Imagine, if you will, a talk radio host spewing anger and hate. Now, was the host in your imagination a conservative? Well, that’s an unfair stereotype because, last Friday, Mike Malloy proved liberals can do it just as well as a hundred righties by going on a rant which culminated in him directing Liz Cheney to plan her father’s funeral. Hooray, equality! We’re all crazy!

Malloy was discussing the younger Cheney’s reactions to the infamous “absorb a terrorist attack” quote in Bob Woodward’s new book. Cheney had some harsh words for President Obama but Malloy had some harsher words for the woman’s father. Here’s a transcription from Newsbusters:

Well, now we know. Thank goodness, too. For the past seven years it's just been driving me crazy. How in the world did WTC number 7 manage to collapse if it was not hit by anything during the 9/11 attack and no explosives were set deliberately. Sheesh, what a mystery . . .

Well, a report by engineers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in suburban Washington was released today and the cause was . . . a fire 400 feet away. Yeah. There you go. A fire up the street a ways. Got it. Wow. So simple. How'd I miss it? I'm embarrassed. According to the New York Times today " . . . investigators determined that debris from the falling twin towers ignited fires on at least 10 floors at 7 World Trade Center, which was about 400 feet north of where the city’s two tallest buildings once stood. The blazes burned out of control for six hours, as the city fire department, devastated by the collapse of the twin towers, abandoned its efforts to extinguish the fire, and the sprinkler system was incapacitated."

Malloy reads an email from one of his loyal listeners, "Bob", on 9/11 and the possible motivations of "debunkers".

Hi. Malloy here. It’s Monday, September 18, 2006. Well, it’s been almost three weeks since we were fired by the really, really strange pod-people who have temporarily taken over Air America. Tonight’s program will be hosted by my good friend Peter Werbe. Not sure what he’s talking about tonight, but do tune in. If you’re wondering how we’re writing and posting this mini-blog it’s simply because the airheads in Air America’s executive suites – the pod-people mentioned above – are too, um, stupid to figure out how to handle their own website access. The door’s wide open. So we dashed in just for the hell of it to post this “howdy, how is everyone?”

Frankly, we think the suits are too stupid to stop us so we’ll probably do this every day and also post a longer blog inside the site where we used to. Until they figure out what we’re doing and stop our fun. Bastards. Just mean ol’ right-wing bastard pod-people running our Air America. Air America Network in Turmoil

Liberal Air America radio host Mike Malloy had his show abruptly "terminated" on Wednesday, allegedly for financial reasons. The network is failing but there could be another factor behind the Malloy debacle. There is still fallout from Malloy's recent decision to turn over two-and-a-half hours of his three hour show to a former associate of ex-con Lyndon LaRouche, a perennial candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination who campaigns against what he views as British and Zionist control of the U.S. political system. The LaRouche organization is frequently labeled as a cult.

"...I suspect Malloy's termination was more about personality than performance. It certainly was not about money. My suggestion to those who love Mike Malloy is to do what the audience of 60 Minutes did when they terminated Andy Rooney several years ago.
