OPEN LETTER TO THOM@THOMHARTMANN.COM

This morning Friday June 15, 2007 at about 11:25 (Pacific time) on The Thom Hartmann Program, Thom invited the 911 Truth movement to contact his show to discuss the possibility of devoting an hour or two of a future program to the raging controversy between 9/11 Truth's view of the events of and surrounding September 11, 2001, versus that of the defenders' of the Bush Administration's version of the events. (This was in the third hour of Thom's Air America show and is likely archived on AirAmericaRadio.com)

Thom put his producer David Poole on briefly to explain that about six months ago he had tried to arrange such a discussion, but that he could not get the prospective participants to agree to have listener callers in the discussion; and that neither side would agree to be on WITH the other side (!)

For people who don't know: this invitation should be taken seriously. Dr. David Ray Griffin, Webster Tarpley, and other such have been on the show. Also, Thom's regular substitute, the San Francisco radio host Peter B. Collins, is a solid, outspoken advocate for the truth about 9/11.

It seems obvious that as soon as possible representatives of a consortium of 9/11 Truth organizations (such as http://www.911blogger.com , http://911truth.org, The Loose Change people, etc.)should contact The Thom Hartmann Show and begin discussions. (A first, burning, question that should be answered is: what representatives of the 9/11 Truth movement would have taken it upon themselves to REFUSE TO APPEAR ON THE SAME SHOW WITH THE OPPOSITION, AND REFUSED TO HAVE CALLER PARTICIPATION?!!!!!)

Dear Mr. Palast,

On May 10, 2007, in an INN TV interview, you made statements which were blatantly defamatory when you called me, by name, a "complete and utter fraud" and a "fruitcake." I demand either a retraction or substantiation of your accusations -- publicly.

A lawyer friend affirms that your statements, available here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=r2oFTiEpIBQ , constitute "malicious defamation."

You taunted: "Mr. Jones, come at me!"

I am ready to respond to your specific objections to my papers, or issues you wish to raise which support the "official story" of the Bush/Cheney administration, after you have first verified that you have actually read what I have written on the subject of controlled demolition at the World Trade Center:

I will respond then to your statements which support the Bush/Cheney or "official story" for 9/11 events, and I will assure that the exchange will be made public. Be sure to include your explanation of the iron-aluminum-rich microspheres which I discovered in the WTC dust if your explanation differs from mine, as well as the rapid straight-down collapse of WTC 7.

Again, my lawyer friend describes your public remarks on INN on May 10, 2007, as "malicious defamation" and I think he is correct. Do you? You called me a "complete and utter fraud" and a "fruitcake." I maintain that I am of sound mind and not a fraud. However, I invite you to present your substantiation of these claims -- or retract your egregious defamations.

I place 911 Truth banners on wooden and metal poles where people stopped for a traffic light will see them. Locations that are visible to pedestrian traffic work well, too. Do not expect 911 Truth banners to last for extended periods of time anywhere they can be torn off. I did the same thing last year with IMPEACH banners and they were generally left undisturbed.
