's constant meddling curses Israel more than it blesses.
Also consider this: according to published reports such as this one in the Houston Chronicle(http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/politics/5223477.html), Ron Paul is receiving more donations from military personnel than any other Presidential candidate in either party. Think seriously about this. Our active duty and retired military personnel clearly endorse with their own contributions Ron Paul's non-interventionist position above all others.
In the end, if the candidate is a sincere Christian, he will all the more readily obey his or her oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. After all, does not our Lord tell us that our yea is to be yea and our nay is to be nay? In other words, genuine believers are to be true to their word. How, then, could a true Christian make a promise before God and the American people to preserve, protect, and defend the U.S. Constitution and then turn around and ignore that promise?
Ron Paul lives his Christian faith and takes his oath to the Constitution seriously. What more could we ask for in a Presidential candidate? Every Christian pastor should seriously consider Congressman Ron Paul. Here is his website: www.ronpaul2008.com

I love these guys. I love this movement.
But now what?
Unless this movie makes into actual theaters, and unless some big name people like Bruce Willis start running their mouths, instead of being a coward, which is what Willis is to me, then what's the point.
I think everyone fails to appreciate that we only have a limited window of opportunity, here.
I can tell you this - when the next event happens there will be no Loose Change. There will be no 911blogger, or PrisionPlanet, or 911Truth, AE911Truth - they will all be gone!
We are running out of time and sitting around waiting for the final cut of this or that, or anything, means absolutely nothing if we break through and touch main stream America.
I applaud these guys for all the effort that they've put into this, but my question is now what?
I've been burning and copying Loose Change and 911 Mysteries for 2 years (as many of us have) and we feel that we've made some progress, but it's TOO SLOW!!!!
If we don't get this into theaters I fail to see what the point of the exercise was about. I already had a copy of this and I've already been burning it and giving it out. If we don't advance the cause beyond giving away newer, updated versions of this film, then the LC guys might as well not have bothered.

That's what the entire point of this film was up until a few months ago: to get it released into theaters across the country. Then suddenly that "plan" was seemingly abandoned without much fanfair. I love the Louder than words crew, and applaud all their efforts, but this needs to be a much bigger phenomenon than was Loose change 2nd edition. Soccer moms and their a.d.d. afflicted kids need to see this movie. The fact that Charlie Sheen conveniently bowed out at the last minute is disheartenly (yet not surprising) enough. This movie needs to get as much publicity as it possibly can and I'm simply not seeing it.

Are you surprised? I never thought this film would get into the big theaters. Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 911 barely did.
It doesn't matter though. The first Loose Change has been viewed by more people than have seen Denzel Washington's
hit movie American Gangster (So far).
This movie is a lot better than the first LC. I can tell from the trailer. Between DVD and internet distribution, I suspect as
many people will end up seeing it as Star Wars III. We could do a lot worse.

I said this before and I'll say (write) it again: Loose Change: Final Cut needs to aim for at least an Academy or Golden Globe award nomination for best documentary!!! (To win would of course be better.)

BTW, not a single truther has ever responded to my comments about this. I begin to wonder if many of you simply think that if Loose Change were, for example, competing for the Oscar for best documentary, it wouldn't stand a chance of winning.

I don't think the producers decide whether to enter their movie into the running for an Oscar. Doesn't the Motion Picture Association or whatever make those decisions? I'm not sure.

Generating buzz about the film could be an excellent way for the multitude of closeted truthers in Hollywood to do some good and begin to dismantle the Hollywood Nuremberg defense: "But I had to consider the effect of bad publicity on my career. "

At the very least, the movie has to have a theatrical release (I think).
One good example of my previous point is Fahrenheit 9/11. It was slated to compete in the best documentary category until Michael Moore decided to go for best picture. It wasn't nominated for the position but if your suggestion is correct, Michael Moore could only have taken what was given him and not be choosy. It would seem that some latitude is provided to applicants for the various competition categories of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
My main point, if it wasn't clear before, is that something like a DVD release might jeopardize LCFC's future chances of competing for some of the most coveted awards. (And then again, it was already screened in NY, so maybe a DVD release wouldn't hurt anything after all.)

As far as I know, there are tens of millions of Americans who know that the official 9/11 story is a lie. They also understand the consequences of that.
Even if the majority of Americans knew, the mainstream media and the politicians could just keep pretending that nothing is wrong.
Perhaps peaceful protests by several millions of Americans in the streets of New York and Washington could effect a change. In the light of the above, I don't see such gatherings as exactly impossible. So why are such protests not happening?

I realise how hard you are working Dylan. Jason, Korey, your good self and the rest of the Loose Change crew have been working hard facing a mountain of difficulties to get the word out.
We need to rally around and support you the best we can instead of criticising over small issues.
It is up to us to distribute the video and ALL the information it has to people around us.
Theatrical Launch is NOT EASY as the Big Monied Corporate Media will try to block this as much as they can.
Just as the Loose Change crew was blocked from appearing on the View so subtly, that William Rodriguez had to call of that event. At least that is my understanding.
We need to plan alternatives just in case. Organize our own theatrical releases perhaps by using projectors, getting permisison prior to that from the LCFC crew and renting halls or rooms for our own theatres.
We could also try to rent theaters and conduct our own independent screenings.
Of course such activities should be organized with agreements and the approval of the LCFC crew.
Its just a suggestion in case a Formal Theatrical Launch is BLOCKED BY THE MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL-FAKE MEDIA-COMPLEX.
Lets work together with the LCFC. Ultimately our goal is BUILD PUBLIC AWARENESS over the serious questions raised about 911 and to SHIFT PUBLIC OPINION.
There are so many ways we can use THIS WONDERFUL TOOL THE LCFC CREW have given us.
We have to engage this Wicked Cabal that carried out 911 from many angles & even grassroots screening of Loose Change Final Cut will MAKE AN IMPACT.
Imagine a million grass-roots activists screening THEIR OWN SCREENING OF LCFC ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES.
Of course, this should be with the approval and with agreements with the LCFC crew.

Auspicious Refocusing Of The 9/11 Lens
This will be an iconic American film. Final Cut will have a life of its own and create many opportunities for the truth to be revealed. A momentum has been building of late and this historical work could collapse the BushCo house of death cards. The relatively high production value of this film will speak authoritatively to a population aged on film culture. The American population is also solidly against the current administration which was not the case when 2nd Edition was released. This is "On The Road" with a massive historical agenda.

These are my impressions:
Too long and too disjointed, unfocused.
Point by point:
1) "Louder than Words" title -- speed up, perhaps make a very quick camera movement that compresses down to a few seconds. Eliminate unnecessary audio.
2) Ray McGovern is not identified with a graphic.
3) Able Danger not readily understandable from the text. Who is "we?"
4) "Where's the beef?" No linking to the context is provided. We don't know exactly what he's talking about or why.
5) "Throw them all out..." What the hell is that about?
6) "May have attended schools run by us military?" May? That's not strong. That doesn't enlighten. A lot of these claims have been explained away. You need the one that HASN'T.
7) "Trillion dollar ... could fail" Not a good quote at all. The money is not correlated to performance. The public already accepts that it "failed." This is not provocative and is more fodder for being dismissed.
8) "SEADS CONCPET PROPOSAL" not explained. Not tied to real world. Could be better. If you have the "gotcha" evidence, make sure it's clear what it means.
9) "Tell us about the wargames" is inaudible and just a disruption. Doesn't prove anything, just shows how "truthers" are disruptive and get thrown out a lot, which is bad for us lately.
10) Secretary Transportation Norman Mineta NOT IDENTIFIED. His testimony is not labelled as such, and the fact it was cut from their report not mentioned.
11) Light poles not relevant -- except that the CIT people say they were faked (not proven). The claim is that the black box of Flight 77 (suspect) shows the plane flew over the pentagon on the wrong trajectory, and that light poles were staged. Probably not a good idea to get into this at all.
12) The difficulty of the Pentagon manuevre is in dispute. Some random bearded guy talking about what a bad driver he is is beyond irrelevent. He "can't imagine." So what?
13) Cut the "what hit the pentagon." This has destroyed credibility in the past. There is an entire industry now attacking you for this. At least leave it out of the trailer, so that can't be attacked up front.
14) Scottish guy not identified.
15) Bald guy not identified.
16) Af. American woman not identified.
17) Old guy not identified. Flight 93 claim not central to anything. Cut.
18) Barry Jennings all cut up, disjointed audio. Never substantiates that the "explosion" wasn't one of the towers collapsing.
19) Yelling guy claims "Your government funded and trained Al Qaeda." Why no substantiation? If you're going to make a bold claim, you need more than a raving nut character being pulled from an auditorium to have it stick.
You have to accept that you're not preaching to the choir, but trying to attract ignorant people who need reasons to be hooked in. They also need to get over your credibility issues, that were the subject of numerous articles and TV shows. You are fighting an uphill battle that can't be won by obfuscation and music. You need to provide "the beef" and in a very upfront, easily accessible way that makes the case point after point. Not maybes, no innuendo, no issues that aren't really important, no raving nut types. Make the case 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...

I think you misunderstand . . .
While I don't think your frustrated comments were directed at me, I'd nonetheless like to point out that my small criticism of you guys for not (first) getting a complete theatrical release for Loose Change: Final Cut (but I know you tried) has simply been to hammer home the idea that I think your movie is Oscar worthy; i.e., that, if given the chance, I really REALLY think it will WIN!!!
I guess I'll have to write the the Oscar fellas myself and see what's up with the situation as it stands (if you don't mind, of course). Surely the Academy Awards process was never meant to contribute to censorship and oppression -- the likes of which have obviously been created by the FOX News channel and its "Mother Night" commentator, Bill O'Reilly.

I think most of the criticisms posted above were spot on. The film looks sharp and I really appreciate what you guys have done, but I think the trailer in its current form is easily dismissed by people who aren't open to looking at the issue.
It's funny, I occasionally have moments of doubt that maybe I am crazy and have simply tied together ambiguities and coincidences into what I want to believe, like the OCT defenders often claim. Unfortunately, the new Loose Change trailer triggered one of those moments.
Anyway, good work, but stay open to fresh perspectives with valid observations.

Darkhorse presidential hopeful Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) will hold a nationwide conference call Monday night centering on his plan to force a vote as to whether Vice President Dick Cheney should be impeached.
In an announcement last week, Kucinich said he would bring a "privileged resolution" on the matter to the House floor Tuesday, a maneuver which would require a vote from all House members -- and allows him to act in spite of protestations from Democratic leaders, who don't want a vote to come to the floor, according to Politico's Ryan Grim.
Tonight's call, according to a press release, will address "why and how" Kucinich plans to bring about the vote.
"Dozens of supportive organizations have advised the Kucinich campaign that they will be lobbying Congressional representatives heavily over the next few days to support the Ohio Congressman impeachment resolution (House Resolution 333)," the release continued, adding that the resolution will bring about a vote "within two days" of its introduction Tuesday. The measure has 22 sponsors.
Lawmakers will have three options to deal with the resolution: pass it, relegate it to a committee, or support a so-called "motion to table," which effectively kills a pending matter by ending debate.
According to The Hill newspaper, Kucinich's idea -- which would put legislators on the record about Cheney's impeachment -- is making some Democrats uneasy.
"If he pulls it off, it could make for an uncomfortable situation for Democratic leaders and centrist Democrats," The Hill's Mike Soraghan writes of Kucinich's plan. "Liberal activists are pushing for impeachment, while leaders worry such a move could turn off independent voters. They have made it clear that impeachment of Cheney or President Bush is off the table."
Democrats might be tempted to opt to send the resolution to committee, according to Soraghan, who says that such a move "avoids an immediate floor vote and might be the most appealing option to the Democratic leadership."
Despite its apparent unpopularity among Democratic legislators, the Kucinich proposal is not necessarily out of line with American public opinion: a July poll from American Research Group found that 54% of those surveyed favored the "US House of Representatives beginning impeachment proceedings against Vice President Dick Cheney."
“Congress must hold the Vice President accountable," Kucinich said in a statement last week. "The American people need to let Members of Congress know how they feel about this. The Vice President continues to use his office to advocate for a continued occupation of Iraq and prod our nation into a belligerent stance against Iran. If you didn't notice (I suppose you didn't), truthers getting dragged away yelling was met with thunderous applause by Maher's audience. They weren't cheering for our side, by the way.

Third, they use weak clips in their trailer, as painstakingly catalogued previously. There is no compelling reason to use weak evidence, except incompetence, ineptitude, peer pressure, or something as stupid.

...point us to an existing one, that you believe would be the basis for the perfect 9/11 'Truth' movie. A movie that wouldn't "cost all of us."
While I am in agreement with you that the LC crew have delivered some nonsense in the past (and I don't really have high hopes that they'll do otherwise in this new release), I have yet to see anyone that trashes them produce an iron-clad, irrefutable evidence-filled replacement.
I can point you to an imperfect documentary!
Fahrenheit 9/11!!!
Think about it. That one essentially pointless scene in Fahrenheit 9/11 (out of many, actually) where Paul Wolfowitz rakes his comb through his mouth (YUCK) in order to provide, I don't know, lubricant or gel or something sticky for his hair, added absolutely NOTHING to the main point of the movie, which was, presumably, to properly and justifiably smear Bush for his policies. BUT -- and this is an important BUT -- IT DID add to the entertainment value of the film and people loved it! (However, yes, it was a cheap shot.)
So you see, while it's important to make a movie that is both factual and accurate, it is also very wise to keep it from being boring. One way to do that, I have observed, is to every now and then have scenes that "normal" everyday people can relate to and which will keep them watching. To me, having, say, a guy onscreen, talking about what he THINKS as opposed to what he KNOWS, doesn't necessarily negate the usefulness and/or value of his testimony. As long as he sounds convincing, and speaks in an everyman's voice, I would think it's okay, and probably preferable, to use him in lieu of some flat fact-ranting subject.
In any case, with respect to at least some of the scenes you're complaining about , there must be a good reason they're included in LCFC. Especially considering all the scenes that are reported to have been cut out.
