Please Help! 1,124 Ground Zero Hi-Res Pictures!

EDIT: added: http://911.yweb.sk/galleries/nasekana-ocel.php
Gallery of best cut steel columns and pile.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I need help in figuring out how to upload and share these pictures on the web for all to view.

A guy I work with gave me 1GB worth, or 1124, of extremely Hi-res (about 90%) pictures from Ground Zero. His uncle worked for a clean up company and has been sitting on them for over a year. I've only had a chance to look at a few of these and they are breathtaking. The quality on about 90% of them is incredibly high.

I want to distribute them so that others can examine and research these to see if it helps our case.

If you have a way for me to upload these, please email asap..

Thanks,
Chris

p.s. if this is not the right spot to do this, please tell me where to post and/or move it for me!

Nice...

I'm sure many of the 9/11 researchers would love for you to make them available... me included :-)

How technical on the PC are you, i.e. FTP client etc, binary newgroups...

I used http://www.megaupload.com for my recent BBC film and it's great for upto a 500MB file.

You might find it easier if you create 3 folders i.e. WTC-PICS-A, -B and -C, that way you can split (copy/paste) them into approxiamtely 3 x even sized sets.

If you're not too "techy", do you know how to make zip files (by highlighting approx 400 x 1MB image files) and "add to archive"...

You would need to create about 3 archives if you have over 1GB in images.

If you get stuck, I'm sure we'll try to help ya.

Best wishes and thanks for sharing...

The Easiest Way to Share them

for a non-tech person: Sign up for a free Flickr account. It was bought by Yahoo, so if you already have a Yahoo account -- it should be really easy.

You will be able to upload the original high resolution photos and the site will take care of the thumbnails and everything, creating galleries online, etc. It's a very well designed system they've got there.

Go to http://flickr.com

!

step one: do not give them to anyone without keeping copies for yourself
step two: dont just give them to the first numpty that asks for them, youll need a trusted reputable site to host the files for you. maybe see what the guys that run this place say. hold tight until you talk to them.

maybe get a hold of the guys over at Infowars.com / prisonplanet.com, Alex Jones is always on the lookout for stuff like this. who knows, maybe theres stuff there that can answer some questions.

Are these in the FEMA photo library?

I hope not... I hope they're more incriminating!

FEMA has some stunning hi-res photos of Ground Zero. I haven't been able to find anything conclusive there, but it may be worth a second look.

If anyone's interested:
http://www.photolibrary.fema.gov/photolibrary/index.jsp
Enter this under "Search Photographs":
Keywords: "world trade center"
Location: New York
Photographer: Any
Category: Any
Photograph Date Range: 09/11/2001 to 12/31/2001
Photographs per page: 100

so far in my perusal...

of the FEMA hirez pics I have found this somewhat interesting.

http://www.photolibrary.fema.gov/photolibrary/photo_details.do?id=4271

This is an aerial taken "New York, NY, October 12, 2001 -- Flying high over ground zero, this American flag blows in the wind from one of the many cranes working at the World Trade Center recovery operation. Photo by Mike Rieger/ FEMA News Photo"

What I find interesting is how clean the ground is where WTC 7 once stood. I can understand it being somewhat of a priority due to it's proximity to other buildings damaged, though not destroyed. Those buildings not destroyed could return to service sooner with a cleanup of WTC 7.

So far, It seems that most of these photos were taken by only one photographer, Mike Rieger. Though, I have found some other, earlier photos credited to Andrea Booher. In addition, the EXIF data shows that the date setting on Rieger's camera was wrong. For example, the EXIF data for this aerial image

http://www.photolibrary.fema.gov/photolibrary/photo_details.do?id=4238

DateTimeOriginal - 2002:08:27 08:46:25
DateTimeDigitized - 2002:08:27 08:46:25

and for this aeria image taken "New York, NY, September 29, 2001 -- An aerial view of the recovery operations underway at the World Trade Center. Photo by Michael Rieger/ FEMA News Photo"

http://www.photolibrary.fema.gov/photolibrary/photo_details.do?id=4271

DateTimeOriginal - 2002:09:11 08:53:32
DateTimeDigitized - 2002:09:11 08:53:32

This indicates only a 15 difference between these two photos. Both photos appear to have been taken with the same camera. Pretty fast cleanup of the WTC 7 site, I'd say.

The file date for a couple of Booher's photos indicate a two day difference in what is reported on FEMA's site. Her earliest photos do not have EXIF data. This indicates probable software manipulation before they were posted on FEMA's site. Cropping, masking, color alterations, who knows???

The last photo searching on the date range suggested was said to have been taken Nov. 2nd.

I find it somewhat strange and rather unprofessional that two FEMA photographers cannot set the date on their cameras properly. Also, coupling this unprofessionalism with the fact that most of these FEMA images, which seem to be rather general landscape and aerial shots, human interest group and individual shots, dogs, etc., indicates to me that few of these images would serve to be very useful for studying and determining the cause(s) of the disaster.

So, where are the photos taken by professional FEMA photographers and who are they?

If you can, always take a quick peek at the EXIF data that is stored with most digital images anymore.

The FEMA photographer's girlfriend was killed around Christmas shortly thereafter and he has since moved
out of the country.

I couldn't find a date for the story until I looked here:

Ground Zero Fugitive Fights Extradition-- the strange case of Kurt Sonnenfeld (Buenos Aires Herald, Tuesday, April 11, 2006)
http://portland.indymedia.org/en/2006/08/344794.shtml

Sonnenfeld worked under contract for the US government's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for several years. He worked at the World Trade Center for about five weeks with full access to underground searches. There was no restriction on filming, other than not showing bodies, or firemen in tears. Sonnenfeld says no documents were signed whereby ownership of the images could have gone to the US government, and that he was requested to edit the material for a memorial (following previous disasters he had acted as a government spokesman).

After nearly a year, where's Kurt Sonnenfeld now?

Here's more:

http://911review.org/Sept11Wiki/Sonnenfeld,Kurt.shtml

Kurt Sonnenfeld and Jim Chestnutt were the only videographers allowed to film at Ground Zero.

It was Kurt Sonnenfeld's wife of about 10 years, not girlfriend, who was murdered or had committed suicide.

Kurt Sonnenfeld used heroin.

Photographers Andrea Booher and Michael Rieger shot the still photos

The four cameramen passed the Mini DV disk footage to CNN (see link below).

Huh? Still photographers do not uses Mini DV.

http://www.tvtechnology.com/features/news/fema-1.shtml

No camera crews were inside the closed-off perimeter Sept. 13 when Region 8’s head of public affairs for disasters Ed Conley arrived. He asked Chestnutt and later Sonnenfeld to capture everything possible on video for use in news programming, as a teaching tool for search and rescue operations and for future historical research. Photographers Andrea Booher and Michael Rieger shot the still photos using Olympus E20 and Nikon D1X digital cameras.

Chestnutt and Sonnenfeld were getting the meat. Another video crew was brought in later to get the fluff.

With the huge demand for their footage now apparent, the crew decided to send the footage directly to the broadcasters. FEMA brought in an uplink truck, a producer, and more photographers. Footage was stored in a computer and then uplinked to the satellites twice a day. In addition, two beta-video crews began recording sound and interviewing workers to get more of the human story.

mmm... If that's the case, then why does it seem that Booher and Rieger, as evidenced by their photos taken as still photographers, were already doing that. WHo was shooting the meat as still photographers?

FEMA is searching for advice on how to do archive their footage and on which media asset management applications they should use. Although the agency still uses a large VHS tape room, more footage is now being stored on DV tapes, though Sonnenfeld believes that everything will eventually be stored on DVD. "One great thing about digital," he notes, "is the ability to make copies and copies. We can make plenty of back-up copies without a loss in resolution."

Ah. So where are the backups? Where is the footage uploaded to the media?

My advice to FEMA as to "how to archive their footage".

Just do it.

Following up on photographer Andrea Booher finds this from OSHA:

http://www.osha.gov/Publications/WTC/dangerous_worksite.html

Identifying Risks and Hazards:

HOT STEEL

Even as the steel cooled, there was concern that the girders had become so hot that they could crumble when lifted by overhead cranes. As a result, additional safeguards were put in place to limit the dangers associated with lifting the damaged steel and to protect the workers in the vicinity.

Another danger involved the high temperature of twisted steel pulled from the rubble. Underground fires burned at temperatures up to 2,000 degrees. As the huge cranes pulled steel beams from the pile, safety experts worried about the effects of the extreme heat on the crane rigging and the hazards of contact with the hot steel. And they were concerned that applying water to cool the steel could cause a steam explosion that would propel nearby objects with deadly force. Special expertise was needed. OSHA called in structural engineers from its national office to assess the situation. They recommended a special handling procedure, including the use of specialized rigging and instruments to reduce the hazards.

Kurt Sonnenfeld....

"After nearly a year, where's Kurt Sonnenfeld now?"

Look, what an hour of tete-a-tete with Google-darling is able to dig up:

In 2006, Kurt Sonnenfeld was in Argentina. He had moved there after having been released again from custody. He had been in custody on remand following an investigation into his wife's death by a gunshot on Jan 1st, 2001, which he says was suicide. An article titled "Kurt Sonnenfeld - FEMA's WhistleBlower?" appeared in signs-of-the-times.org.

This article quotes (and translates back into English) a Sonnenfeld interview with Argentine daily newspaper El Pais on September 10th 2006. Sonnenfeld is supposed to have said this about his work as a photographer for FEMA on Ground Zero, during the "remove the rubble" cleanup operation:

"I was the only person, with camera in hand, with total and absolute access to any area of Ground Zero and the WTC. Any other cameras that were within that area would have been confiscated and the the (sic!) person carrying them arrested. [....] What I saw at certain moments and in certain places...is very frightening, I don't know who (sic!) to put it in words, what I saw leads me to the terrible conclusion that there was foreknowledge of what was going to happen."

Another story about Sonnenfeld & Chestnut.

in addition...

if you only use the Disaster Number 1391 (only enter the integers) to search for images without any other filters, you will only get a few more images to look through.

What ever happened in your meeting with Edwin Corr?

Edwin Corr:

former American ambassador to El Salvador

Chair of the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma City National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism

knows people like Felix Rodriguez

major OK City bombing coverup/PR duties

Iran Contra scandal subject

You had that set up last October?

You never did follow up on the blog you created about this?

http://www.911blogger.com/node/3726

"Chris; Based on all the public information I have seen, I am quite convinced that the 19 hi-jackers related to Al-Queda did carry out the bombings, and I cannot understand the human psychology that allows persons to discard hard evidence presented by deliberative commissions and public authorities to endorse fanciful conspiracy theories. This seems to be a common phenomena, whether it be the Kennedy assassination or the September 11, 2001 attack. I would be glad to take a few minutes to talk with you about this, but do not want to spend too much time on what I think is fanciful and irrational thinking, and is in the long run harmful to resolving problems. Please give me a call if you would like to meet for a half hour or less. I would have been in touch sooner, but just returned form a two week trip to Central America. Ed Corr"

keep us informed ...

where are these photos, now?

the more eyes, the better.

The photos are ON THE WAY!

Chris has FTP-ed all the photos to me and I am in the process of making and distributing backups, and preparing a torrent. I'll post here again, very soon, when they're ready for download.

Regarding photos of WTC7 prior to collapse, here's a collection: http://physics911.ca/gallery2/v/WTC7/before/ . See also http://physics911.ca/gallery2/v/WTC7/

Sweet !!!

Maybe you could liase with dz, Rep or SBG for FTP access, so us "non-torrenters" can access them too...

Would be handy to have them in 400MB or so zip/rar archives rather than individually.

Thanks and much appreciated.

PS... Those physics911.ca galleries ROCK !!!!

physics911.ca galleries

Those physics911.ca galleries ROCK !!!!

Thanks! I'm afraid the project is only 2/3 done. In 2005 I had the bright idea of compiling every single 9/11 photo I could find, which is when I started http://physics911.ca/gallery/ . But by 2006 I could barely keep up, and I gave up. I got about 90% of the photos I could find for WTC1,2,7, and Shanksville, but had only begun collecting Pentagon photos, so the Pentagon gallery is only about 50% complete.

If anyone would like to help complete the project, please email me at "webmaster (at) physics911.ca". It's very easy to import photos using this software (gallery2), just time-consuming gathering them all.

please email me via the

please email me via the email address in this image and i can get you FTP access so we can host these..

The photos were FTP'd to

The photos were FTP'd to about 3 different people. As well, I sent them on cd to my friend Richard Grove of 8thestate.com

I think they are up on conspiracycentral or whatever that torrent site is. If you don't torrent, i'm not sure how you can get them.

As far as Edwin Corr goes, I did not meet with him. I was in my last semester at school and could not find the time. I emailed him once more with a longer more detailed description but he never responded. No surprise.

'Engineering' quality Images = Our Best hope

Flickr? Why not go directly to Whitehouse.Gov?

You know the security drill,- Someone with a high-volume server, Not using Yahoo, or Hotmail, AOL, Comcastic, etc.

Just find a site *like this* and post the first image with a simple e'mail link. Some of us know too much, others too little to discern a perp from a genuine source, even though, really, Net Neutrality is the name of the game, and server speed/volume is the currency of this exchange.

You could also send them to Justin and Doc Tvedten, who could put out the set on a $1. donation CD, as posted here for DVD's

First they ridicule you, then you look for better ways to be entertained!
