Bordertown clip: "The news isn't the news anymore" Martin Sheen's character

I stumbled upon this clip, and did a bit of researching into the movie. "At the Berlin International Film Festival Jennifer Lopez received the "Artists for Amnesty," award presented by Amnesty International. She won the award for her role as producer and star of a film 'examining the ongoing murders of hundreds of women in a Mexican border town.'" I lived in El Paso for a few years. In my last apartment, I could look across the border into Juarez and seen the shanties and squalor. I've also spent some time researching at trying to expose the contemporary slave trade. There is a convergence of sorts in this movie. I don't care for Hollywood as a rule, but this looks like a must see:

"They Are Coming To Kills Us": A Radical Experiment in Empathy

"They Are Coming To Kills Us"

Sam Richards - A Radical Experiment in Empathy

Sam Richards is a sociologist and award-winning teacher who has been inspiring undergraduate students at Penn State since 1990. Every semester, 725 students register for his Race and Ethnic Relations course, one of the most popular classes at Penn State and the largest of its kind in the country. Through his natural ability of seeing a subject from many angles, Richards encourages students to engage more fully with the world and to think for themselves — something he did not do until his third year in college. Because of his passion for challenging students to open their minds, an interviewer recently referred to him as "an alarm clock for eighteen-year-olds."

Lashkar-e-Tayyiba: al Qaeda for the Next Generation

The curious case of David Coleman Headley got me looking into whether something else might be afoot in the shadows. If you are unfamiliar with Headley, he is the US citizen who recently plead guilty to having a role in the November 26, 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack. Apparently his guilty plea also included his having a role in the plot to kill people at a Danish newspaper. According to the Christian Science Monitor's March 18, 2010 article, David Headley pleads guilty in 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack:

David Coleman Headley, a US citizen, could have been sentenced to death by lethal injection for his alleged involvement in the India attacks that left more than 164 dead, including six Americans. But with his guilty plea, prosecutors have agreed not to seek the death penalty or to extradite him to India, Pakistan, or Denmark.

CIA denies US terror- suspect David Coleman Headley was its agent

December 17th, 2009 - 2:33 pm ICT by ANIWashington, Dec 17 (ANI): The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) on Thursday has rebuffed all reports claiming Pakistani-origin US national David Coleman Headley; accused in the 26/11 terror attacks of being a CIA agent.

CIA spokesperson Marie E Harf denied that Headley had connections with the CIA, when posed questions related to Headley’s links with the CIA.

“I can’t comment on an ongoing investigation, but any suggestion that this individual worked for the CIA is flat wrong,” said the CIA spokesperson.

Headley is one of the two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) operatives arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in October. The FBI got Headley while he was planning to head towards Pakistan via Philadelphia.

There are charges against him of plotting a major terror attack against India that left 166 people dead in Mumbai.

Intelligence Officers for 9/11 Truth: Terrell E. Arnold

I was reading through this transcript of an interview with Gene Wheaton, and following up on the names mentioned. In particular this:

At that black tie party at the Palm Restaurant on the 4th of December in 1985, I was specifically invited by Neil Livingston and to come in and meet Ollie North, and it was a party to promote Neil Livingston’s(sic) book, called "Fighting Back", and the subtitle was "The War on Terrorism". He and a State Department/CIA spook by the name of Terry Arnold wrote that book together and this was the coming-out party for the book, and all the covert operations community, the real snake eaters, were going to be there with black ties. Ollie North was there and Bud McFarland and I don’t know, 75 or 100 people in black ties, having drinks and dinner and hobnobbing and they felt like ... the atmosphere at that party was one of ‘We are the shadow government running the United States.’ It was almost like a diplomatic party or a State Department coming out party for a regime. These guys were in charge, and that was how they presented it.

High on Terror: 9/11 and the Illicit Drug Trade

I started writing this as a comment in reply to: Rahm Emanuel Helped GOP Sink 9/11 Trial. I realized it was getting long and potentially off topic. So I decided to produce a blog entry instead.

The dispute about trials for these alleged 9/11 perpetrators is a ploy to prolong the myth of al Qaeda involvement in 9/11. What sane and informed person believes that the people responsible for the mass murder committed on 9/11/01 are in custody? Even if al Qaeda had some role in the attacks — which I don't believe — they were no more than patsies for the people who orchestrated the attacks. Since those criminals have not been exposed by the MSM nor charged by law enforcement, they apparently have the power to prevent any criminal proceedings which would incriminate them.

I seriously question who is actually at Guantanamo Bay, and what they are doing there. Are they the people named by government officials and the MSM as accused terrorist detainees? Are they really detained there? If so, why?

Held In A Psychiatric Ward & Called “Delusional” For Saying 9/11 Was An Inside Job

This article tells a rather frightening account of one woman's experience with the mental health profession as a result of her believes regarding 9/11.

I can honestly say that I experienced a similar misdiagnoses at the hands of the US Department of Veterans Affairs. I really don't believe it was "politically motivated". The people making the diagnosis evidently honestly believed what they were saying. After very vocal protests, they finally conceded that I did not satisfy the clinical criteria for being paranoid and delusional. They actually went so far as to conduct a Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV Axis I Disorders (SCID-I). Along with results from other testing they concluded that I have "superior intelligence" and that my thinking shows no evidence of "slippage".
