Police State Infrastructure Emerging

Localities Operate Intelligence Centers To Pool Terror Data

So-called "fusion centers" of intelligence gathering have arisen since 9/11, with the assistance of $380 million in federal funding. This WashPo article notes the quiet convergence of local policing and Homeland Security:

"But the emerging model of "intelligence-led policing" faces risks on all sides. The centers are popping up with little federal leadership and training, raising fears of overzealousness such as that associated with police "red squads" that spied on civil rights and peace activists decades ago. The centers also face practical obstacles that could limit their effectiveness, including a shortage of money, skilled analysts, and proven relationships with the FBI and Homeland Security.

Still, the centers are emerging as a key element in a sometimes chaotic new domestic intelligence infrastructure, which also includes homeland security units in local police forces and 103 FBI-led terrorism task forces, triple the number that existed before the Sept. 11 attacks."

Good find.

And total garbage. The "fusion centers", that is.

Even if we took the OT at its word, the criminally negligent non-act of ignoring the PDB warning of an attack by highjacking airplanes still puts the ADMINISTRATION at fault, not locals and Feds failing to work with each other.

And love how they spin not letting FBI take over local PD's as a turf war? We love our Mayor here for withdrawing our police officers from the "Terrorism Task Force", where they COULD NOT reveal what they did in that office, even though our mayor is also the police commisioner and would be responsible for their actions.

Impeachment. Accountability. A better world.

Mr. President...

You knew they were in the United States. You were warned by the CIA. You knew in July they were inside the United States. You were told again by briefing officers in August that it was a dire threat. Didn't do anything to harden our border security. Didn't do anything to harden airport security. Didn't do anything to engage local law enforcement. Didn't do anything to round up INS and the consular office, and say we have to shut this down, and didn't warn the American people. What did you do? Nothing so far as we can see.

— Bob Kerrey - 9/11 Commissioner

And did anybody from the

And did anybody from the administration respond?

I expect not, or you'd say, but you never know...

Impeachment. Accountability. A better world.

Sure they did...

It's an "absurd insinuation."

I don't know if anyone directly responded to this statement from Kerrey... but that was Bush's response when a reporter asked him a question along those lines.

"Absurd Insinuation"

That doesn't sound like a pre-planned, canned, packaged response does it?

Especially by Bush.

No way he came up with that phrase on his own...he was given that....

Just like his "let us not entertain outrageous conspiracy theories" (paraphrase) from his 11/01 speech to the nation....

....They knew they screwed up the execution of 9/11 so badly, they were worried early....

There's a time for politics...

:)

...I bet you've got a million of them, Jon....

I especially like the affected exasperated stammering before that one....

The obvious...

Telling thing is the very fact that he did stammer, and pause for a question that implies what that one did.

Imagine if someone asked you if you had prior knowledge of 2,973+ people being brutally murdered, trying to imply that you purposefully, "let it happen."

How would you respond?

"We've been offered a unique opportunity and we must not let this moment pass."

— George W. Bush - State Of The Union Address - January 29th, 2002

The slurring, too

Not only did he stammer on that one, he also slurred his words when said "absurd insinuation." It was more than that dry-drunk slurring he always does. It was the slur of hesitation, maybe even shame, for the words he was saying were so outrageous even a pathological mass murderer had trouble saying them.

A telling moment, for sure.

If the notion is as "absurd" as he and the "debunkers" imply...

He should have responded with...

"Are you out of your mind? I can't believe you're actually listening to what the Conspiracy Theorists are saying. I am insulted, and demand an apology for what your question implies. 2,973+ were brutally murdered on 9/11 by radical muslims under the direction of Khalid Sheikh Mohammad and Osama Bin Laden. If there were a "Conspiracy", don't you think the 9/11 Commission would have stumbled across it?"

Maybe I'm wrong to think that being accused of murder when you're supposedly innocent, deserves a stronger response.

Excellent...

This sounds alot like the

This sounds alot like the outrage Mark Roberts tries to drum up when he's run out of psuedo facts--but without the conviction. Notice how when he's whipping himself up into a " how dare you" distraction "argument" his eyes are sort of lowered, never quite meeting his target?

A sign of false emotion or depression.

Impeachment. Accountability. A better world.

Dear Jon

EXACTLY!........If it were me,and i was innocent. The censors would have had to work overtime.

I would respond with

I would respond with controlled outrage and frustration. Not stammer and look sheepish.

I would also have answered the actual question that was asked, not respond to what was implied by it. "No, it's not hate speech, but it is a little disconcerting that Howard Dean entertains such notions."

Cooperativeresearch.org has

Cooperativeresearch.org has met its quarterly fund-raising goal of $10,000. Congrats, and hooray that it continues as a resource for 9/11 truth.

A CD of 9/11 Timeline?

That's great news, rollo.

I was wondering if it's technically feasible to create a CD of the 9/11 Timeline, with cached web pages attached to the links? Somehow, we need a permanent record of the database itself and the stories it links to (of course, there was a book version three years ago). Such a CD might be sold for a minimal fee, and would be useful for activists.

The Timeline remains an essential resource for 9/11 Truth.

If you have...

The full version of Adobe Acrobat, you can save the entire website as a .pdf file. Unfortunately, I don't have Adobe Acrobat.

I really don't know. You

I really don't know. You could ask someone who operates cooperativeresearch.org. Also, there is a book that was published on it: The Terror Timeline. So its "permanence" is safe. Even more so if they publish an updated edition.

I don't know how useful a CD

I don't know how useful a CD would be for activists though. Cooperativeresearch.org is right there on the web, easy to use and free. We just need to get people to go there and read some of those timelines!

I think what would be really useful for an activist is to pick out the really juicy articles in the timeline. One of the most amazing I saw was this: (http://www.cooperativeresearch.org/context.jsp?item=a98globalhawk#a98glo...).

Cached pages

Well, the CD could be useful because it would contain cached web pages (you don't run the risk of linking to a bunch of moved or deleted web pages -- which, over time, could happen -- just witness what the BBC did to the hijacker identity story).

An updated edition of the book is possible, too.

My main concern was preserving the pages linked to in the timeline, and preserving the timeline beyond any possible fund raising catastrophes.

A CD is also more portable than the book, which is oversized.

The CD would also be very useful for presentations and teach-ins

As I am planning on starting at least one study group very soon these kinds of resources would be very useful.

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

Be well.
