Bay Area Bridge And WTC Tower Collapses: No Comparison. Here's Why.

Observing seeming opportunists in the media selectively comparing the recent fire induced California Bay area bridge collapse and the apparent deliberate destruction of the World Trade Center towers is truly like watching a comparison of apples and oranges.

One Associated Press account of the Bay area event reads as follows:

"Some scientists were studying linkages between the freeway collapse and how the World Trade Center came down on Sept. 11, 2001.

The structural failures appear similar, said David McCallen, division leader in nonproliferation, homeland and international security at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory."

Stop!

No honest comparison of the 2 events can ever proceed until the media begins to include all available evidence for comparison, including the abundant evidence of explosive device use in the World Trade Center tower destructions (evidence first acknowledged, then later suppressed):

And no honest comparison of the 2 events can begin - much less continue - until the media begins to acknowledge the additional abundant evidence of the use of extreme incendiaries like thermite, related to the destruction of the World Trade Center towers:

"Some scientists were

"Some scientists were studying linkages between the freeway collapse and how the World Trade Center came down on Sept. 11, 2001...."

Soooo, why do "some scientists" jump on junk science like this, but not on the real science of 9/11?

Grab ahold of that thread...

... and pull with all your might.

Bridge collapse at I-580 raises questions related to 9/11

The San Francisco Chronicle reports with very little detail that yesterday a truck "crash melted an overhead connector to Interstate 580, causing it to collapse." An explosion, described in another article, was "so powerful and hot that it melted steel and brought down a freeway...."

This raises questions relevant to many persons questioning the official 9/11 Commission Report....

Maybe I'm missing something,

Maybe I'm missing something, but this is a BRIDGE, not a skyscraper. It isn't even a proper bridge--it's an over pass. The loads, materials redundancies and everything else are different from a steel frame reinforced skyscraper. WTF?

Or did someone make this "accident"--to give "some" scientists something to study?

"It's almost your perfect tabletop exercise — real pristine, clean, and nobody got hurt,

Uh-huh. What are the odds? And with no loss of life, the investigation will not be as vigourous in some ways...

Something smells...

Impeachment. Accountability. A better world.

Counterpunch dove right onto this

Our old friend Manuel Garcia Jr. jumped at breakneck speed:

Counterpunch refuses to acknowledge Kevin Ryan, who kicked Garcia's ass all over the place:

I think the quickest and easiet retort about this bridge is "redundancy." A bridge section is supported at two points. If one of them fails, it falls. A WTC tower has 47 interior and 236 exterior columns and can redistribute weight. A significant number of them would need to fail to initiate a collapse (Bazant and Zhou said 50%). What's more, that would be an A-symmetrical collpase. Symmetry in that case is pretty much impossible from fire.

This incident Proves!

At some point I MIGHT have considered some of the BEDUNKERS to have any sort of critical thinking.

After this incident, it actually showed who the experts are and who are not.
The so called "physicist" Manuel Asssssia, comparing a freeway to WTC is a proof.

I also checked the JREF, and they ALSO used it as some sort of proof.

The funny thing is we have shown multiple examples of much more severe fires in STEEL SKYSCRAPERS than those observed in WTC, and non failed or collapsed appart from a wall or some local damage. We showed experiments made by NIST and FEMA under even more extreme conditions than on 9/11, none failed.

They always used to "fire back" by saying this building is not the SAME! This has a concrete element! This fire is not the same! WA WA WA!

Now, they consider a FREEWAY the same (Or even remotely comparable) ?!?! The irony.

This only proves beyond doubt that they are just blind people that "act" as if smarter than the rest and have any "sort" of critical thinking.
