Graffiti Calls Attention To 9/11

By Richard Dean Prudenti

THE MORNING NEWS

BENTONVILLE -- Political messages about "9/11" were spray-painted on two of Benton County's trucks Monday, a day after Bentonville police began investigating graffiti on the main county courthouse and annex.

Vandals used silver metallic spray paint to send the message, "9-11 Was An Inside Job," on a Chevy Colorado and a Dodge Durango belonging to the Benton County Assessor's Office.

"I don't know if there is any significance to the color they picked," said Bentonville Police Chief James Allen.

Police also couldn't determine a meaning from the date the vandalism occurred, which was likely Friday night or early Saturday morning.

Allen said there are no suspects and no "useable video camera recording."

Graffiti on the front exterior wall of the courthouse at the top of the steps facing the square read "9/11 = Inside Job," also in silver metallic letters. Other versions of the message were found on interior side of the four marble pillars.

Messages at the courthouse annex included "Bush Knew", "Death To The New World Order", "Google = terror storm", and "www.infowars.com."

The Web site features conspiracy theories alleging the U.S. government's involvement in the terrorist bombings of Sept. 11, 2001.

Police do not associate the vandalism with gang activity because "it's not the typical writing, and gang acts are always tagged by their name ... emblem or signature of who it is."

One of the restrooms at Dave Peel Park was also painted with graffiti messages.

A few months ago the Parks Department staff found spray-painted symbols on the back side of the restroom building. "This is the first time" the graffiti has involved the 9/11 statements, said city Parks Director Doug Glaysher.

County and city personnel cleaned or painted over much of the graffiti by Monday afternoon.

Allen is asking anyone with information about the vandalism to call police at 273-2455.

now i know a lot of people

now i know a lot of people around here are gonna scold whoever did this for giving us a bad name, breaking the law etc. etc. but we got an article out of it didnt we? i didnt do it.......

no doubt

I didn't do it either but it's a great article.

There is a rainbow gathering happening in the vicinity.

The Eleventh Day of Every Month

RAINBOW GATHERING

The Rainbow cats are pretty cool but highly cut off in many ways. If only we could find a way to reach them...they would be an enormous asset to our movement.

Last year

there was someone walking around great circle (several thousand people) with a huge 9/11 truth sign and someone else with a big bag of dvds... there's outreach going on everywhere!

The Eleventh Day of Every Month

This Group should be above this...

This behavior sucks and should not be tolerated by the 9/11 Truth members. It gives us a bad name besides being illegal. What a drag that this happened.

Aha!

YOU did it!

What a bunch of losers...to attack me like this.

Grow Up!

Lighten up and get a sense of humor already

On the contrary, we need more civil disobedience like this!

!

Great job!

I think it's perfectly ok AS LONG AS it's on public property. A courthouse is public property.

Keep up the good work. This must continue until 9/11 is solved and the New World Order is DISsolved.

incidentally i work in a

incidentally i work in a courthouse.........(but it still wasnt me!)

not sure how I feel on this

I just don't see anyone holding this Bush regime accountalbe, look at all the crimes they have done. They give us a bad name every chance they get.

Paint on the walls of buildings and vehicles, just a irritant. Can you have a jury trial? I think it is probably just a crime that has a fine only.

not what I can do anyways, so it was not me either.

Don't worry about "giving us a bad name" The truth must come out . Peace will only succeed when everyone see's the truth of 9/11.

Let's find Peace

Use Non-Permanent Mediums

You don't need to "vandalize." You get the point across just as well using something that is non-permanent and not too difficult to clean up.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was done by some JREF types to try to give local 9/11 Truth people in the area a bad name.

whom ever did this, what

whom ever did this, what ever you do DO NOT even hint that you did it. I am sure they will claim you are a terrorist or some other crap and use you as an example. Wait until this is all over then you can brag all you want...

anyway, Good Job, and my hat is off to the staff writer who went above and beyond by quoting all the different messages.

seriously, and the links

seriously, and the links too. this writer is obviously sympathetic.

haha, i was right, people

haha, i was right, people think this is giving us a bad name.

I have a better idea though...

Instead of graffiti and ink (which people tend to associate with vandals and gangsters and other such "low-lives", use BANNERS and STICKERS instead, which is more associated with real activism. Graffiti is effective in pissing off the authorities, but banners and posters and such are more effective at getting people's attention.

Imagine an enormous banner-drop over a huge overpass DURING RUSH-HOUR!!! To be realistic, this should be happening all over the country by now.
We should be a movement of 9/11 truth Freeway Bloggers!! :)

I'm with you...

I'm sure the most hard-core of the 911 truth movement feel like the days of oppression are here, and vandalism is a valid approach to raise awareness. The deep concerns about where our country is headed, however valid, are not here yet. 911 or not, there's still a basically free press, widespread civil liberties, and a movement growing daily to continue reclaiming what has slipped away of those two pillars of a democratic society. Vandalism, on the other hand, screams desperation, and I think that there are not only more effective, but better and much more powerful ways. Get a bumper-sticker next time and screw up your own property if you like. It's not an issue of respecting public property or reclaiming it, it's an issue of pissing off people who will continue to add resistance to their psyche rather than consider the deeper issues which the 911 movement have raised. That's unfortunate.

Spraying good, Infowars bad

For me, spraying is a legitimate form of activism. I don't have a problem with beautifully-clean fassades being "vandalized".
They shouldn't promote Alex Jones, though.
He is not representative and turns many people away from the cause.

Being anti-AJ is one thing...

being a liar is another. AJ, love him or hate him, spreads the 9/11 Truth message to MILLIONS of people each day. He doesnt claim to be anyone's "representative". The logic that he turns people away from the message or the movement is ridiculous and rings loudly as double-speak. Someone who is new to 9/11 truth that suddenly listened to AJ's show, even if they hated it and turned it off, would not suddenly become against 9/11 truth because they dont like his show or style or whatever. If they did, they have deeper psychological issues and should seek help.

Regarding the spray paint issue, I think it should be done with banners and stickers, not paint, and they shouldn't ever paint the website of a site that didnt condone or request the action. It sounds like people trying to smear both 9/11 truth and AJ, or possibly a group of unthinking 14 year olds.

thank you, and im my opinion

thank you, and im my opinion the same applies to the notion that "people seeing graffiti of 9/11 truth will turn them off to the cause because its illegal etc.". im sorry but i call bullshit on that one too. as if we are some monolithic entity or something.

How is he lying? I

How is he lying? I personally love what AJ has done to promote 9/11 Truth and his approach is wonderful. But you must admit that his approach and style does not appeal to everyone.

...

This hardmizzen2 dude just constantly goes around this site talking trash about AJ, and just plain lying. Above he implies that AJ or we believe the he (aj) is our representative, neither is true. Even if one believes that AJ is their representative in 9/11, he himself says otherwise. This guy knows that, but makes the implication anyway... to me that = liar.
