On February 5th, Chris Matthews of Hardball on MSNBC claimed that Giuliani "made you feel like you had a right to walk the street safely." He added, "I think the country wants a boss like that, you know? A little bit of fascism there. Just a little bit. Just a pinch of it." http://mediamatters.org/items/200702070011?src=other
Now Tonight (May 16th) on Hardball Chuck Todd claimed that "Giuliani owns 9/11".
Dear Mr. Matthews and Company:
I'm at a loss as to which internationally televised statement is more absurd and irresponsible; that America needs "a little bit of fascism" a' la Giuliani or that Rudy Giuliani "owns 9/11."
What is clear is MSNBC's total failure or refusal to bring forward the facts about Rudy Giuliani's record before, during and after 9/11. If Rudy and the much replayed images of him walking dust covered in downtown streets have you under a spell it's well past time to break it. The man is running for President on a false 9/11 image not on his actual record, which is damning, if only you'd honestly examine it and bring guests on your shows who can credibly speak to it.
Rudy was amongst the dust of the fallen buildings and burning dead because he chose to place his emergency management bunker in the World Trade Center complex (WTC 7), a target in 1993, despite advice to place it elsewhere. And some of those dead were fire and police first responders who could not be reached with the radioed message to evacuate because Rudy's failure to force Motorola to deliver on a deal to provide the city with radios that actually worked. No wonder so many of the 9/11 families screamed, "talk about the radios" and halted the 9/11 Commission hearing at which not a single Commissioner asked Rudy about the radios. When is your show and your network going to live up to its responsibility as a fourth estate pillar to accurately inform the American public of the facts, rather than ill-informed opinion about matters of the highest import?
If you were interested in facts rather than hyperbole about Rudy Giuliani you might invite Bill Bowen, co-author of Radio Silence, (AMAZON LINK) to discuss the dark questions swirling around Giuliani's deal with Motorola and how it was that the same radios that didn't allow the police and fire department to communicate in 1993 were in use on the morning of 9/11. ...Or John Solomon from The Washington Post could speak to how Giuliani parlayed his undeserved 9/11 'fame' into wealth? If indeed "he owns 9/11" as Chuck Todd suggested perhaps it is in the form of the $100 million in profits he parlayed via Giuliani Partners from clients with shady reputations with such partners such as Bernie Kerik who is now under investigation, who is suspected ties with the Mob and who used an apartment donated for first responders for trysts with Judith ("I Did It") Regan while workers toiled at a toxic Ground Zero without adequate protection.

Thank you for writing this open letter. When I heard Chris Matthews say this "fascist" comment on Softball, I thought for the 1000th time, whose side is he on?! Once again, so much for the so-called liberal shows. Keith O. is the only one who gets it and reports it.
And, yes, Giuliani ( and Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice & Wolfowitz) will some day truly own 9/11, but not in the way these commentators meant.
Future (truthful) history books will recall these very dark days of the turn of this century, with the silver lining that the world became a better place after the exposure of 9/11 became the tipping point for exposure of all else corrupt that went on before. I hope.

I try to post this excerpt in any thread about Ghouliani.
Where did this guy come from? How did he become a power broker? The answer lies in a little-known pedophilia scandal at West Point. Quite simply, the ghoul became a contender by covering up for child abusers.
From Dave McGowan's "Programmed to Kill" (disturbing content):
"The case first broke in July of 1984, when a three-year-old girl found herself in the emergency room of the West Point Hospital with a lacerated vagina. She told the examining physician that a teacher at the day care center had hurt her. The next month, the parents of another child leveled accusations of abuse at the center.
As the Mercury News reported: “By the end of the year, 50 children had been interviewed by investigators....They said they were taken away from the day care center and photographed.”
Despite abundant medical and psychological evidence, and literally dozens of child witnesses, and despite “950 interviews by 60 FBI agents assigned to the investigation, an investigation led by former U.S. Attorney Rudolph Giuliani produced no federal grand jury indictments,” according to the Herald Record.
The Herald also noted that: “In 1987, Giuliani said his detailed investigation showed only one or two children were abused.” This was, it should be noted, a bare-faced lie from the fascistic future-mayor and would-be Senator, as the Herald report divulged: “a still-secret, independent report - produced by one of the nation's top experts on child sexual abuse - confirms the children's accusations of abuse.”
This was not the first time that the prestigious academy had shown an appalling willingness to overlook extreme levels of abuse directed at children by army personnel. A year before the abuse case broke, a 22-month-old child was murdered by an Army staff sergeant. The Mercury News reported that: “After a court martial hearing, the sergeant was given an 18 month suspended sentence and dishonorable discharge.”
In other words, he served no time and was essentially given a free ride for murdering a child. With help from Giuliani, the FBI, the U.S. Army, and the grand jury, the abusers of countless children at the day care center (which was, appropriately enough, building number 666 on the academy grounds) were likewise given a free ride.
As with the Franklin case, the children and their parents were to find justice only through the civil courts. The Herald Record reported that: “lawyers for both the government and the 11 child plaintiffs agreed that some children were sexually abused at the center two years ago” (again contradicting Giuliani's bogus conclusions). The government, however, claimed that it could not be held responsible, due to the “assault exemption in the Federal Tort Claim Act.”

This is an obvious contradiction to the Ghoul's claim that "only one or two" children were abused.
It takes a special kind of scum to cover up a case like this, especially when you have physical evidence including a doctor's report of a three-year-old girl with a lacerated vagina.
