SF Truth Action February 11th

On February 11th 2007, we did our part to help initiate an ongoing national campaign of 9/11 truth action with a visibility and outreach event in the heart of downtown San Francisco.

It had been raining here for days and I was bracing myself to be all alone in the pouring rain with my sign - I was ready for it! But the fates would have none of that and a patchy half-blue sky gave way to a glorious summer-like day. About 20 of us gathered near the cable car turnaround at the intersection of Powell and Market - a hotbed of tourists from all around the world. We set up two bases of operations - a cluster of us at the base of Powell Street held signs, engaged passersby and distributed dvds (911 Mysteries and Terrorstorm) while 100 feet away on Market Street Carol Brouillet had set up her table of books, dvds, stickers and flyers. From these two bases, roving teams infiltrated the area at large - handing out flyers and dvds, working the crowds and making trips up to Union Square with the bullhorn.

We got a great reception - many people stopped to talk and get a dvd, take pictures, etc. One guy asked to pose with my 9/11 TRUTH NOW sign while his friend took a picture. No bad vibes. The most prominent response seemed to be along the lines of "Yeah, I've heard about that. What's going on? You have dvds?"

I encourage everyone reading this to mark your calender right now - it's the eleventh day of every month. Note that this campaign is not about taking action only on the 11th. It's about ALL OF US taking action TOGETHER at the same time once a month - in addition to our other actions. We intend to make history - please join us.

thanks YT

Big props for organizing that demo. Everything about it was great- the weather, the location, the visibility, the turn-out. It was good getting to the tourists, because a majority of people in the Bay Area know the truth at this point (although more of them really ought to be *doing* something about it, but that's a different story).

thanks

I'm glad you were there.

Luke has a report from NYC at http://www.wearechange.org

I reposted it for him here.

I encourage creative activists to sign up at http://truthaction.org/forum and help plot the future of this campaign.

Good job!

Although I can't quite make out what the sign at the top says. :) Also, do the beards symbolize anything? I know during hockey playoffs, players refuse to shave out of superstition. Are you guys growing a beard until 9/11 Truth is successful?

LOL

I was commenting on our beards at the rally too. Scruffy hippies unite to win over middle america!

damn....i used to work RIGHT there in SF...I wish I was in the Bay Area for that.
Anyone know about anything going on in Seattle?
Thanks!

very nice---we had our own fun...

on the 11th at the film festival in Harvard Square. About 100 different people showed up over the three days ending on the 11th, which actually is just the number of emails they colelcted, so probably more than that total attended.

Harvard Square is also a tourist Mecca, which is great because tourists take the truth home with them all over the country and the world.

I'll be posting a short video soon of the event...

Awesome job, keep it up!

Looking forward to seeing your video, RT!

I've got some video too - I still haven't had a chance to review it yet.

Hopefully there's some good stuff and I can put together a little clip.

Great job!

And who is that pleasantly voluptuous girl? :-)

Carol Brouillet?

"So where is the oil going to come from?... The Middle East, with two-thirds of the world's oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies."

Richard Cheney - Chief Executive Of Halliburton

Ah ha, ah ha, ah ha ha ha ha ha

That's supposed to be my textual rendition of doubling over with laughter. No, I think he's talking about the somewhat Goth chick.

Ooooh, Vesa. You're really letting us get to know the real you. :)

Oh...

I didn't see her at first.

I mean, not that Carol Brouillet isn't *also* hot...

it's just that I have a pretty good idea of what Finnish guys go for, and I had that Goth girl picked out for Vesa before I even saw his post.

Although Carol is cute...

... you interpreted me quite correctly, dear casseia. :-)

However, to be quite honest, I prefer somewhat more slender ladies, such as these two artists whose ardent fan I am:

Mylene:

Kylie:

My goodness!

Note to Kylie: when wearing very short tennis skirts, panties are usually a good idea!

A little bit of naughtiness...

... and exhibitionism is always a plus!

I think Carol Brouillet

is hot. Plus, very sharp.

Carol is the hottest

of the hot - and she's been taking 9/11 truth to the streets since January 2002.

The Eleventh Day of Every Month

Had a great time guys. We

Had a great time guys. We definatly had a positive impact. Next month I will have alot of copies of terrorstorm, I think its good for people with questions to see how our gov't is responsible for state sponsored terrorism across the globe as well as false flag operations.

Nice to meet all of you, lets stay in touch!

Great job! I hope this

Great job!

I hope this campaign gets some coverage in the alternative press in the coming weeks. I'm in the process of making a promo vid which I'm hoping will go viral. Each action needs to grow exponentially. If we can get half-a-dozen cities involved in the next action there's no stopping us.

The Eleventh Day of Every Month

you rock myk

I'm looking forward to working together.

Lalo Great job, so good to

Lalo

Great job, so good to see younger people out there. Our group is mostly older people, as in mostly grey hair-with all due respect. There are two colleges in this town, but are there any students at the meetings? Just me. What's up, students: fixated on the "careers" that you think you might get, to pay off those school loans? So glad to see SF'ers out there, to see some 'Truthers under 50. C'mon kids, toss the apathy or video games or Budweisers and wake up to the most significant event of your lives and how the Truth will affect our conception of government and Power throughout the rest of history.

SF action

Hey guys,

The young guys a scared because they are smart. They know we are right. They just don’t know yet that we will win.

If we are right, and we show courage now would we do better with the ladies later when we are politically correct? Are the ladies (any really everyone) attracted to real guts? This is a retorical question. I already know the answer but it needs asking.

Carol looks fine to me!

Well done Bay Area!

I'm glad to see how many showed up, and glad to hear that the reception was great! It really seems like more people are aware than a year ago.

I just might come your way for March 11.

(p.s. Nice T-shirt, Carol!)

The Eleventh Day of Every Month

thanks

Come on down, Zach - that would be great.

You've got time so maybe you can hook up a ride and not have to waste cash on transportation.

The Eleventh Day of Every Month

Looks like you all had a great day

Unfortunately, I was sick as a dog and couldn't make it.

Seeing as March 11 is another Sunday we may want to consider going to Sacramento and reinforcing the group there for greater impact in the state capitol. I'd be up for the trip.

I think we should also try to get a regular thing going in San Jose (is there any kind of group there at all?) and Santa Rosa, as well. These are large population centers.

Something to think about, anyway.

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

I'll be in SF on March 11

We're already planning Sunday in the Park with 9/11 Truth for that day. This is my city for better or worse and frankly, it needs help. If operator kos is right that most people here know what's going on, they sure the fuck don't act like it. The street action scene here has been sadly lacking - a few of us here and there alone doing outreach and the tag-alongs at the gatekept peace marches - I'm quite looking forward to building on our success of February 11th and turning this situation right around.

I do like the idea of all of us descending on our state capitols.

I'm thinking along the lines of May or June 11th. Help Wanted.

The Eleventh Day of Every Month

I agree with you that SF and the Bay Area

still needs a lot of work. My own daily interaction with people in the north Bay underlines this fact.

I ran into a totally brainwashed Bush supporter in San Rafael today.

My reason for suggesting a trip to Sac in March as it is the last weekend 11th for quite some time and many can't make it during the week. I'd love to do an action while all the politicians are at the Capitol, however. Get in their face and get video, civil but unyielding and do a lot of educating.

I'm very interested to hear your idea for a Sunday in the Park with Truth, museums perhaps? Is there a bandstand concert that day? I'm all about going to where the people are and going after new demographics.

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

The possibilities are endless

for a Sunday of 9/11 truth in a park as big as Golden Gate Park.

The tentative general idea is to stage a demonstration at one of the entrances to the park and then do visibility and outreach at key spots throughout the park. I haven't yet looked into what different things will be going on there that day but that might inspire some ideas for targeting. Hitting up one or more of the museums will be fun.

Ideas for future 11ths include actions at City Hall, the state capitol, a national day of freeway blogging for 9/11 truth etc. If you have good ideas, contribute some here.

The Eleventh Day of Every Month

I tried to get

rally started in Santa Cruz for Feb. 11 but no one came. If people are interested in the south bay or central coast area, please send 'em my way!!!

santacruz911truth@yahoo.com

Do it March 11

You've got time to get the word out now -

If I hear from people in your general area I'll definitely send 'em your way.
