This is Jim Fetzer, your host with Kevin Barrett, where you can catch The Boy Wonder here on Mondays and Fridays, and I’m here Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. You can, that is, unless he’s off in Morocco trying to track down one of those alleged suicide hijackers. He speaks fluent French and Arabic and, of course, he is a convert to Islam, and I think if anyone can pull of this stunt, it’s going to be Kevin. So I look forward to hopefully even having him on the show so he can talk about what he’s discovered while he’s over there.

NOTE: This exchange was initiated by a post from Nila Sagadevan endorsing “proof of thermate” in a post included at the end. Steve's replies to my original are identified, as are my new responses. I have edited asides in order to focus on the important issues, where anyone who has received the originals can verify the difference for themselves. I have had the great benefit of expert advice from Judy Wood, Ph.D., in preparing this reply. In my opinion, the most serious question facing the 9/11 truth movement is the adequacy of this line of research.

I am fascinated with your seemingly unqualified endorsement of Steve Jones' thermite/thermate hypothesis. I hope that some of the members of this list can help me figure this out, because I must be missing something not to recognize that his approach holds the key to understanding what happened at the World Trade Center. Please ask your list if someone could help me figure out what I have wrong. Thanks!

On February 18, 2007 Britain’s world-renowned broadcast organization aired an hour-long episode in its series, The Conspiracy Files. It purported to debunk the “inside job” claims of those in the 911 Truth Community. Dylan Avery from the Internet movie “Loose Change”, James Fetzer from Scholars For 911 Truth and Alex Jones from Infowars.com were the token representatives of those who consider the US FedGov “official story” to be utter fabrications.

The goal of this analysis is not to expose each and every bogus or misleading aspect of the BBC2 video. It will be to concentrate on a few key examples within this TV show (it is not a fact based documentary) and let you decide whether the series’ tagline - “Separating Fact From Fiction” - is apt or just so much BBC-BS.

Madison, WI (PRWEB) March 30, 2007 – Some members of Scholars for 9/11 Truth, a non-partisan organization of students, experts and scholars dedicated to exposing falsehoods and revealing truths about 9/11, have filed complaints against the National Institute of Standards and Technology for legal defects in its studies of events of 9/11 involving the Twin Towers and Building 7. James H. Fetzer, the society’s founder, believes these actions have the potential to break the back of the cover-up that has enveloped these events.

“It would be nice if the government would tell us the truth about our own history,” Fetzer said. “But all we get from the President, the Vice President, the Secretary of State and former Secretary of Defense is a ‘song and dance’ that keeps the American people in ignorance.” The complaints have been filed by Ed Hass, who edits The Muckraker Report; Morgan Reynolds, past Chief Economist in the Department of Labor in the Bush administration; and Judy Wood, former professor of mechanical engineering at Clemson University. Reynolds and Wood are both members of the society.

Madison, WI (PRWEB) February 1, 2007 – Members of Scholars for 9/11 Truth, a non-partisan organization of students, experts and scholars dedicated to exposing falsehoods and revealing truths about 9/11, have some bones to pick with CBS NEWS for an article entitled, “Dangerous World Fuels Conspiracy Theories” (30 January 2007). According to James H. Fetzer, the society’s founder, “It is chock full of false assertions, even including misidentification of Steven Jones, my former co-chair, as the society’s founder.”

“That is rather rich,” Fetzer said. “Steve and I have had a parting of the ways over differences in our attitude and approach toward the science and the politics of 9/11 research. But if he had been ‘the founder’, he should have been conducting a ‘house cleaning’, not abandoning ship.” The split between them, Fetzer added, has had a beneficial effect. “A cult-like atmosphere had developed around him, which I considered to be bad for scientific research on 9/11.”

These studies deserve widespread discussion. If they are right, then there is a desperate need to broad the range of hypotheses under our consideration.

Abstract-Foreword

Disturbed about the content and quality of physicist Steven E. Jones'
9/11 work, Drs. Morgan Reynolds and Judy Wood conducted a
peer-review. This review covers ten major issues which include
demolition of WTC 7, demolitions of WTC 1&2, evidence for high-energy
explosives, thermite, glowing aluminum, No Big Boeing Theory (NBB)
and other issues. In the "truth movement," it is vital that we
police our own. If we don't, the defenders of the OGCT certainlly
will. You can be sure that it will get mighty ugly when defenders of
the OGCT find major errors. This is the purpose for having research
peer reviewed.

This is to inform you that I (along with chemist Kevin Ryan and many others)
have withdrawn from association with Jim Fetzer (JF) and "his" version of
Scholars for 9/11 Truth, and to provide reasons for this action.

1. On the Scholars web site he manages ( www.st911.org ), Jim Fetzer casts
aspersions on my research regarding the use of thermates at the World Trade
Center on 9/11/2001 -- which is fine as long as he provides serious technical
objections, which he has not done. At the same time, JF is promoting on the web
site notions that energy-beams from WTC 7 or from space knocked the Towers down.
I have invited Jim repeatedly to view the video of my talk given 11/11/06 at the
University of California at Berkeley which provides the latest physical
evidences for thermate use, reinforcing the data in my published paper. He
