An Open Letter From 9/11 Family Member Donna Marsh O'Connor

This September 11 will be the sixth anniversary of the day I had my last chance to talk to my daughter, Vanessa Lang Langer. I was barely out of bed and conscious during the dwindling moments that would come to be the remaining time her blood coursed through her veins, her heart beat, she had her hands on her steering wheel as she parked her car in the garage on Washington Street, sat at her desk, thought about her brothers, her husband, her coming child. I did not know it would be the last opportunity, and in this post-traumatic world that I now occupy I know there are millions of people out there who know how intensified my grief gets with each passing year and with each new crime perpetrated by the Bush administration and the many in our government who enable them. I know, and there is some comfort in knowing, that many of you are just as outraged, just as traumatized by the failure to bring to light that what was done to my daughter in body, and to our country and, indeed, the world, in spirit and action was (in whole or in part) facilitated by factions in our own government. The most important thing then is be certain that as we ask for an investigation or for impeachment we are conscious that we are asking for what may constitute our only hope to get out of this alive.
We must be strategic. Not sentimental. Not stupid. Not so angry that we lose sight of this first truth--even 9/11 occurred in the "post 9/11 world". On that day when so many are thinking about their last opportune moments to connect to those they love, we need to give them the space (intellectual and emotional) to see with their own eyes how this land has fared, how our government has failed us as it grew its own power. Because the most important thing is not respect for the dead and for the grieving who on this day will have those events unfold for them moment by moment--the most important thing is to stop it from happening again. And continuing. So on that day and only on that day in the places where the mourners gather, I am asking all of you to pause.

excellent point wisdom, i can not tell you how angry i got when that whitewash documentary talked about the victim's families and said we were hurting them by wanting the truth. i thought about the victim's families that are still trying so hard to get answers from our govt to no avail. that was the most disrespectful thing they could have shown.... and that lil punk davin coburn and james meigs... i dont see how people can be in the same room with scum like that.

What can be said
after such a profound statement?
This message should be seen by everyone.
It must be Hell.
It must be hell losing a child.
It must be hell knowing the guilty are not only free but free to continue their crime spree on a global scale.
It must be hell knowing the truth about 9/11 and having to endure the ignorance and denial of the uninformed, and the ridicule and personal attacks of those who continue to profit from the original crime.
It must be hell. And yet Donna Marsh O'Connor can reach out through her grief and anger and counsel those of us who have no emotional connection to not be sentimental, stupid and angry.
SHE who has lost so much, has the presence of mind and compassion to tell US that the most important thing is not respect for the dead or even grieving, but to stop it from happening again.
This is a message that needs to be relayed to every would-be elected official who desires to represent the will of the people, and to every citizen who chooses justice and truth and freedom and the Constitution, over empire building and the rule of the military-industrial complex and the elite crime families who are currently in power.

I seen that before ,and have to say that was the most heart felt video that i ever seen. It makes me wonder what i would do if i lost one of my kids in the towers. I wonder what Mrs O'conner thinks when she hears people like Orilley say it offends the victims families wanting a new investigation?

Is her request overly subtle?
As I read her statement, she seems to be asking people not to protest or otherwise disrupt the gatherings of mourners. I think that deserves some clarification. Am I reading her words incorrectly?

It appeared that they were, by something that they said, the way it was formatted, but it was a mistake of mine. Even THEY deserve the truth, but, more so, to maintain the reality, that we here on on the side of truth. I still need your input over there. They have been keeping me busy. The doubly infuriating circumstance of lies surrounding it, and the lies that keep getting pumped on the internet, and mainstream, defense industry/government owned media makes it harder, no doubt.
We need to counter the BS of the government, and pundit sites, like the one over at: the link below here. Please, help me. I've been working overtime over there. Of course, we have the evidence on our side, so it isn't difficult, but we all need to keep it ongoing, the defense of our much more sensible logic against the government defenders. But, to avoid getting into the juvinile name calling, keeps us in the reasoned and collected mind set, much more worthy of respect, in my opinion. Thanks! I've been countering their BS for a while now. I at one point started getting deleted, they claimed I had been spamming because I posted a link, the Patriots Question 911 one, quite a few times, but they ignore the fact I HAVE NO WEB SITE to spam, and am not selling anything. Well, they let me start posting again, especially after I reminded them, of my spreading the knowledge that they are not credible if they delete posts, but then, they just started deleting again.
When the going gets tough, in the debates, the Liars start deleting.
