Intel Official: Bush Knows Where bin Laden Is Hiding But Chooses Not to Capture Him

by Jon Ponder | Jul. 14, 2007

Apologists for Pres. George W. Bush routinely lay blame for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the Clinton administration, purportedly because they failed to capture Osama bin Ladin when they had an opportunity in the 1990s.

But since 2005, at least, the Bush administration has known the whereabouts of bin Ladin as well as the much of al Qaeda’s senior leadership, and yet the president refuses to send forces in to get them.

In congressional testimony earlier this week, intelligence officials admitted that bin Laden and his gang are in Pakistan and gaining strength, but that the Bush administration refuses to go after them because the Musharraf regime won’t give the United States permission to conduct operations in the region:

“It’s not that we lack the ability to go into that space,” said Tom Fingar of the office of the Director of National Intelligence. “But we have chosen not to do so without the permission of the Pakistani government,” Fingar told members of Congress who demanded to know why the U.S. did not take more decisive action against a known enemy.

It is bizarre that the Bush won’t go after bin Laden because he’s suddenly averse to invading a sovereign nation. A cynic might wonder if the reason he won’t send troops into Pakistan against the wishes of its leaders because there is no oil there.

On a related note, speaking at conference in Colorado earlier this month, Karl Rove drew openly derisive laughter when he responded to a question about an incident in 2005 in which the U.S. military had senior al Qaeda leadership in the cross-hairs but were ordered to stand down before the operation even started:

KARL ROVE: The United States has concerns about taking unilateral action in a sovereign nation without their approval. And so this has always been the difficulty we have with — [Laughter.] Unless, of course, they‘re Saddam Hussein

Last week, Michael Chertoff, the Homeland Security Secretary, said he had a feeling in his gut that there would be an attack on the United States this summer. If the unthinkable does happen, it will be interesting to see how they manage to blame this one on Pres. Clinton.

It sounds like Jon Ponder is a heartbeat away from declaring the "War on Terror" a fraud. Perhaps some encouragement is in order:

i disagree, i think Ponder

i disagree, i think Ponder is perpetuating a myth that Bin Laden is still alive and able to "strike us" at anytime. be afraid. im sorry, but personally i think thats the point of this. they need the boogeyman, Chertoff and company keep threatening us for a reason and they need to prop up the dead man again soon.

"The Central Intelligence Agency owns everyone of any significance in the major media." ~ William Colby, Former Director, CIA

Uh huh, as we all know by now....

....Bush never wanted to capture Bin Laden, OBL was a manufactured bogeyman used to put a face on "radical Muslims" and frighten the American people and as long as he is ostensibly "alive" and at large, he can be used for that purpose....in the famous words of muzzled FBI agent and Bin Laden expert Robert Wright, "The Bush's vacation with the Bin Ladens....", their business dealings go back decades....

This whole bit of propaganda still serves to play into the official lie that, "Brown people (specifically Middle Eastern Muslims that oppose Israel in Oil-producing countries) did it (9/11).

Remember this? (I never get tired of watching Porter Goss's face :):

One can show this news story and video clip to the next in-denial Bush-hugger who desperately and angrily puts the "blame" for 9/11 on Clinton, and hasn't seen through the fraud yet.

Actually I think he is like many

people, like my parents, who are having a harder and harder time dealing with the cognitive dissonance caused by the perpetuation of the Bin laden is still alive myth.

After all these years, it makes no sense for Bush not to have really gone in and taken out al queda's leadership. It's not like he has trouble stepping on the toes of other countries and other branches of his own government.

Basically, the reality shows that everything is not on the up and up. But some people feel a psychological pressure not to 'go there' (basically, admit to themselves that not everything is on the up and up). So they get frustrated by the situation, and make their minds come up with other reasons not to admit the truth. Reasons like, Bush must be so scared of pissing off Pakistan that he hasn't gone in and gotten Bin Laden. It's laughable, but basically their mind will do anything it takes to explain away the situation without admitting the horrible truth that we have a working relationship with al queda, and were fully complicit in 9/11, and Bin laden is long dead, just a useful boogeyman for recruiting more terrorist patsies and racheting up fear in the West.

you mentioned a very

you mentioned a very inportant detail:

The psychology (cognitive dissonance)

I think the greatest cognitive dissonance is the fact that BUSH FAILS IN EVERYTHING but GETS RE-ELECTED.

I call it "Winning by Failing".

In such an environment, where accountability is negated .... ANY TRUST IS USELESS, hence all democracy is worthless, or, in yet other words. the powerful have achieved their goal, namely that meaningful participation is sabotaged, starting in the head of the potential participant.

The powerless are excouraged to feel powerless.

Have you watched SiCKO? There is a scene where an old socialist in England explains this dirty trick explicitly:

Very worthwhile to use his exact words. One can't put it any better IMHO.

Here is the quote:

Not Iraq, though....

....the longer the war goes on (superficially failing in most Americans' eyes), the more profitable it is for his military-industrial-complex and financial oligarch sponsors....that is the real "Winning by Failing" by Bush.

9/11 Truth is the Real Peace Movement

Gut feeling ;)

I think he died during his visit to Dubai. Family, friends and the CIA were purportedly there and I believe it was then that the family handed over his name/notoriety on a silver platter to be used in the 9/11 massacre knowing full well he had a fatal illness. Saudis have too many shadowy connections to the Bush regime...this would have been easy to accomplish. But, I haven't put a lot of time in researching this...can anyone tell me if there are recent photos of him with evidence that the image is current?

I spoke to my GUT today, and

I spoke to my GUT today, and other then its displeasure with my diet of greasy pizza, it told me the US will strike targets inside of Pakistan. The Intel guys will announce that Osama has been killed. Then a video from some masked man will be on the news spewing words of Vengence/Jihad. Then the next false flag event will happen. Soon after Bush declares a National Emergency and then comes the Dark Days.

He's back!

speak of the devil...here he is talking of martyrdom again...

http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/07/possible-new-me.html

I wonder...was the old pudgy Osama the real thing...only to die and be replaced by the younger, leaner, swarthy model?

Bin Laden is hiding six feet

Bin Laden is hiding six feet under -- and I don't mean a cave.

The Eleventh Day of Every Month

I agree...

This is just more disinfo, to justify another attack, they are playing games with us, don't believe a word they say.

Yes and this guy sums up my comment

Please post that as a blog entry...

Nice.

Yes....

Way cool....

Who is this guy? To me he somehow represents that "Joe America" is absorbing this information and gets the implications in an almost second-nature fashion....he nails it.

9/11 Truth is the Real Peace Movement

Sweet.

I thought of this independently, but then I realized someone must have beat me to it. Sure enough.

Osama after 9/11 was

Osama after 9/11 was reported to be in Afghanistan. The Taliban offered to hand over Osama to the authorities of a neutral country on one simple condition, evidence that he was involved in the attacks on 9/11. You know what happened next...

Today "Intel" reports Osama is in Pakistan and he is now as much as a threat as before 9/11? Now they claim they can't "Get Him" because they respect the sovereignty of Pakistan?

This makes no sense whatsoever.

The actual continuing message is clear:

------------Enough------------- Americans are brainwashed enough, or dumb or ignorant or scared enough to buy whatever shit we sell them.

TPTB

Pakistan does have...

... nuclear weapons, so, I would say that the probability of invading Pakistan is quite low. The govt will come up with all sorts of reasons for not invading it.

HOW?

How can there be even ONE American left that believes this bullshit????

Chertoff gets a gut feeling and a few days later "terrorists" are all over the news making threats!
It's actually hilariously obvious. SO fake...so staged. "It will be even WORSE than the failed bombings!"
"BOMBINGS" ???!!! fuel in a car?! FUEL?

This crap with Bin Laden hiding in Pakistan is more of the same to fool america he was responsible for 911 and to move them slowly towards hating Bush so Hillary can be our next president and take our country in a brand new direction - continuous war, occupation of nations, empire building.

And while I'm at it, how can people still believe there are two parties in this country?
